I am going to start this off on a positive note. The gentileman at the front desk was very nice. The room was like a 60's time warp, the furniture was very dated and worn. The lamp on the night stand did not work (I moved the bulb to another lamp and it worked). The TV was the size of the old Motel 6 models. It had a lousy picture, was fuzzy and had lines all through it. I could not get the WiFi to connect. In all fairness the hot water was excellent. I would never stay there again

Great location, interior courtyard, parking in front of your room, SAFE, easy access to walkway over the Hudson & bike trails, Vasaar, CIA. Etc. This is an older Motel in need of a face lift, clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. Coffee & donuts in the lobby or Table talk Diner just down the road. Note; we always travel with our own pillows for comfort.
If your fussy there are other hotels at double the price. We stayed 5 days, 4 nights.
We would stay there again.

The rooms smell. First room nasty. Second room, smelly & chunks of something hairy from the AC unit. (Which did not have a cover.)Third room was in separate building & was a "little" better so I stayed there. There was a stain on the sheet on the second bed and stains on the carpet. The hotel is very dated and run down. Not enough plugs for the items in the room let alone a phone charger or PC (no WiFi) You had to unplug a lamp to use the microwave! The TV was older than I am. On the plus side - It was cheap. And it had an awesome shower. Great water pressure and HOT water! But again very dated. I would suggest only staying there if money is your biggest concern or there is not another vacancy for 100 miles

Please do not stay here the room we were given was revolting!!!! I wish I were able to attach pics. 1. The room smelled like cat urine. 2. The rug was stained (numerous places) as was the furniture. 3. The bathroom tub was grubby and the shower curtain was moldy on the inside!! 4. The sheets were stained. 5. The continental breakfast (bagels) was stale 6 We complained no resolution the person just had the attitude that she wasn’t part of the cleaning crew.

We staid at Econo Lodge 1 night last week. We first wanted to see a room. The woman at the check-in desk gave us the key for room 159 which was ok. But when we checked in she gave us room 169. And this room stinks like there is all over mould. I nearly get sick. Also the furniture was shabby. The carpet was very revolting. We complained and get another room (# 171). This was a little bit better. But not really. I felt very unwell at this hotel. We paid 112 Dollar and for this price the rooms were an impertinence. Not to forget the very uninterested staff and the bad breakfast.

My boyfriend and I woke up in bed after one night of staying at the Poughkeepsie Inn to find ourselves surrounded by live bed bugs. After seeing the bugs crawling all over the bed, management was apologetic and refunded us for the room, but we are both completely covered in bed bug bites after just one night. Worst hotel experience of my life. If you stay here, beware, and check the room thoroughly for bed bugs before you stay.

I made a four-night reservation and left after one night. The majority of rooms are hidden in the back. The hotel was 95% vacant and the few "guests" they had were sketchy. There are signs on the outside of the building advising you that the fire alarms do not automatically alert the fire department and that a call is required. Based on the darkness and the sketchy residents I truly felt unsafe. I got stuck here on a busy "parents weekend" which allowed the hotels to double their rates so I bit on this place at over $100/night. It is a transient hotel worth about $20/night tops. I paid $250/night at a neighboring hotel just so I felt that I would wake up alive. Location is convenient but that's the only positive that I can add. Don't do it.

Do NOT stay at this place. Chalk up the extra money for the Holiday Inn. Even the Super 8 is better than here. If there are no rooms available anywhere else in Poughkeepsie except here; do yourself a favor and stay down in Fishkill. Its worth the drive. Marist friends, family, alumni - do not stay here! Yes its one of the closest hotels to campus but so not worth it. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. There is no reason this place should look like this.

Charged $170.71, refused to stay at the hotel. If you are planning to do some filming and need a location that screams "you have hit the rock bottom", look no further. You won't need to do much work to add character beyond "ever cleaned bathroom?" "cigarette burns all over the bedding" "strange stain on the chair, I think they could make any pants dirtier" "strange broken machine in the wall, looks like an air conditioner from a different generation". Perfect for typical "end of the line chemical addiction" storyline, but a bit severe looking for "sappy bad luck guy ultimately makes good". Maybe useful to test how strong your antidepressants are?

The area surrounding this Hotel makes you think it's a cheap safe place. Don't be fooled. Heroin needles in the parking lot and a blood stain the size of a basket ball on the side of the mattress. I'd swear by the size of it, who ever it was from couldn't have survived. Cops in the parking lot every night. Tonight they were here due to a missing person. Do some research before you stay here!
