This motel was OK. We paid little money, so that was good. Most things were alright, but the bathroom door in our room did not latch. We were staying with another couple, so it was a little strange. We had to put the garbage next to the door to hold it closed. Also, the room smelled like smoke even though it was supposedly a non-smoking room.

Wallpaper is peeling off the wall. The mattress was not squarely on top of the box spring and a vast amount of dried blood was visible. It was disgusting. We moved the mattress back into place. Beds do not have fitted sheets. The pool is not open for use. The owner is very nice. There is free breakfast. If you just need a cheap place to sleep, this is adequate. Convenient location. Bathroom is very clean. Not enough places to plug in devices. We carry a power strip with us.

I came to Poughkeepsie because my Grandmother had passed away. I needed a cheap place to stay. Looked fine on the website. When we pulled in, the state police were "visiting" guests in other rooms. Every time we pulled into the parking lot, everybody who stayed there would run out and stare at us. The room was filthy. We went to the store and got our own cleaners to clean the bathroom, which hardly worked. The staff was odd, and had the personality and professionalism of rocks. Next time I will pay more and stay in Poughkeepsie. I almost asked for my money back, and went elsewhere, but stuck it out for the night.

I just traveled through Southeast Asia for 4 months and have a very high threshold for budget accommodation, but this was truly terrible. I agree with the review titled "Wow, and not a good wow". The place looks ok from the outside but the room was bad throughout. The smell was a stale musty, cigarette and mold smell that permeated everything in my suitcase. The walls were covered in a variety of scuff marks, scratches, cigarette burns and other unmentionable stains. The carpet look filthy and when I accidentally put my bare foot down next to the bed it was saturated with liquid. I ran in the bathroom to wash my feet and wore my flip flops but when my husband did the same his sock was stained a grayish brown. I understand from local friends that this place serves as Section 8 housing and it's too bad for those that depend on this place for their home. The sheets actually looked fairly clean--that's the best I can say about it. Their aren't many options in this area, but I recommend traveling to another town, even if it's inconvenient. For the first time in many years of travel we almost abandoned the place but stuck it out for the night and now, thankfully, it is but an amusing memory, making most other places look very favorable.

This is a step above a homeless shelter, I am not kidding. I live in Pleasant Valley and I didnt act Halley think they rented rooms to people until I read these reviews. I won't even turn my car around in their parking lot. Sex offenders live there. Do not stay here.

This motel was not very good at all. Now its not hard to please me, i can deal with alot as me being young. This motel was pretty dirt and the water smelt like septic. it was gross!!!! ummm the beds were alright but i brought y own blankets and pillows because they didnt look all that clean. now they may have been but not for my liking. it seemed as if it were a motel for drug addicts (has been rated by the police), prostitution, and just creepy old people. wierd. now im not the best person in the world. i have had my share of fun, but this was just not really the place to stay. i mean if its emergency maybe. the staff there were pretty nice i mean they werent any different from most places you would go. parking was free. they had a tv and amini fridge(that wasn't clean) it kind of bugged me out cause its near poughkeepsie and they way the hotel rubbs of you dont know if people have and diseases . OHH AND THERE WAS A HUGE BLOOD STAIN ON THE MATRESS!!! EWWWWWW.. I dont know. its your choice if you go. Honestly like i said before a 1 night emergency.

I stayed at this motel for two nights with my fiance, and i would NEVER go back. The room appeared clean but closer inspection proved the exact opposite, as there was dirt under the beds, and garbage including caps from beer bottles. The rug was disgusting, And the blankets were burned with cigarettes and obviously had not been cleaned in a VERY long time, they smelled like mildew and mold. I've come to this motel multiple times, and everytime I paid different prices, twice for the same room. I asked for a non smoking room, and was told i would get one, but it was quite obvious to us that this was a smoking room as we found a cigarette butt in the bathroom and a couple under the bed. When we woke up in the morning we had been bitten by something which i presume to be fleas, as during one of my stays i noticed dogs were allowed. The heater took over an hour to work and during this time we were forced to sit in our winter coats. There were shady guests coming and leaving, and I wouldn't be surprised if Drugs were being sold here. I would never recommend this Motel to ANYONE, especially a couple with young children. I tried to speak to the manager with my problems, however I had trouble understanding as they spoke very little english.

We stayed at this motel for 4 nights, NOT ONCE did we get any maid service to our room. The room was very dirty. When we checked in, our room smelled of cigarette smoke, so we requested a another room, as I had reserved a non-smoking room. The second room smelled a tiny bit better, but There was no toilet paper, nor enough towels for the three of us, and after several requests, we finally got toilet paper, the next day! The towels were picked up during the day, but no fresh towels were brought over. We had to ask repeatedly for towels, and when they did bring them, there were never enough for the three of us. I don't believe that this motel owns a vacuum cleaner, as the carpet looked like it had NEVER been vacuumed. The night table was covered with sticky ring marks from drink cups, and the room smelled awful.
Like I mentioned, the room was never cleaned at all during our stay and the beds never made, and the service pretty much stunk. I would not recommend this motel to anyone! Stay away!!!

I found the room filthy dirty with beercaps lining the underside of the bed, the carpet so filthy I would not take my shoes off, black hair matted to the sink and bathroom floor. I tried to sleep on the top of the bed. I woke in 2 hours having been bitten on my arms, legs, face and neck by something. This was the worst motel experience I have had in 30 years. We were unable to talk to the person in the registration area because she spoke very little english and did not understand what we were saying.
