Beautifull, very relaxed spot. I would have loved to stay longer but saddly you pay US$ 150 for a room that you can hardly move around in. You have an "ensuite bathroom" which means an outdoor shower and toilet; a bed and 2 rusty chairs....More

Hello Petra, I am very sorry that you only saw the room, when in fact Ngepi is so very much more. I will however get onto the Service you mention and fix that immediately. Thank you for highlighting it :-)

This camp looks great - the owners and staff have definitely tried to make the site look amazing. You can sit on decks near the river and watch the beautiful scenery and you might see hippos and crocs as well. There is a 'pool' in...More

I was a little apprehensive on arriving as Ngepi has a very relaxed backpacker feel to it, but that didn't last long as the service and amenities were great. We stayed in a treehouse and I couldn't even begin to list the wildlife we saw...More

Hello Binty, Thanks for taking the time to write such a warm lovely story about your stay with us! As one French lady once tried to explain in her broken English..."you have all the amenities like shower and loo right there....but your feet are in...More

They have a t-shirt they sell that says 'Get a Life' - its perfect for this unique getaway. Houses in the trees - where the trees actually come through the centre of the little house, outdoor showers with no curtains (no need as they face...More

Hello Ktczim, Thanks very much for the wonderful review, but you must have taken the 4x4 route cos there is a 2x4 one that is perfectly manageable. May you have enough in 2018 :-) the Ngepi team

We voted this the best camp site on our three week safari. It has the balance between being civilized; hot showers, flushing loos, bar etc; and being in nature_ hippos, crocs and tiger fish on your doorstep, buffalo across the river. It also caters for...More

I second Ngepi. It is a very quirky and fun campsite, great for everyone - young and old. They offer lots of activities and have very big and social braai areas. I would also recommend the last two campsites before the... More
