After a long trip from Windhoe, only to find that the place where we had booked had made a mistake. We were referred to Bernice Bed B&B.
What a welcome relief.

We arrived late afternoon. Friendliest welcome I have received in a long time. Quickly assisted. Paid. Shown how everything works. This is an easy and affordable stopover in Keetmanshoop. Rooms were clean. Basic facilities. Beds well made. Had a breakfast. Good old fashioned farm breakfast. We will be back.

I know I may not report someone else's experience, but this one just HAVE to be done!

We booked a room for my sister from South Africa. As usual the bus was awfully late, but that did not matter to Christi who picked my sister up in the middle of the night. The room was nice and warm and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the friendly staff did everything to make her feel at home. The only problem is that Bernice is a bit far from town...

We stayed here for 1 night with our 3 boys, ages 12, 9 and 9. The location is quiet and fairly close to town. It is really easy to find with all the excellent signage from the main road. Our room was large, bright and immaculate with a great bathroom. We self-catered, so I can't comment on breakfast. Stef and Christi are wonderful hosts. My only small complaint is that we paid $800 Namibian, which I thought was a bit expensive for room only.

Even the coffee cups at breakfast were pre-warmed, something that even the so-called 4-star hotels have forgotten how to do. Rooms looking a bit dated, but clean and safely located. Parking behind gate - walking distance to show-grounds. Owners super friendly as well.

If your GPS doesn't pick up the street address, don't worry. There are many signs along the road into Keetmanshoop off the B1, and the large painted wall in front can't be missed. Christi was very helpful as well when we phoned to let her know our arrival time. The area is quite and we found people very friendly when we went for a walk. The yard behind the gates is large with ample parking, outdoor patio area, yard with nice plantings (good looking grapefruits and limes coming on). We enjoyed talking with Christi about what to expect with the storm clouds that were brewing, where to eat, plus having time to pet the resident Russel terrier that is so well trained you never hear a peep out of her.
We had the family room which is 2 rooms with a really large bathroom area. The main room has high ceilings, 4 beds around the perimeter with plastic table and chairs in the center of the room, along with a fridge, coffee/tea area, TV and cooling/heating unit that was whisper quite. There is a second room between the main and the bathroom with one bed. Put someone in that room that doesn't mind traffic to the bathroom passing them by. Bath room was large, the shower area is huge but beware, the floor has different little heights. We had no problems with the different little ledges in the bathroom floor and I am the major toe stubber of all. The TV is in the main room mounted very high above the doorway to the bathroom and the florescent light glares on the screen and it is difficult to watch with trifocals. With the TV so far up and away from people, hard to keep the sound down. The room was very quite after the neighborhood dogs had their barkfest at dusk and again when people were walking to work/school but it did not bother us since they stopped before we went to sleep and started after we were already up. We did not take breakfast but the dining area looked very nice and clean. The rooms, bathrooms, grounds were all very clean and well looked after. Highly recommend this well run B&B - you can't go wrong!

Very neat and peaceful place. The garden is beautiful and good to relax. The owner is helpful and really kind man. Enough parking space, secured area. Free Internet facility available. Own entrance access(remote) available for your convenience. I'll visit again, best place in Keetmanshoop

Ideal stop over for the tired traveller. Received a warm welcome from the owner. The rooms are comfortable and clean, must mention the INSTANT HOT water. Many thanks for a great one nighter. Did not do breakfast as I had an early start. What I could suggest would be a small breakie pack to take along. Will definitely come back.

Kind Regards
Steve Brown

Nice average overnight stay, good direction, clean and friendly. Breakfast is available, though we left early and did not make use of that. There are safe undercover carports, and the rooms are really nice.

We had a lovely night's rest at Bernice Beds. The rooms were clean and tidy, with nice facilities in the rooms. Christi gave us a wonderful warm welcome and was a pleasure. The breakfast was tasty with generous portions. Perfect for the night or a longer stay.
