We stayed at this facility with our 12 year old daughter's soccer team. In the course of 24 hours a group of 6-7 12 year old girls were followed by 4 MASKED MEN who trapped them in a hallway chased them back to a room and banged on the door demanding to be let in. The men fled when parents arrived only to be seen wandering the hotel later the next day. Security and hotel management did not respond nor did the Uniondale police. Additionally while this was happening a parents wallet was stolen and several other members of our party had calls about suspicious credit card activity. There has been ZERO response from Marriott! When the police arrived the next morning one of the parents was told the hotel has a large homeless population occupying half the hotel. Would have been excellent information prior to check in with group of children.

Stay elsewhere. This Marriott has issues with the elevators, the front desk staff are rude and even though you don’t need a key to get to your highly outdated room, they won’t even let Uber deliver to your door lol. THEY MAKE YOU COME DOWN TO THE FRONT DESK. I asked for a robe and a kettle and they say that’s not available. It’s a big outdated hotel in the middle of a big parking lot. The lobby is upgraded so it gives the illusion the rest of the hotel is 😂. This is click bait

Visited this large, hopping hotel several times in the past since we moved off of the Island. After all, I love Long Island since I lived in an antique home and raised a family near the beaches for 16 years. This Marriott has a great location. It's easy to get to all the highways, shopping, restaurants and beaches. The executive room is spacious and comfortable. The room is well appointed. Rooms are surprisingly quiet. A balcony is an added bonus. The staff l is friendly. Parking is close by. It is also nice to have a bar that serves food and is open late at night. The restaurant is large and inviting with a helpful manager, Ricardo. Lobbies are spacious. My only complaint is.. Keep reading..... The smallish bath does need a complete redo . It is old and dreary. A state of the art rain shower, jacuzzi tub, new counters and fixtures , upscale decorating and a general state of the art "look" would add wonders to this room. Hope you are listening, Marriott!

I have stayed here half a dozen times. Prior to Covid I felt it was an average hotel but now I would rate it below average. As a Bonvoy lifetime Platinum member not only have I never been offered an upgrade but actually have been booked into an even lower category than I booked and paid for. It is common to have to wait for our room even after the 3PM check in time. The last time we had to wait they offered drink coupons but after sitting in the lounge for 20 minutes neither of the wait staff (in an empty bar) offered to serve us. There is not much to choose from which might be why they can get away with such poor service in this area but I stay here with extremely low expectation and this Marriott rarely disappoints with disappointing. PS: They had no soap in the room and only 2 towels for our 3 person stay.

Recently booked a vacation staying 7 nights at the Uniondale Marriott Hotel where i have stayed many times including booking meeting rooms and had business associates stay. Checking in i was told i only had one night reserved instead of 7 upon further digging into the clerk said i see you had 7 nights but they only sent over one night and would get back to me shortly, they never did. So my grandson and i stayed that night and during the night my grandson had a problem breathing and coughing and really did not think much of it until the morning when he woke up and could hardly breath. In the process of getting up he flipped the comforter up and i noticed black patches in the bedspread appeared to be mold. At that point i told him we were going to check out and went down stairs. When i went to check out the girl at the desk checked us out and did not even ask why so i asked do you want to know why and her reply was ok why. at that point i showed her a picture of the mold on the bedspread and she said that is terrible, sorry, we will give you 20k points, which i never received as of yet. We went to another Marriott where they were very nice, and hotel was spotless. My only complaint was this hotel was much more expensive and not in my budget but had to make it work. My grandson was still not breathing well had to get him medicine and he improved in a couple of days but felt our vacation was ruined as i had to spend extra on the hotel and not able to do the sightseeing we planned. Not a great first impression for my grandson seeing it was his first visit. I will continue to leave negative comments about this hotel wherever i can. I am a loyal Marriott Customer for many years prior to retiring but will think about how loyal going forward.
