This the worst place I have ever seen in my life, we drove in from New York City for a funeral, the room smells like mildew and smoke even though they say no smoking, the pictures the have of the place don't belong to this place I don't where they get those pics from, the place is like a flee bag motel, stinks and dirty we check in and check right back out couldn't say in such a nasty place, the stair case are falling apart, they need to close it down and start over are someone need to buy it out and renovates it and start over from scratch, overall a hugh garbage dump.
Not bad for the price, we only paid $70+ tax and it was OK, I checked everywhere with a flashlight for bedbugs because I read the horror stories here about the bed bugs, but I only found one dead dried up one next to the box spring. The hotel needs a lot of work, but the room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, No phone, clock, breakfast,or blanket. Only 3 pillows a sheet and the old bed cover with cigarette burns in it . We got there at 1am right after the Woodstock 50th Anniversary concert and the young man with the ICP shirt checked us in real quick. We had a great breakfast across the street at the Monicello diner, Neighborhood is nice.
Booked through Hotwire.com, July 14, 2019, for a room that night. I was tired and wanted a few hours sleep before driving 115 miles.. it was 20 miles from where i started (Narrowsburg, NY, total travel miles, 135). Checked in around 9pm, Checked out 9:38pm, not even a hour. The room smelled, but i did not say anything. I noticed small stains on the blanket and asked for it to be changed. While the blanket was being removed, I saw a "HUGE BLOOD STAIN" on the other side of the white blanket. I then asked for the entire bedding be changed. While i waited for other bedding to be brought, there was a cloth chair that was old, dirty and stained. I had no clean place to sit. I saw the mattress was very warned and only covered with a thin ill fitted sheet. No mattress cover!! With disgust i kept thinking if i had not noticed the stains on top of the blanket and requested a changed, i would have not knowingly slept with that BLOODY BLANKET with only a flat sheet separating me from the BLOOD. I was so FREEKED OUT with total DISGUST, it gave me the Creeps.. I told them to sign me out, I am leaving!!..Tired, it took me 4 hours to get home. The words "RENOVATING" "UPDATING" "IMPROVING" Has nothing to do with the LACK OF SANITARY PRACTICES of this establishment. I feel that this was a deliberate act of making a bed with a HUGE BLOOD STAIN you cannot miss on a white blanket in hopes No-one will notice...I called the "Board of Health"!! Reading the reviews, This is NOT an isolated incident at the "INN AT Monticello" and should be removed from all TRAVEL Web-sites...Hotwire.com did return all my money. There is far more that i can include, These were the worst..!!…
We booked this room under the pretences that it was 15 miles away from our hiking destination at Minnewaska State Park. It was advertised as so on booking.com After a long sweaty tirering day of hiking in the mountains we decided it was time to shower up change and go out to eat dinner. Upon putting the address in the GPS we discovered the Inn was in fact 50 minutes away from our destination. We tried numerous times to call and cancel based on the proximity issue and nobody answered the phone. We wound up booking another hotel room for the night last minute and calling again in the morning. Upon calling we were told by the manager that we were going to be charged the entire $88.00 for a " cancelation fee" and that numerous people called to book a room and that it is policy. I understand that fully but based on the fact that it was falsely advertised we should not be charged. She explained to us again that it is company policy and there is nothing she could do. I feel this is not a good way to run a business. I would not recommend this place or at least check in advance to make sure it is in fact close to your destination. …
I wish I could rate 0 stars. This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. There were HUGE GLOBS OF DRIED BLOOD on the pillows, mystery stains on the sheets and there was a HUGE HOLE in the floor that was covered up by carpet. I almost twisted my ankle on it, god knows how many times. Law suit waiting to happen if you ask me. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything. There were lots of homeless people around and just didn't feel very safe. I WISH i could get a refund back...it was supposed to be a decent holiday weekend and i spent it being disgusted. Not to mention their website said they have complimentary breakfast but NOPE. Please do yourself a favor and don't stay here. Pay the extra to stay somewhere else.
