My mom turned 65 in April and we were looking for a special bush break away to visit for the occasion.
I had heard about Camp Ndlovu through a family we met at another game lodge, and wow it did not disappoint!

The camp really puts glam into the bush experience - sparkling wine as you arrive and some amazing 3 course meals.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and could talk with enthusiasm on all the plants and animals, and the staff so helpful and kind. No ask too big for them!
Then to top it all off they arranged a surprise very glamorous set up in the bush with drinks, cake and snacks for my mom’s birthday celebration. It looked like a wedding! Truely beautiful.

Thank you Camp Ndlovu and all the amazing staff, we will definitely be back.

An incredible few days spent at the luxurious Camp Ndlovu. The lodge is so exclusive, private and peaceful. The staff are all excellent and service was outstanding! Always smiling, and so friendly, proactively looking for ways to make your stay more comfortable. The main lodge area and some rooms overlook a waterhole where you can watch animals visit during the day. The food was five star and plentiful! Each meal was thoroughly enjoyed and the tastes and flavors were delicious. The rooms were so private with a plunge pool and a relaxing outside lounge area. The game rangers and game drives were the highlight of the trip and action packed. We had so many incredible sightings in the beautiful Welgevonden Game Reserve from lions to python, to cheetah, elephants and many many more! Overall one of the best luxury lodges we have ever stayed at in the bush and we will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

Absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Friendly and attentive. Very relaxing with brilliant game drives where we saw the big inside of 2 days. The accommodation has everything you need and is at a high standard. Loved the private patio with fireplace, pool and the option of an outdoor shower and bath.
This is a top drawer venue where they fall over themselves to answer questions and help.
Food is really great and diverse and variety to cover all tastes.
Our guide, April was really knowledgeable and just had a fantastic demeanor about him, maybe it is because he was born and raised in the area.
Highly highly recommended

What an amazing way to start the new year. Camp Ndlovu is everything it promises to be and then some. We were greeted by the manager standing in for Sanet, Moses, who was professional and friendly at all times. He went out of his way to make us feel as though the Camp belonged to us and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was a pleasure to be greeted by his smiling face every morning, and his energy and laughter were infectious.
The rooms were beautiful, and ours, room number 5, had a gorgeous view of the river and trees. It was such an experience to swim and watch the wildlife come to the river to drink while never having to leave the privacy of our room. But most impressive was the cleanliness of the rooms. They were impeccably clean. Thank you to the ladies who cleaned them every day for us.
Our meals were all delicious and beautifully prepared by Chef Lawrence. The best of all were the breakfasts, and next time we visit, we will definitely take him up on his offer of breakfast served on a game drive. The dinner served in the boma will always be remembered for the delicious smokey lamb.
Clifford and Jack made sure we were served our meals and drinks with a smile and Clifford will be remembered for his delightful sense of humour and agreeable manner. Thank you Clifford for making sure we got back to our room safely every night.
And lastly a huge thank you to our guide, April. He has a vast knowledge of every bird, plant, insect and animal in the game reserve. April is able to answer any question when asked and each question is answered in the same calm and measured way. He has an enormous love for the animals and nature in the area. I already miss his Bush coffee that he prepared for us on the morning game drives.
We had an incredible holiday, made so special by the extraordinary people who work at Camp Ndlovu. Thank you all of you, we left already making plans for a return visit

If their are angels in our world, then we certainly met one - STEVEN our guide! Camp Ndlovu is beautiful, inspiring and right in the middle of raw nature at the edge of a stream. We spent 3 nights at Camp Ndlovu which was just the right amount of time. The lodge is small (5 lodges) and so guests are treated like family with all the staff attending to you all the time whether with food, drinks, or just a chat. Our server Clifford could not do enough for us whether we ate inside or on the terrace and always offered inspiring thoughts on his life. The 2 chefs are amazing and always came to see us during and after our meal to make sure everything was good. Now back to Steven our guide: Steven took us on game drives early morning and late afternoon. He spared no effort to find the Big 5. He has eyes like an eagle and will spot animals that most of us would not see. He is an inspiring, humble, smart, kind family man! If you can you should request (demand!) that Steven be your guide. What made Camp Ndlovu so special was that it was family owned and run so make sure nothing has changed if you book a stay here. Ohhh, and ask for Steven to be your Guide!!

Wow! We are blown away by the Waterberg region and our guide Steven is phenomenal. He takes his time and he is so proactive with his work. I’ve been on many game drives but today’s one will be one for the history books. It felt way better than watching Nat Geo. We love the food here and Chef Nicolas’s work speaks for itself and we are well taken care off by Zach. The only downside is that I truly fell in love with Room 1 and being the only guests at the lodge we would have thought we’d get the best room for our honeymoon. Nonetheless my husband and I are very happy thanks to Steven our guide! Thank you.

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights.
Everything about this experience was perfect, I have done multiple safaris in South Africa, Tanzania and India. This was by far the best I have ever experienced.
This was my friends first experience and she was simply blown away. From the moment we arrived and saw a heard of elephants on the terrace to the moment we left it was absolutely perfect!
Sanet and everybody else who works at Camp Nudlovu from myself and Steph thank you for 4 perfect days!

This was truly a beautiful experience, from start to finish. I would so highly recommend coming here and when we come back to Welgevonden, we will definitely come back here.
The lodge is beautifully kept, designed, adorned, you really feel very good here. There is a water hole just in front of the eating area so you can see animals there while you eat! The team, starting from the Manager, the cooks, the staff, and the rangers are such warm, inviting and big hearted people, everything about our stay here was perfect. There was not one thing that could have been better. The level of care is just what you want. Cleanliness and service was superb. Food is delicious, the cooks are amazing and April our guide was so experienced and in tune with the reserve and the animals, he is a wealth of knowledge and he intuitively moves through the reserve, it was amazing. Saw the big 5, and more. We really could not have had a better time. Thanks team Ndlovu! see you next time!

Camp Ndlovu situated approximately one and half hours ride from the Main Gate in Welgevonden Game Reserve. We had an excellent experience, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. First impression, Friendliness, cleanliness and thoroughly professional. The General Manager Sanet is the star of the show, keeps everything running on oiled wheels. The staff were wonderful, the food was fantastic. we had a very good ranger, April, who was extremely knowledgeable about the fauna and flora! Game drives were absolutely sublime. Definitely will have a return visit!
