First floor room smelled extremely musty/moldy to the point we would never stay there again. Couldn’t air it out. Our coats still smell like the place. Maybe second floor rooms were better, not sure. Bathroom had no counter space. Expensive for what it was. On the plus side, great water pressure; park right outside your door( even for second floor rooms since they are on a hillside); great tempurpedic type mattress; good A/C; close to Watkins Glenn NP.
CLEAN, Comfortable, Convenient and close to local attractions we were interested in seeing. Two waterfalls within walking distance, on the same street motel is located on. Aunt Sarah's falls (about a mile away) and Montour falls (less than half mile). Watkins Glen State Park just a few miles / minutes north. Friendly and very helpful owners. Our room (#35) had a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and hair drier. There are (packaged) continental breakfast items, fruit, tea & coffee available in the motel office in the morning. Also, booking directly with the motel could save you money.
This is a nice, no-frills motel close to Watkins Glen. The room was very clean and the man at the desk (I assume he was the owner or manager) was very friendly. Coffee and a small selection of packaged breakfast items as well as some fruit were available in the morning.
We spent 3 days in this area exploring the nearby gorges and waterfalls. This motel perfectly fit the bill for us. Mike efficiently checked us in and offered suggestions about how to navigate the area. Our room was in the front, enabling us to sit outside after a long day of hiking. Great water pressure in shower. I spent like a baby; comfy bedding. To say that our room was clean is an understatement- it was SPOTLESS! There was a small fridge, microwave that we could take advantage of too. Basic continental breakfast was offered. This is not the Hilton but we were 110% satisfied with our stay. If you are in the area, come check it out! Bonus: there is an actual waterfall right down the street, less than a quarter of a mile from the motel.
The Falls was our first night stay at the beginning of a long road trip. Upon arrival I thought the place looked a little sketchy, very plain, aesthetically dull. The owner (I’m assuming) at the desk was very personable and welcoming. He even escorted us to our room, which was situated in the back at the top level, when we had trouble with our key. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. For one night, or longer if you just need a place to sleep, it was just great!
