I had a breakfast date with my wife at the Lodge, she chose outside seating to be in the sun as we have breakfast. The waiter/waitress really took long to come take our orders.

When they finally came, the order went smoothly and the food was OK.

Its a quiet place, family friendly with inside parking.

After driving from South Africa and exhausted by the endless deserts Keetmanshoop may not quite seem like the oasis at the end of the desert, however Central Lodge is a nice place to stay for one night and relax. Room was very clean, with good tv, aircon, and comfy bed. I especially liked the outside terrace with a fountain where you can enjoy a cold drink during the heat of the day or with a nice breeze in the evening. Dinner was good and service very friendly, breakfast was also good value. I would definitely stay again.

This place has such a nice feel with green neatly cut grass and palm trees...but sadly this is where it stopped. The rooms are stuffy and old. No plug for my charger, the curtain rail fell when I opened it and the TV has one working channel. You take a walk to the restaurant and you find kitchen staff chillen at the table by the entrance. I am Namibian and I can only shake my head in disbelief.

We went for lunch at Central Lodge. What a disappointment!
A dog was laying at the reception with dog food spilled on the carpet as you entered.

Menu's were dirty. Staff were standing around and talking so loud that we couldn't hear each other around the table.

Bathrooms were dirty.
Not recommend.

Unfortunately my family and I were booked into another hotel outside of town, but we did visit the Central Hotel for dinner and breakfast the next morning. We wished we stayed there rather!

Service was extremely friendly and efficient. Food was some of the best that we experienced and the place was clean, tidy and well looked after.

And after we saw their very reasonable rates, we were even more sorry that we didnt stay there! Next time we definately will!

We stopped for lunch.
The waiter very young, but kind but his outfit very dirty.
We set outside. All staff around us. Talking in front of us. Very unpleasant.
One we finished our meals we received our bill. Well - without asking for it.
He „thought“ we wanted to pay. Meanwhile his shift finished and all he wanted was a tipp.
However we came back after years and found a dirty and dilapidated place. The food a disgrace.
The toilets a disaster. Not able to close from inside.
I talked to the manager. But she is apparently only a supervisor. Very unfriendly. Once I asked her if she is the manger she asked me what my problem is...! What kind of attitude is this?
When I told her what my concerns are she told me she will take it up... I know what this means in Namibia.
Not worth to go back!

On arrival reception could not find our payment on there system which was made 2 weeks in advance. Took them awile to sort that out. Our room's door didn't lock so the fixed it temporarily, the toilet didn't have a lid and a big chip out of the neck of the seat. Our wastebasket didn't have a lid that worked. Our bathroom light didn't work. During the afternoon we had to go look for our waitress every time we wanted to order something. The staff stood around most of the time trying to avoid looking at you. The dinner we had was average. Nothing can be charged to your room. There is wifi but only in the garden and not in the rooms. Only upside was our friendly waiter Fritz which we had in the evening.

Central Lodge is indeed centrally situated in Keetmanshoop, close to major banks and shops. They have nice, spacious and well-kept family rooms. The Lodge features a big swimming pool to dip yourself in the hot sun! They serve a nice English breakfast. This was the best overnight accommodation we had on our trip to Windhoek.

Stayed one night on our way to Etosha. We had a family room for 4, crisp white sheets, modern bathroom, great supper and breakfast, all in one place. Quick drive to Quivertree wood, and secure off road parking for our cars and trailers. Will stay again.
