Kaps Villa &Lodge is the place to stay in Ndola. Not far from the city centre (Kabelenga and Mulobezi roads) it has secure parking and nu e compound. The self-contained rooms are very nice and clean. The place is quiet with nice patio in from of the rooms. The staff is extremely friendly and cooks excellent food in order. There is a free, working Wi-Fi and a continental breakfast is included (single 350K).

We stayed there as a group. Rooms are fine for a modestly priced hotel. Mosquito nets provided. Hot showers were not a problem, but our room did not have a shower head. Staff could not get one, so one of our team leads gave up the one in his room. Air conditioning worked satisfactorily but was either on or off, adjustment buttons remote did not work. Staff was fantastic. We ate breakfast and dinner there every night for a week. We did not go hungry, but not much variety. Limited, but affordable, bar choices. 10 Kwacha / about $1 for Mosi and they never ran out. It was too far to walk safety to town at night. There is also a resident turkey which wanders the grounds.

Recommend for low-cost accommodation in Ndola - US$35/night with breakfast and wifi. Wifi was largely perfect during my four-night stay - inverter worked regularly except patchy for one evening. Compound is run-down but large staff is friendly, well-trained and accommodating. Good Zambian cuisine in well-managed restaurant. Lovely, mature garden and neighborhood is well-situated, quiet, and secure. Recommend over nearby Katuba Lodge, which has slipped in quality and management.

Our Habitat for Humanity Global Village team stayed here for a week while building homes in Chipulukusu. All meals were provided and food was good. Bar supplies are a little light but as soon as the Mosi was gone the manager got some more! It is in a nice area of town and many of us took walks early in the morning with no problems. WiFi is iffy at best in Africa in general and this was the case. Good some days and lousy other days. Our shower was hot but needed a shower head! Only complaint. Wifi only in office and bar, not in the rooms.

Room Tip: It is a quiet compound. AC units put out very little air but temps were moderate so it was not...

Came back to Ndola again this week and was very much looking forward to stay once again at Kaps Villa. It is such a charming, pleasant place and the owner Mutale is such a great host. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Breakfast is decent and the guards do an excellent job on your car :-) Will definitely come back again to stay at Kaps Villa on my next trip to Ndola.
