Nestled in a picturesque beach setting with lush greenery and clear waters, Preskil Island Resort is celebrated for its spacious rooms and comprehensive amenities, including water sports and a luxurious spa. Guests have called out the vibrant yet tranquil atmosphere and the exceptional service provided by the hospitable staff. While many applaud the cleanliness and room upkeep, some have pointed out the occasional cleanliness issue and maintenance concern. Despite the resort's numerous charms, a common thread among travelers is the perception of it being overpriced, with some disappointment in food quality and unexpected charges.

Huge thanks to the Team at Preskil for making what was a holiday of a lifetime for us so special. We really couldn't have asked for more. The location is stunning with its own private beach and coral reefs a short swim from the shore in Crystal clear turquoise water. This part of the island feels quite unspoilt and natural despite the proximity to the airport (15 min transfer max), it's a great base to explore the natural wonders of the south of the island and we'd thoroughly recommend a 3 or 5 island boat tour, Blue Bay Marine park and Vallee des colours nature park (although be mindful that activities in the park are expensive).
The natural wonders of mauritius are mirrored in the resort which is low rise and has wonderful incredibly well maintained gardens full of wildlife such as geckos, tropical birds and fruit bats.
Rooms are well appointed, showers with plenty of pressure, a mini bar stocked each day with soft drink and beer, all free for all inclusive. Rooms cleaned promptly each day and fresh water supplied daily.
There is an amazing team at Preskil from those beavering away behind the scenes to the friendly bar and restaurant staff. They are attentive without being overbearing. Special thanks to Vidousha and Mandhub whose care and attention raises the bar.
The dining options are great with a weekly rotation of themed nights in the buffet offering plenty of choice. Freshly made pizzas are always available, and occasional special treats such a comprehensive cheese and charcuterie selection one night. All inclusive guests can also dine in Mosaic restaurant if booked and that always felt that little bit more special. While all inclusive items here are a little limited you can upgrade. Finally there is the beachfront restaurant 1810 at additional cost. We enjoyed a gorgeous dinner with attentive service where you can eat local seafood specialities. Breakfasts are fantastic, lunch fine and even options for afternoon snacks.
The pool areas are great, and the main pool extends down to the beach. It felt safe and clean for the kids and they spent so much time here occasionally pausing for a soft drink from the lovely guys in the Kabana beach bar.
All inclusive also have free access to Kayaks, pedalos, paddle boards, snorkeling trips to the lagoon and a glass bottom boat. Preskil also has a gorgeous catamaran for days trips which were very popular.
The hotel is also home to a beautiful little spa called Banyan which is a calming, welcoming space for a relaxing massage or treatment. We enjoyed the Hamman and couples massage.
I really could go on, but suffice to say if ever we have the opportunity to visit Mauritius 🇲🇺 again, we will definitely return to Preskil.
Thank you and well done

I recently experienced a fantastic time Preskil Island Resort in Mauritius by opting for a complete day package that entailed both room access and service for the day. I was quite taken aback by the overall experience.

To start with, check-in was without a doubt efficient. The staff was quite approachable and ensured that I had my basics to stay. The place was kept well and provided itself to a soothing and relaxing experience, with modern yet cozy decor and the services offered were of top quality. The room boasted an incredibly comfortable bed.

Service during the day was impeccable. Staff was present but not overpowering- I had everything I required and never felt rushed.
Furthermore, the package made provision for some of the hotel's very nice amenities, which I consumed completely. The pool area was pristine and tranquil, just right for unwinding while the resident eatery provided an amazing food experience, given that the menu was all-embracing and quality was fantastic.

In summary, I've had a great experience and very much recommend this hotel to any person looking for a tranquillizing yet well-served day package. It's so obvious they want customer satisfaction, and I'm already looking forward to more visits.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Preskil. This hotel is set in the most beautiful location, with warm, shallow waters that are always flat calm thanks to the reef surrounding the bay. It is also only 15 minutes from the airport.

We had a family room, which had a separate room for our daughter - a great bonus which usually you’d have to pay a significant premium for. It was my daughter’s birthday whilst we were there and when the cleaners noticed her decorations/cards, they added some extra decor to her room, which was a lovely touch.

The staff are all friendly and helpful, however service at the bars/restaurants can be a bit hit and miss - on some occasions it took a very long time to be served (although the view helped to pass the time).

We were hoping for Mauritian food, but the restaurants and buffet served mostly European food. Meals and cocktails at the Mosaic and 1820 restaurants were great, but the buffet was disappointing (so much so that we avoided it after the first night).

Would highly recommend going on a speed boat trip, with the guys who can be found next to the watersport hut on the beach.

A magnificent view, a lagoon with incredible colors, but really the welcome at this resort is overzealous... it's a shame. We take the initiative to leave early for the airport, we warn that the beach towels are in the room at the time of check out we are told it's OK and then we stop at the exit barrier "come back to the reception to return the famous towels". Except that we had a plane to catch, I didn't want to hear anything, I had to run and collect the towels from the room to bring them back to reception. More than an hour since we checked out, they would have been able to check, send someone, no no they wait until the last moment. In short, thank you for the trust and for making us late. The buffet is just terrible; canned fruit, rubber waffles, canned salads, bagged raw vegetables. We had taken all inclusive which is just a big joke since there is in fact a premium all inclusive. So with our simple all inclusive no right to the beach restaurant which is the only one with a magnificent view of the lagoon and real tables outside. We were entitled to 1/3 of the drinks menu which we agree with, but not all inclusive. No service on the beach so as the beach bar does not want to serve before 2 p.m. we have to go back and forth to the only bar to which we are allowed at the other end. The big strong point, however, is the very friendly and dynamic water activities team. Tiny family room with false sea view and room cleaning at 3 p.m.... so you left the room vacant since 7:30 a.m. The pool is no longer accessible from 6 p.m. ... and in the morning we wanted to go there around 8:30 a.m. not right either, it must be cleaned like the day before at 6 p.m. / Pool is also very small given the enormous number of rooms. In short, they have a good spot and they capitalize on it that's all!

I had been to Preskil to celebrate my son’s 3rd birthday. We were 12 adults and 2 kids.
Overall, the experience was okay and I would rate this day 6 on 10.

We loved the Kids Club Team who added a special touch to this day with Tikoulou.
However we were not happy with the food.

To elaborate, we had taken the day package - Rs 3,000 (which includes lunch, tea time and all inclusive drinks + access to mini club and the swimming pool) water sports not included. We were offered the luggage room to store our bags and changing room.

We were warmly greeted by the staffs and were offered welcome drinks and snacks.

The lunch buffet lacks authenticity and variety. It is very limited in terms of choice and offerings. It was not appealing. I took the reviews of my guests and the same comments were shared, food was not great.

Same for tea time, the same chocolate cake served for dessert- lunch was on the buffet again + 2 mauritian traditional cakes and pancakes and that’s it. I asked for bread & butter, the lady making the pancake said no we don’t have it. My son who’s a toddler hardly eats and wanted bread and butter and it’s sad that staffs are not trained to go beyond their limit and meet guests expectations.(it was a basic request).

Besides, all was perfect.

Thank you

The most amazing Holiday at Preskil Island Resort.

We booked at Preskil Island to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, and it was a week of absolute splendor at Preskil.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome, refreshments and towels, we given our all inclusive package guidelines, and a tutorial of where everything is and what we can do on the island.

We also received a free room upgrade with a partial sea view which was absolutely incredible. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious, modern decor and Flat screen TV with a mini bar , there are ample space to keep your luggage bags and unpack your clothes into the walk-in closets. Slippers and gowns are given with additional blankets and Duvets available in the room. They have a house keeping service twice a day and they ensured all our requirements were met. Our House Keeper was Sounita, such a humble lady she ensured we had clean bath and beach towels at every service. The Mini bar was stocked with our preferred drinks. She was very knowledgeable about the place and gave us some tourist tips as well.

The resort has a weekly theme, and they ensure the theme carries out throughout the day via activities and food, every night had awesome entertainment and food and we had an absolute blast at the parties.

The Food - Rendezvous has a large variety that caters for different pallets, Indian, European, Western & African, if you have kids there's a live pizza and pasta station during the lunch and dinner service. Mosaic restaurant had really good food that you can order from the menu.

The Bar service was excellent we were served delicious cocktails throughout the day and even got to try some specialty drinks that they make.

The staff throughout the resort are incredible, it's hard to point out individuals as every staff member that we encountered are friendly and helpful and always make sure you are taken care of.

Taxi's & Catamaran tours can be booked from the concierge and the tour leaves directly from the hotel. The water sports facilities are good too, although they did get our snorkelling days incorrect so we kind of missed out on that but had fun with other activities.

Preskil Island Resort Thank you for the most amazing Holiday.

We had a magical two weeks at the beautiful Preskil Island Resort with its lovely staff, comfortable rooms and great restaurants (we loved the 1810).
We’d like to give a shout out to Shoaib for his impeccable service in the restaurants and also his wonderful excursion suggestions; Sujata of the Kabana for her kindness and delicious fresh fruit juices and Rajishree who kept our room looking perfect.
Down on the beach, there was a stunning view across the lagoon to the massive white breakers at the edge of the reef. It’s worth having a ride on the hotel’s glass bottom boat and snorkelling along the reef a bit further from the beach.
The lovely Sunshine has a stall of beachwear and handmade jewellery just near the Kabana and will make bracelets to order.
Also on the beach, Manu of Ocean Road Ltd offers great boat trips at competitive prices.
The resort was a great base from which to explore the island. The roads are good (just watch out for stray dogs) and there are so many stunning places to explore.
We would definitely recommend Preskil Island Resort and would love to visit again in the future.

We paid a lot for this holiday and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The staff clearly have been told who to treat like royalty as we didn’t get the same treatment as others who seemed to get a detailed introduction to the hotel. The beach is clearly man made because you can see the membrane under the sand coming out and also some places need more sand. The free boat trips, glass bottom and snorkelling were good value albeit short but I didn’t expect much for free. The buffet restaurant was awful. I ended up eating bread for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of the people we met had upset stomach and sickness, we had upset tummies so that tells you the cleanliness of the restaurant when people get poorly and the standard of the food. We hired a car but there was only the mall worth going to which had better food than the hotel. Mahebourg was disgusting, don’t bother going! It’s a shame that the locals don’t look after this island as it could be nice with rubbish floating in the sea. I wouldn’t come back here or Mauritius, it’s not paradise, the sea is blue in places, that’s about it. Real disappointment

If you want to enjoy the beach, the sea, the sun or even the swimming pool and be pampered, this is the ideal place.
The staff takes great care, as soon as you arrive you are welcomed, your room is ready, a small welcome gift is placed on your bed, a beach bag for Mrs. and a polo shirt for Mr. Everything is planned for your comfort. You are regularly asked if everything is going well, if you are missing anything or if you have a particular wish.
The rooms are very clean, spacious, well thought out and very comfortable.
Breakfast is buffet style where you can find savory, sweet or local cuisine. Very varied and of excellent quality.
There are three restaurants in the hotel and following the advice of Patrice the chef, we tried two of them, the "Rendez-vous" where a very good and varied Asian buffet was served and the "Mosaic" where We ate excellent cuisine a la carte. There is a very nice bar where you will find a wide variety of cocktails which during the day can be served to you on the beach.
Many water activities can be done there.
In short, we spent 5 wonderful days there at the end of our trip to Mauritius.

We stayed at Preskil Island Resort in June for 2 weeks, it was kind of out of season as it’s their winter time, so the hotel wasn’t full, the weather was hit and miss, we had great sunshine and some rainy days, but we had the best time! We came from England and have to say I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews, but I shouldn’t have. The hotel is in perfect location and offer everything you need to relax. From the moment we arrived we were treated so special, we got an upgrade on our room and we had the most amazing view. Linda, who checked us in went the extra mile for us! She is a credit to your hotel! Every day she checked on us, what we were up to, is there anything she could help with, she so attentive and made you feel welcomed and nothing was a trouble! We had our wedding anniversary while we were there and we booked a few things with Linda’s help. The whole day was made so special, started with the breakfast on the boat, couples massage in the afternoon and the perfect dinner at the gazebo, we even got a cake! Our room was decorated too, it was an amazing day and we are going to remember it forever! Thank you so much! The room was spacious and cleaned every day, the buffet restaurant had always something to offer, my husband is a picky eater, but find something every night he liked. We were all inclusive and dinner in the Mosaic restaurant, which was al a carte was included. On the menu they clearly write what’s included on half board or on all inclusive and what needs to pay extra for. The food there, was very tasty and nicely presented. There’s a Seafood Restaurant too, but as my husband has shellfish allergy we never tried that, but it looked very nice, it’s located near the beach. The bar was great too, the cocktails, the presentation and the staff. They already knew our favourites after a couple of days and they always smiled, they even brought the drinks out for us to the beach! The entertainment in the evenings were great too and mustn’t forget Sunshine, who had a little market station on the beach selling crafts and clothes. Her smile and greeting everyone, everyday knowing them by name! Never pushy! If you go to the hotel please visit her, she is amazing! There are so many activities included in your stay. ( not sure on other board, but def in all inclusive) like the pedalos, kayak, paddle board, the glass bottom boat trips. The hotel also offer a catamaran trip to the deer island, book that if you can, it was an amazing day! We seen dolphins on the way, monkeys on trees, snorkelled in a perfect spot, and we had BBQ lunch on the boat. The staff was amazing there too! It was our first time to Mauritius, but we fallen in love with the place and can’t wait to go back! This hotel has everything what we needed, it’s so close (15mins) to the airport, has the perfect snorkelling spots, the best staff and a very relaxed atmosphere! Thank you so much Preskil, I’m sure we will be returning hopefully soon!
