I stayed here with a tour group. We stayed in the rondavels which were basic, however all were en-suite, with ceiling fans and very clean and comfortable. The views were fantastic and very quiet. The rondavels were in the field above the main building so it was a two minute walk to the lounge, kitchen, pool and games/bar area. A security fence around the grounds made it safe and secure, however you can walk out during the day if you wish. A short walk takes you to the main reception and camp were there is a restaurant, bar, live entertainment and small shop. You can also take one of the walks into the park from there. A minibus is provided at night. There is a kitchen if you wanted to cook your own food or write your name to have dinner cooked for you by the wonderful staff. Most of the food is cooked on an open fire/Brai and you can sit around the fire enjoying the scenery and chat. A wonderful experience, all the staff are fantastic and the food is really good and plentiful. A magical stay which will stay with me for a long time. Thank you.

We spent a lovely two nights and three days at Sondzela Backpackers in Mlilwane Park. The Rondavel with high thatched ceiling and ceiling fan was spacious and comfortable, but it was the park itself that really enchanted us with wild game roaming freely over the grounds and the hiking trails, impalas, wildebeest, zebras and the ever present warthogs. Only minus was the insistence on payment in cash immediately for beverages and meals, yet they never had change available nearby.

We stayed there 2 nights. People were helpful and super nice. Gertrude, Lou, « Kami » and all other collègues, thank you. The stay was great because of you and your kindness. Also, dorms are confortables, clean and bed good! There is a swimming pool and a kitchen where you can either cook or try an amazing meal cooked by the ladies. We had dinner once, it was delicious (really!!!) and typical. And, the park! Nice walks! Where Zebras, Kudu, antilopes are next to you!!! We can also see I think Croco and Hippo! We made the walk to the “Summit”, with is a 18km return +/- to the backpacker. It is nice, nice view. Just be aware that there are a lot of tiques. You can see them on the big grass. So maybe long leaves and pants are recommended or a good inspection. (We saw 2 on us before they got time to attach themselves).

We were part of a group of 19 who spent the night in the Rondawels and wish we had another few nights here. Sondzela was lovely especially driving through the wildlife park first - quite magical. The night staff were delightful and then the day staff just carried on with their delightful and friendly demeanour. We all recommend this place if you are fortunate to visit Swaaziland.

Our first time staying in a rondavel - with high ceiling fan and ensuite. Breakfast was cereal and toast, with bacon and scrambled eggs cooked by staff on open fire. There are lots of activities to do within the national park but we chose to do our own leisurely walking tour and spotted lots of widlife - herds of zebras, springboks, impalas, hippos, crocs and turtles and different bird species. There's plenty to do without having to leave the area. Highly recommended.
