We landed at Jeki airport and immediately felt like we were in true wild Africa.
We were greeted by our kind guide who took us on a game drive while making our way back to camp.
Management and staff were welcoming upon arrival and the view from the main deck overlooking the Zambezi River was breathtaking.

We made the most of the activities, game drives, boat cruises and fishing, allowing us to experience wildlife and bird life. The guides were careful and knowledgeable allowing us to get close to the game while always feeling safe.

The luxury tented rooms were large and well appointed, completely netted to keep the bugs out but let the sounds of Africa in. We enjoyed the outdoor shower that allows you to soak in the natural environment.
Finally, the food on the main deck was great with a mix of bush simplicity and hearty flavours. We also indulged in a few of the excellent classic cocktails on offer during our stay.

Anabezi is a once in a lifetime must do!

I have just returned from a wonderful visit to Anabezi. It is my 6th consecutive year if you discount the Covid years and I am delighted to report that it has lost none of its magic.
Although Anabezi is primarily a game/safari lodge my main interest is Tigerfish and the location inside The Lower Zambezi National Park is perfect for catching these incredible fish whilst getting a free safari as you drift down the river.
The lodge accommodation, facilities, guides and staff are second to none and even after so many visits I struggle to understand how they maintain such high standards in such a remote spot.
If you are thinking of a safari, bird watching or fishing look no further. You won't be disappointed.
Outstanding in every respect.
Pete

I have stayed in a number of lodges in East Africa and Southern Africa over the years and Anabezi ranks among the best overall experiences. The camp is nicely situated overlooking the Zambezi River with plenty of wildlife visible from the main building and guest tents. A nice feature is the elevated walkways to guest tents. Our tent was very comfortable with a good sitting area, double beds, large bathroom and an outside shower. There was a small pool on the large deck as well as loungers. Daily laundry service with clothes delivered later in the day. Food at Anabezi is excellent and guests have their own tables. Game drives were excellent and our guide Mwila found animals very easily. The area is not crowded so we were usually the only vehicle. We also enjoyed river cruises in the evening complete with snacks and drinks on the boat. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much and we were reluctant to leave. Great choice in Lower Zambezi.

This is the best safari lodge we have ever stayed at. On arrival we were greeted by Dennis the manager and Mpunga who checked us in and made us feel so welcome.
The tented room was wonderful , the bed was so comfortable with a view over the Zambezi from the private deck with a selection of animals parading by over the area between. The staff also made our stay special, they were so attentive and friendly and the food was really good.
Our guide John was incredibly knowledgeable and great company, the game drives were amazing, we saw leopard 5 times , the wild dogs with their pups, lion, countless elephant and hippo and lots of smaller stuff.
The other great thing about Anabezi is the Zambezi giving lots of other available activities; river cruises, canoeing which was amazing and fishing (2 tigerfish and 4 catfish between two of us!)
Sure safari is expensive but all food, drink and activities are included and there is no other cost other than tips.
We will return!

Anabezi, primarily because of its location, will allow you to tour from the moment you get off the plane to the well-planned route to the camp site via boat. This experience of the mighty Zambezi River is absolutely wonderful with a nice and breezy view of hippos and other forms of wildlife on the banks and islands of the river. The tents truly are luxurious and make you forget you ever left the comfort of your home. In addition, the safari experience is just unmatched with experienced guides who make the trip worth your while!

This was my second year in a row staying in Anabezi and I thought it could not get better than last year, but it did ...... Game viewing was astonishing and our many encounters with Leopards and Lions on just 3 game drives were a real treat. Not only are the game drives outstanding, the game viewing and bird watching whilst enjoying fishing on the Zambezi are incomparable. The spacious rooms are well equipped and most comfortable, and lounge area has been tastefully decorated . Lodge staff are exceptional and extremely attentive, boat drivers are outstanding and assist in every way possible to find and help you catch that illusive tiger fish, and guides are most knowledgeable on all aspects of the magnificent wild surroundings that that they drive you through. Pack your camera and make a booking now to experience the best the Lower Zambezi National Park has to offer, at Anabezi Camp

We loved our stay at Anabezi
The attention to detail both in the decor and in the hospitality was so touching .
Everything was stylish and comfortable .
The days were full of interesting game viewing , the tiger fishing and enough time also to enjoy the room which had a happy cocooning vibe under the very generous mosquito net.
The game viewing was exceptional - we saw it all !
The food was good home cooking which is what I want to eat in the bush .
The Bloody Mary was excellent .
The staff were amazing
Dennis and his team were so welcoming , gentle and discreet .
We loved our bush dinner , the sundowners on the river and the coffee stops in the early mornings out in the wild .
Miss it all
Hope to be back soon

The best camp I have ever stayed at!! The Africa Albida Forests, full of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard with cubs, Wild Dog huntings in packs, you name it. Then onto the wide open Zambezi, catching Tiger Fish whilst the animals come down to drink! An experience like no other! Africas eden... This is without saying the rooms are incredibly comfortable, the staff are super friendly and just the all round experience any visitor to Africa needs to have. Will be back as soon as possible.

We had a wonderful four night stay at this beautiful camp. The spacious accommodation is beautifully set on the river with a deck and plunge pool. We had both indoor and outdoor bathroom choice. The food was very good, the hosting was excellent. Despite the camp being full, we still received individual attention from Dennis, the Manager, checking in with us regularly. Every care is taken of guests. We had a wonderful surprise lunch waiting for us, set up by a lagoon so we could eat whilst elephants splashed around. This was very special. The range of activities is great with an opportunity to try fishing, canoe-ing, or just to take a relaxing cruise. Our guide, Nathan, was excellent. He clearly has a great passion for what he does and shares his knowlege with such enthusiasm. We had amazing sightings, many thanks to Nathan’s skill - multiple leopards, lions and a very large pack of dogs. Lower Zambezi has lots to offer and Anabezi is a fabulous place to enjoy it. Thank you for a very memorable stay

Our visit to Anabezi was phenomenal. The camp strikes the perfect balance of luxury and wild - with comfortable bedding, elevated walkways, outdoor shower, lovely main deck and bar area. Being located inside the National Park, you truly feel like you are on safari in the African bush as there are wild animals roaming around but you feel very safe and it's so special to have lunch or dinner with the elephants, buffalo, warthog, impala, etc calmly munching around you. All of the staff were wonderful, polite and helpful from management, service staff, bartender, chefs, fishing guide (we caught a tigerfish), housekeepers, etc. Our guide, John was so knowledgeable, fun spirited and punctual. We enjoyed all of our game drives, especially seeing leopards and the wild dogs. The Lower Zambezi is incredible with diverse landscapes and plentiful wildlife. This visit was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience I would recommend to anyone.
