We booked the accommodation to make the road shorter from Walvisbay to South Africa. The owner went to extreme efforts to accommodate us, even freezing our frozen stuff in her own Freezer room. Very comfortable and modern room and facilities. Breakfast was done earlier on our request. I would recommend Kitchen51 very highly to anyone.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Luderitz. A little off the beaten track, but more than worth it, to drive the 15 minutes from Keetmamshoop. Incredibly restful, and the cottages are immaculately kept, with crisp white linens and fluffy towels. The air conditioning was heaven sent. We enjoyed two wonderful evenings on the stoop, the evening breeze cooling us down after the hot day. Gerda, the property manager, is a delight, and we really enjoyed our chats with her.
All staff deserve the highest compliments. A citrus orchard perfumes the air, and also creates a barrier to the B1 road that the property borders.
You can’t go wrong, adding Kitchen 51 to your itinerary. If our travels bring us this way again, we will definitely be staying here, again.

Wonderful Stay at Kitchen51 – Highly Recommended!

We had an amazing experience at Kitchen51 in Keetmanshoop, Namibia. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent—the owners and host, Petro, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

The dinner and breakfast were fantastic—delicious, well-prepared, and served with a smile. The chefs were friendly and accommodating, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.

The accommodation was very comfortable, providing a relaxing and restful stay. The only small improvement I’d suggest is the WiFi connection, but this did not take away from our overall experience.

Kitchen51 is a place I would definitely visit again and highly recommend to anyone passing through Keetmanshoop!

We were quite disappointed in the establishment. Nothing wrong with the accommodation, that is beautiful. However, the breakfast was disappointing. One (stale) panini bun, one slice of ham, one slice of processed cheese, a bit of butter and apricot jam, and one very small yogurt can hardly be called a "continental breakfast." Furthermore, their wood is insanely expensive. $40 for 8 small pieces!
All the other establishments we stayed in offered much more for much less.

We were here on the way to Fish River Canyon. The outside of the houses could use a coat of paint, but the inside is great.
The dinner was good, but the breakfast is bad. What was served the evening before was more than inadequate. 2 rolls for 2 people, 2 slices of cheap cheese and 2 slices of sausage, some jam. No juice, no fruit. You don't need that and it's better to buy it yourself first.

We stayed one night on our way from Keetmanshoop to Fish River Canyon. The Lodge is a perfect location. They offer different routes on the area to walk, hike or ride. The dinner was brought to our hut and was delicious.

About 40 km from town. A perfect farm stay. We arrived late afternoon without booking, and were welcomed with open arms. People specifically came in to make us dinner. We loved that.
