We stayed as a family of 4 in one of the two self-catering group cottages which has a living room, kitchen, bath and 4 sleeping rooms. The cottage has no electricity. Paraffine lights are provided. The location is gorgeous, only a few steps from the waterhole. Also the restaurant next door serves very good food.

Hlane is a nice place to stay - the rooms are spacious and rustic, but very comfortable. There was a fridge in our Rondavel and a stove, however we didn't realise before we went (a bit of a combination of our fault and the hotel's, to be fair) that there is no electricity whatsoever, unless you are staying at a different campsite, which is far away. You have to use paraffin lamps at night and unfortunately it did leave us without our phones for a few days, as we had no means of charging them. Could be a good thing! The animals are amazing and we had a great time otherwise.

So welcoming and genuinely african jungle that makes you want to come back quickly. The iconic elephants, lions and rhinos, among others, are part of the resident wildlife. The close, very close, encounter with rhinos on a foot safari, "led" by an excellent guide, causes a unique and unforgettable sensation. Thanks to all the staff for their hospitality, friendliness and professionalism.

Die sauberen Zimmer sind, wie beschrieben, ohne Strom, also sollte man eine Stirnlampe und ggf. eine Powerbank dabei haben (Wifi gg. Bezahlung im Bereich der Rezeption). Rustikaler ist es mit den bereitgestellten Petroleumlampen oder der Kerze. Die Lampen sollten draußen bleiben und nachts ausgemacht werden, sonst riecht es ziemlich stark.
Leider wird das Wasserloch gerade erneuert und somit ist der Hauptaussichtspunkt eine Baustelle.
Das Essen ist lecker (tolle Omelettes zum Frühstück!) und die Safaris echt zu empfehlen (wir haben Löwen, Nashörner, Giraffen und Elefanten aus nächster Nähe gesehen).
Sehr freundliches Personal, alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung.
Leider wird das Wasserloch gerade erneuert und somit ist der Hauptaussichtspunkt eine Baustelle.

Great location on the premises of Hlane National Park, which gives you direct access to the park. Rhinos come close to the fence in the morning, so you are likely to be taking your breakfast while looking at rhinos grazing in the grass.
We were staying in an individual house, which was a nice hut with ensuite with separate toilet and shower room.
There was a tee/coffee making set was provided.
The place was super silent and calm, and we did enjoy walking around the property in the evening. We also did take a guided tour inside the park the morning next day.
We did take dinner in the restaurant (which was rather nice). We didn't take breakfast though, so no comments there.
Important - it is possible to pay with the bank card.
Nothing was negative in particular, except that the parking could be a little bit more convenient (had to take a dirt road around the property to get to the parking lot).
There's only one WiFi spot at reception (which is not much of a disadvantage - you can digitally disconnect) - mind that.

The camp was awesome right outside the national park so excellent viewing of the big five . The watering holes were fantastic, great yourself there it's great 👍 The pippos wrer the best for me listening to them groaning whilst completing submerged
