Had an Oasis room - very large, nice balcony, good amenities, very clean and modern. Nice pool. Breakfast included cook to order items. Dinner was a 5 course feast - both nice food. Staff friendly. Sundowners for sunset worth doing. Star gazing at night superb. Complimentary tea and cake each afternoon at the pool bar lounge. Internet the only suspect thing....not crucial when you're on holiday but useful given flights etc are all online check in now. Visited Sossusvlei - about 30 mins drive to the outer gate and then another 50 mins to the 2x4 car park. Unless you're a confident 4x4 driver I'd take the shuttle from here to the 4x4 car park - about 5km further along and the start of the walk to Big Daddy and Deadvlei - we saw a number of cars stuck and our tractor even got stuck on the way back! Shuttle was 180 N$ return for adults and 50% for children. We arrived at the outer gate at 730am and started the Big Daddy climb just before 930am, we climbed the first high point in about 30 mins and then decided to run down into Deadvlei (rather than drop down and then walk back up to the second higher point). Walked in socks which seemed to work better than trainers. Came back with stops at Dune 45 and a wander through the canyon near the entrance which was worth doing. Had a brief lunch at the cafe near the entrance gate (part of a campsite) which was good value and friendly. Entry to the park was 150 N$ per adult, children under 9 were free and there was a 50 N$ charge for the car. Drove from Windhoek - B1-C24-C14-D854-C19-D845-C27. Google said 4.5 hours, it took about an hour longer than this due to all roads apart from the B1 being gravel or sand limiting your speed in parts.

Le Mirage Resort and Spa delivers an outstanding holiday experience with its exceptional food, friendly staff, and stunning accommodations. The Oasis rooms are spacious and beautiful, providing a perfect retreat. The resort's well-kept grounds add to its charm, offering picturesque views and a serene atmosphere. Overall, Le Mirage is a top choice for a luxurious and memorable getaway. On our last night, we were spoiled by Sylvester who created a romantic dinner experience for us. We were so surprised & loved every minute of it - a lot of thought was put into it - Thank you!!

We stayed at Le Mirage Resort and Spa. From the time you walk in, you are welcomed with a fresh, cool towel, homemade ice tea, and their lovely staff.  We are here on our honeymoon, and what an incredible stay it was. We were here for 2 nights and 3 days. We arrived with a flat tyre, which Sylvester came and told us, and he helped us fix it right away. Sylvester, from the very start, made us feel at home. At dinner, we chatted and connected, and he was so authentically interested in who we were. His smile was contagious. He was our waiter throughout our whole stay. On our second night, he had a romantic table outside, ready for us and sparkling water. The 5 course dinner on both nights was something out of this world. The Executive Chef came and said hi, and we told him how amazing his food was.  We did the quad bike sundowner with Abraham. What an interesting and informative tour he gave, and the views were just stunning. On our last night, we stayed in one of the two outdoor tower rooms, and we slept under the stars and saw the Milky Way. On our final morning, we did the half a day excursion with Johnny & Levi. We saw the sun rise and he told us so many interesting things at each stop. From DeathVeli to Dune 45. This will be a stay we will never forget. Everyone was just amazing.

Best stay ever, one of the most beautiful unique hotels in the desert with a Moroccan touch, rooms were squeaky clean, service from reception to room service and restaurant was excellent, the views are to die for, listen the dinner experience is 10/10. Pictures don't do justice to this hotel. It's practically 10 mins drive to the sossuvlei gate.

The lodge has an amazing pool area , staff are friendly and attentive Our only gripe was the aircon units in the oasis suites are totally insufficient to cool the large area , every single guest that night complained about the same situation - We were the only SADC guests Spoke with Mr Damster The GM he seemed understand the problem as we were not the first to complain Would definitely return but in winter - won’t try in summer again just way too hot Special mention to Sylvester who waited on us lovely guy with a good sense of humour Le Mirage staff are a definite asset

After a disastrous night at Moon Mountain (too hot in chalets with no aircons, rude management, no shade on the decks) we forfeited our second night's stay and sought alternative accommodation. Fortunately we happened upon Le Mirage where the staff and ambience were so welcoming that we checked in immediately for a blissful afternoon and evening. Our short stay was so pleasant that we tried to extend - sadly Le Mirage was full. We were not put off, however, and returned a week later for a further three days. There are a number of factors which made our stay at Le Mirage so enjoyable and top of the list is the staff - all of whom were extremely pleasant and helpful, none more so than Iumue at the front desk. She is a star. Special mention must also be made of Saymore (the chef who paid special attention to our dietary needs), Allen (behind the bar) and Caneesha (who looked after to us at the dinner table). Other key positives in relation to the lodge are: - Its situation - in the middle of the desert with stunning views towards nearby mountains (behind which the sunsets in the evenings); - The (much needed) swimming pool - is always kept clean and in a courtyard surrounded by green lawns and palm trees; - The food - which is of a high standard. Dinner is a five course menu while breakfast is a buffet with hot dishes are individually prepared. We would strongly recommend the quad bike tour which is approximately 2 hours and takes in the varied desert landscape plus a sunset drink at the top of a nearby mountain. Be warned, the sundowner drink on the mountain is (sensibly) a bottle of water. Our guide, Abraham, was excellent. We very much look forward to our return visit in April. Helpful hints for management: There are two issues which my wife and I feel very strongly about and would urge management to pay special attention to. 1) At breakfast, birds sit on the outside tables and will readily attack any unattended food. Also, there was bird mess on our table on every breakfast occasion. This situation is unacceptable and we never experienced this in any of the other 5 lodges we stayed in on a recent visit to Namibia - all of which had outside seating. A cat would easily solve the problem; 2) One day by the pool, three young unsupervised sisters created havoc around the pool and jacuzzi for a full 7 hours - from 10;30am to 5:30pm. The parents were no where to be seen and nor was management. All of which made our day by the pool rather unpleasant, The reason I bring up the above two points is that we return to Le Mirage in three weeks and are looking to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

We had an amazing stay at the Le Mirage. Mngr. Meliza and her excellent and super friendly staff made our stay just perfect. Great room with a balcony (used at night) located in the pool building. Great pool with nice sundbeds. Great restaurant with a five course fine dining menu every night (we had a special occasion and got to have dinner in their wine cellar below ground - most special). Great breakfast (outside). Great bar. Amazing landscape and sunsets. And being a car guy - even covered parking for our truck. This is a good location to visit Sosussvlei. And if you get in trouble with a flat tire and more they will be most helpful. We will visit again!

What a beautiful place, an oasis in the desert. Our refuge for two nights from the blistering Namibian sun. The resort and it's surroundings, stunning! It was misty and so cool in the mornings. Loved sitting out having coffee in the morning. Shaded parking was available for free. The staff, exceptional! Each and everyone of them so friendly and helpful, but a stand out to us was Caneesha. Excellent service and lovely to chat with. She took such good care of us. The meals were very good. Tried some game meat, which were quite enjoyable. Breakfast was ok, not much variety. The room was clean and beautiful. We did have a leak in the shower, which was fixed straight away. To stay in such a special place was so amazing. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this once in a life time experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at le Mirage. Unfortunately the Spa treatments are really pricey in comparison to normal rates in Windhoek. Be careful, the walkways to the rooms get so extremely hot from the sun that you will burn your feet if you forget your shoes in the room. Otherwise, I can just recommend the lodge, the food were delicious, nice rooms, perfect to relax next to the pool.
