What a great concept Gondwana has created! The Camping2Go is the perfect inbetween, you literally only need to take your own food and clothes, the rest has been taken care of. Clean tents with a portable aircon and fan, cutlery, braai area and your own ensuite bathroom, is really the best of both worlds - camping at its best! Location is great, not too far from Sossusvlei and the beautiful sunset over the red dunes ends off your day perfectly. Thank you to the friendly staff and team members, you are the heart of soul of the successful Gondwana Collection.

We couldn't be happier with our 3 day stay at this lodge. The staff was really friendly and made us feel so welcome the whole time we were there. The buildings are beautifully appointed and decorated, surrounding a gorgeous oasis of a pool area where you can cool off after hiking the dunes. The area around the hotel is stunning, and we enjoyed hiking around the lodge and sitting in the patio watching the animals at the watering hole. Walking around the lodge at night with oryx and lots of stars was a highlight. We were particularly impressed with the restaurant. It's not like you can go somewhere else for dinner (the lodge is quite isolated) so they could have presented much less exciting food to their captive audience of guests, but we were blown away by the beautiful meals prepared by the lodge, and looked forward to dinner every night.

We had literally no complaints for our stay -- friendly, beautiful, good food, quite room overlooking antelopes. We can't wait to go back!

The Camping2Go tents are the perfect choice for travelers looking for the camping experience whilst still enjoying luxury and comfort. Everything you need is already in the tent, including a well equipped kitchen.

The overall service of the staff is of undeniably high quality. Everyone is friendly and professional and the food is exceptional.

Namib Desert Lodge offers a variety of different types of rooms all at unbeatable prices with the most incredible view. Definitely worth the visit!

I booked the Tented Camping2Go site and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is comfortable with a proper toilet with warm water and all the gear you might need for food to cater should you want to braai or make a potjie. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. My favourite part was the pool area which is picturesque, and again here there are towels by the pool which is one of the ways everything is built for comfort.

I would not recommend staying in the tented site during very windy periods as it is quite loud and scary with strong winds. All in all, the views were amazing and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful location. Definitely would recommend it.

We had Cold water on day one in shower and now water on day 2 and 3 after we reported it.
Bad service from bar and at pool, only one waiter to serve many guests. Water pipes and geyser make a lot of noise during the night, you can hardly sleep

Dear Willies625 Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We regret that your shower was malfunctioning, we addressed this with the maintenance team on site. The rooms were not used for quite a long time due to covid 19, we believe some water pipes were blocked, this is not an excuse because we were supposed to run the water at some point to keep the system running. All this has been resolved now. As for the hot water ,the lodge was fully booked by then and our electricity were overloaded, we switch the geyser off after 18h00 while guest is having dinner so they can have the AC at night and have hot water again in the morning. Regarding the service, we have taken note of few people serving at the pool and we have put more staff on duty this time around to improve on our service delivery. w We do apologies for the inconvenience we might have cause. Kind regards The Gondwana Collection Team

The Special offered to Namibians holding a Gondwana Card was excellent value for money.
However, I experienced beforehand problems with the booking office in Windhoek and had to present to the lodge a printed copy of the payment and booking, as it seemed that our booking was not confirmed. Very unusual for the smooth running Gondwana Group!!

We stayed in the Camping2Go and what a pleasant experience. The tent felt like a luxury room with a mobile air conditioner. The view was beautiful and we spotted a bat-eared fox, springbok, and a gemsbok from our tent braai area. they make it feel like camping as all your utensils are packed in black ammo crates, and everything was super clean. Will definitely visit again.

I would advise to think in future to put mini fridges in rooms to keep travel cooldrinks and snacks cold. As this was a problem for us. Although they provide ice, snacks cant be kept on Ice. Also the service at the pool took very long.

Our stay at Namib dessert was very relaxing and quiet. We decided to drive to Sesriem and seem to have picked up a tyre puncture sometime during our drive. The staff at the logde assisted us in reparing our tyre and we were good to go. Staff are very helpful and friendly

Food is lovely and focussed on mainly Namibian produce
