The place is very beautiful and the rooms are fine but I don't wish to come back ever again I would not recommend it to anyone even my worst enemy. I would rather sleep in a shack than to be treated unfairly by Cremorne's staff and management. The Food was very horrible. The manager who was an old woman kept on shouting at visitors. The staff would make noise with a hoover in the dinning area while you are trying to enjoy your unpleasant food. They take a decade to prepare food .The wi-fi that does not work. The Tv is another story. most of the things on the menu are not available. Disrespectful cats every where. OVER PRICED FOOD. Cremorne is very beautiful I would advice people to self cater.

The owner of the place was rude and not welcoming. Even though the place is beautiful and the staff pleasant she kind of put a damper on my stay there. The menu could be changed because it consists of mainly things that when ordered are not available.

I booked cremorne, through Safari for a weekend stay which was confirmed two weeks ago. When I arrive at Cremorne I was told that I have no booking and that they do not deal with safari. The person contact from cremorne is very old, I was left stranded. I also paid 50percent deposit which needs to be returned. The staff at Cremorne were rude and not in the least helpful.I am really disappointed with Safari and Cremorne, of it was not for finding a small room available at Grunters we would have to drive back to Durban which is 6 hours away. Please people be weary of this, and do not just book through Safari.Although Joanne the manager did take my call and explained her internal staff issues, I cannot except that as my issue. The customer is always right. This is a real poor reflection on safari and this establishment.

The place is beautiful. Beautiful manicured lawn.the rooms were fine and basic.the only down was the food. The buffet is over priced as the food is horrible. Undercooked potatoes for salad. Burnt roast potatoes.over cooked stew that looked like cat food.if you go there just bring your own food.

Not a bad place for fishing. Price range not up to standard for what you are getting. Reception very unfriendly, and innatentive. Cabins with plastic showers and TV that is so hard to watch because of the flickering. Not to mention the restaurants food which is overpriced, as well as the drinks seeing as this is a massive extra cost on top of the spend per head per night. "Free wifi" which does not even work. Buffet breakfast very dissapointing. With no staff around to help fill up coffee or milk. Unfortunately we could not even arrange an activity as the staff is not informative at all about activities at the lodge. Possibly a good spot for the local fisherman, but sadly we will not be returning or recommending to friends.

Although the rooms are fairly basic the set up as a whole is spot on. Infrastructure wise it has everything you need and for getting to the dive sites it’s great fun. If your not diving or fishing there’s not a great deal to do. If you are...Bingo!

First impression you get when you arrive at the resort is of a very friendly guard at the gate. The receptionist however was not a very happy or friendly young lady. Not very talkative or informative at all. We eventually got to our campsite, unfortunately the grass of the stand was not mowed recently. Otherwise the stand is lovely and shaded. But the ablutions are a mile away, way behind a row of self catering units, near the exit of the resort. The layout of the resort is thus not very camp friendly in my opinion. The ablutions are very basic and reasonably clean. I observed a cleaner "fluttering" through the ablutions the morning I went for a shower. She walked in the door and started spraying some kind of liquid detergent in all directions, not focusing on a specific area and cleaning it properly. I went into a shower cubicle and found lots of dust on the soap dish and cob webs in the corners which is evident to me that cleaning was perhaps not always very thorough. We did a quick tour of the main buildings of the resort which included the restaurant. This looked very nice and busy. The resort looked as if it was full to max, mainly with what looked like contractors. It was a very peaceful stay except for some noise during the night from a group staying at the resort.

The accommodation at Cremorne consists of chalets. These are spacious, clean and had comfortable beds set in beautiful grounds with an amazing view. The area is in a valley surrounded by cliffs and next to a river. In the winter the chalets are heated with a single heater which wasn't quite adequate enough to completely heat the room thoroughly. Our chalet was slightly damp and things did not dry very well in this environment. We were diving on the Sardine Run and our diving gear never fully dried out at times. However, the rest of our experience more than compensated for this problem. The dining/bar area was cosy and comfortable with roaring log fires in the evening. There was an extensive menu and all the dishes we ordered were excellent and the value for money was superb, both in the restaurant and the bar. The staff were very friendly, and attentive. However the kitchen became overwhelmed at times and this made the service slightly chaotic when things got busy. Overall, our experience at Cremorne was very enjoyable. The accommodation is set in the most beautiful valley and I would definitely recommend staying there. A highlight of our stay was a trip up to the top of one of the high cliffs with views overlooking the river, the resort and across to other mountain ranges. We spent a pleasant evening there watching the sun go down on this magnificent vista with a lovely chilled glass of South African wine. One of the most beautiful views I have ever encountered. Couple all of this with the amazing experience of seeing humpback whales every day we went diving, along with huge schools of dolphins then you get one of our best experiences ever.

A lovely camp site and very well maintained. Enjoyed the view of the surrounding mountains and the river to the mouth. The dive group that was out had little regard for other campers and even after reporting, management did not hold them accountable to their own 22h00 noise policy.
