The 170km bouncy dirt road was well worth it!! The end destination is amazing! The campsite is beautiful, situated under big trees (they have thorns so take shoes). The ablutions were clean and had sufficient hot water. the mark of a good holiday is when you are planning your ne

The road from Mporokoso is shocking - takes almost 5 hours to travel the 170km but IT IS WORTH IT. I would suggest a 4 night stay is the minimum given the time it takes to get here and leave again. We were met by Harry who showed us around the camp site and gave us the low down

Thanks so much for your review! Its this kind of feedback which is invaluable to clients wishing to visit so we always appreciate when our guests take the time to write for us. On the good side, there is currently a grader and roller working on the worst of the dirt road between Nsama to Nsumbu so although its still dirt road, the condition should be improving over the next few weeks, especially now as the rains are ending. I will always still recommend a good 4X4 vehicle as it does make the journey much more comfortable. Thanks again and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will visit our little piece of paradise again in the future. Kindest regards, Elise

We are planning a trip to the lake around new year's. Do you have any vacancies, we need two rooms, and if so, what are the room rates?
What are the rates?
Hi Jackson, Thanks for the enquiry. We pride ourselves as being a premier tourist lodge that showcases the beauty of Lake Tanganyika and Nsumbu National Park through our variety of activites. The rates depends on if you are a local or a internatonal traveller. We offer special rates to encourge local Zambians & SADC to encourage you to see more of your own country (proof of residency must be shown). The 2014 rates for a local Zambian traveller are currently as follows: Deluxe Beach Chalet: K1142pp/pn Standard Chalet: K773pp/pn Non Ensuite:K616pp/pn These rates include Breakfast, Light Lunch and a 3 course dinner, Laundry, Use of snorkel gear and Kayaks in front of lodge. For International travellers (2014): Deluxe Beachfront: $264pp/pn Standard Ensuite: $198pp/pn Non Ensuite: $143pp/pn These rates include Breakfast, Light Lunch and a 3 course dinner, Laundry, Use of snorkel gear and Kayaks in front of lodge. The lodge is situated on its own private beach and lake frontage. We offer many activities such as Fishing trips, PADI Scuba diving, Snorkel trips, Sunset Cruises, Game viewing Cruises, Walks in Nsumbu National Park, Water sports such as skiing, wakeboarding and tubing. As we are in a remote area its essential to pre-book to ensure we are ready for your arrival to make your stay the best it can be. We bok out well in advance over public holidays and peak periods so be sure to get in quick over those times. We also run specials over different times of the year so please pop us an email to see if anything is going at the moment. Thanks again and for any further questions or bookings please email us our our info email address that can be sourced off our website. Kindest Regards, Elise
