A highly rated ecological farm. It is true that Johanna and Ernst had to say goodbye to the cattle a few years ago as a result of the drought, but the sheep and (riding) horses are fully present. We had been enthusiastic about what was offered via the website for a long time and therefore booked for three nights. And we have not regretted it. Beautiful, very spacious rooms, great hiking opportunities and a very relaxed atmosphere where you can also experience the farm if desired. What will definitely stay with us are the 4x4 tours with Ludo and David in the Naukluft mountains where you are lucky enough to spot Kudus, springbok, klipspringers, zebras and leopards. In the evenings are eaten and drunk together by the campfire (the wine stock was not to be missed). In short, why stay here just one night from Maltahöhe to Solitair? There is so much to do in a wonderfully beautiful environment in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

We had a fantastic stay in the campsite here for two nights at the end of our 3 week Namibia trip. The campsite is set about 2 km from the main farm so it's completely private and wild (on our 2nd day a herd of kudu passed through at sunset). You get your own bathroom which is really clean and well thought out, and the donkey boiler worked really well for hot water. Our family was able to do two small horse riding excursions which were great. (Really wonderful horses and a great guide who was very patient with our kids). We also did the quiver tree gorge walking trail, with David giving us an early morning lift to the starting point and fetching us afterwards with cold drinks! Absolutely fantastic. He is also very knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and pointed out a lot of animals that we wouldn't have spotted by ourselves. I think that 2 days is the absolute minimum here otherwise you will completely miss what the farm has to offer. I'm glad that we checked out the website before we went so that we were able to request all our activities in advance and squeeze them all in, although we wishes that we had stayed a day or two longer. Johanna (the owner) was really friendly and did a fantastic job helping us with our rides and hikes. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay , one night/day at Buellsport Lodge & Farm. The rooms are big and well equipped. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast are OK. The Owner organized self hiking paths along the property, so we did quite a big tour. There is a nice pool and the staff is pleasant.

The plan for us was always to use it as a base for hiking and we were not disappointed. There are several trails starting from the farm and the directions we were given were easy to follow and the trail markings are well maintained. The Naukluft mountains are of course stunning and our unforgettable 4x4 drive with David opened our eyes to the flora and fauna of this mesmerizing landscape. Coming back from our adventures on foot we were rewarded with delicious dinner and the cosy and friendly atmosphere of the lodge. Our chalet was tasteful, maintained to a really high standard (these must be the best showers in Namibia) and spacious. Lots to do and explore, but also a wonderful place for just relaxing.

This was a great campsite. Manager and staff were all really nice and welcoming. Got to relax by the pool which was a good size and cold enough to cool off in as it was 32 degrees when we got there. The campsite itself was great. We shared it with a German couple who were really friendly. The kitchen, bathrooms, and BBQ areas were all communal and really well looked after. The ranch offered a good number of activities. We did the Game Drive which was a good opportunity to see the Hartmaans Mountain Zebra, Springbok, Jackals and some cool birds. Overall it was a great place to stay; especially if you're looking to visit Naukluft Mountains.

This place was a pleasant surprise. The images on their website don't do it justice. We stayed in a luxury room located in a long outbuilding, simply appointed, but spacious, comfortable and stylish in a ranch/hacienda sort of way. The bed was very comfortable. Simple seating outside of the room is nice for lounging.

There are a lot of big old trees around and various plants and birds in the gardens in between buildings. They have horses and a few cute old dogs, Jack Russells and a Great Dane. I went for a 2 hours’ horse ride which I enjoyed very much. The landscape is beautiful, still arid, but with high rock hills and more vegetation.

We knew in advance that they offer communal dining and we were not looking forward to it, particularly after a long and tiring drive. Also the dinner only started at 8 which was a little late if you had a long day and were setting off early. However, there were extenuating circumstances: you serve yourself, so you can have smaller portions, the food was good and not too heavy, and you could choose where you sit. However, don't sit underneath the big tree in the evening as I did or you will end up with huge bugs falling on top of you. This place attracts a lot of German visitors who tend to club together and chat, which made it possible for us to stay at the margins.

We only stayed here one night, but I wish we stayed longer, as it was very restful and relaxing, and there are great walks in the vicinity.

Please accept our apologies for only responding now. On top of attending to our guests and our farm (cattle and horses) we were upgrading our rooms and services, adding some activities and creating a complete new website... The latter should contain images doing BüllsPort more justice, we hope ;-) Our old Great Dane (and grand dame) Joey is no more, but we still have our four-legged guest relation team welcoming our guests ;-) Belated regards from the Naukluft Mountains

We've recently stayed here during our travel thru Namibia.

Really liked the rooms, very spacious and clean with great bed. The farm is really nice with lot of activities to choose from.

The food was really nice, the dinner as well as the breakfast. The only 'issue' we had was that as the only non-german speaking guests we felt quite left out during the evening meal as the rest of the guest spoke in german to each other the whole time.

There are some hiking trails nearby which the owner recommended to us. We took the 'zebra trail' which we took (with our guide) and saw lot of mountain zebra's, kudu's, baboons...

There is also a small swiming pool, which was great as it was really warm.

Overall we really liked this place and would happily stay here again.

Stayed here with three friends during a trip around Namibia and all of us were uncomfortable with the (ethnic German) owners' derogatory comments during dinner about the local black people, one of whom we had picked up on the road.

We stayed one night and where amazed about the beauty of this place. Kind hosts with that personal touch to let you feel very welcome. Large rooms, comfy beds and linen. We can warmly recommend this place and are sad that we don't have the time to stay another night to hike the trail

Maybe you caught the Virus Namibiensis and visit our country again, as so many others do? On your round trip through the South BüllsPort is the ideal first stop from Windhoek or last stop on your way to Swakopmund or back to Windhoek. Staying with us for two nights would enable you to explore the mountainous side of Namibia: Explore our Quiver Tree Gorge or "discover" the mighty Rock Arch of the Naukluft... Just saying... ;-) And thank you so much for recommending BüllsPort! Best regards from the Naukluft Mountains

We really enjoyed our stay at Buellsport. The room was very nice and spacious and the service was excellent. Dinner is taken with the hosts and other (mainly German) guests each evening which was very enjoyable. It's a great lodge and there are nice walks nearby, however, the scenery and animal spotting aren't quite as impressive as in other places we visited in Namibia and it's comparatively expensive.
