Nice rooms. Very comfortable and clean. The host was nice and welcoming. The breakfast omelette was good . Though there was not much attention given to guests in the morning. We're struggling to find things in the restaurant and the kitchen staff / waiter had disappeared into thin air.

Booked couple of days in advance and made EFT on arrival and the amount differed as per email conversation I made the payment anyway. We stayed in Self catering unit and was very neat despite the hard and uncomfortable matrasses.

Stayed for 3 nights and on the 3rd morning there was no water, got told that a pipe burst in town. Would have been nice if the owners supplied us with bottled water. ITS THE SMALL THINGS THAT COUNT.Round about 12'o clock there was still no water and we decided to travel back to Cape Town without a shower.

Owner told us that she will refund us for 1 night, its been 3 weeks and still no refund.

Owners were very nice and friendly but its the small things that can make a difference.

When we arrived all was ok, no one takes you through to where you stay just told thats where you have to go. Wifi is such a norm now a days and if you know that there are certain issues try to sort it out before guests arrive and stop making excuses and pushing the bucket to service providers if you know about wifi strength on your property. Bathroom or shower to be exact is a big No No, very small can hardly move in there, water issues and when i tried to explain my inconvenience to the owner (lady) she kept on blaming the service providers and not vey friendly person at all. She lacks friendliness and hospitality, very un accommodating, i would not recommend this place to anyone. Also please if you advertise pictures of a pool area dont put up signs Private Pool area, when guests arrive take them through the property and show them their rooms what comes with it, if you have issues explain them in advance so people can expect the issues, and most of all be nice to you guest as they are the ones paying you money.

We stayed with our 2 young kids and 2 dogs. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Room was large with enough space for everyone, a kitchenette and a family bathroom.
Various braai spaces in the garden. Awesome roof top pool.
Perfectly suited to our needs and good value for money.

Found this place in a Namibian guide book and I'm so glad I did.The rooms are excellent and also include a breakfast as well which is filling. The owners couldn't do enough for me,especially the day I was checking out,had a late night bus and they gave me a spare room to put myself and my luggage in.The place is spotless and very secure and would definately advise anyone travellig in or through the area to stay here, thanks again,Simon

Due to a misbooking at another guesthouse, we were referred to la Rochelle as alternative overnight accommodation. We were however very disapointed in this arrangement. The property looks neglected and uninviting as you enter. The owner was very friendly. The room initially looked clean, but as the evening progressed, we noticed a couple of rather disturbing things like a very dirty electrical frying pan on top of the fridge, a very dirty dish cloth and used up sponge for dishes, no mirror or dressing table in room, bedside bulbs not working, light in bathroom very dim and dark, tv had only one channel, and the outside area was dirty with dog urine marks and dog feses all over the place, disgusting.
The morning we booked out, we had no water, and could not shower or bath, luckily we had water ourselves to wash up, brush teeth and flush the toilets. Very very disapointing.

Looking for an inexpensive stay-over because I wasn't feeling well enough to do my normal day's driving. I was ready to give up when I called La Rochelle and was offered an excellent discount. We didn't stay for breakfast, but did take a walk around the grounds. The small pool is on the hillside and has an amazing view, plenty of outdoor tables and places to grill/braai. I felt secure with my daughter yet we were close to town. The room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, very clean and pleasantly decorated. This will be my first choice if I go to Keetmanshoop again.

The room was clean, neat, and well-equiped - two single beds, air conditioning, fridge, kettle, microwave cutlery, etc. The rooms are however just a room, no great garden, or view, etc. Communal outdoor braai facilities are available.

The standard breakfast consists of yoghurt, muesli, rusks, coffee or tea. I did not make use of the 'full' breakfast option serveed at extra cost.

I found the outside lighting somewhat disturbing during night whilst sleeping. A darker curtain, or les outside lightning, would have helped.

"Ni 1 is large and well equipped for S/C with a pleasant outdoor table but when we stayed was also the dogs' barking area."
