Vingerklip is located in the most spectacular area and it could be outstanding. The rooms need airconditioning because it can be extremely hot. . I would also recommend tea & coffee in the rooms. The bar area was pleasant. A pity that the restaurant could not be open air or at least with large open windows because it can be very hot.
We werde there for the third time and loved it each Time!!! Beautiful Location and friendly staff, neat chalets, nice pools, exzellent Dinner and breakfast, lovely view from each Terrasse and especially from Eagles Nest!!-we will come again!!
We wanted an overnight stop so that we could visit Twyfelfontein, the organ pipes and the petrified forest on our way from Etosha to Uis. The rooms were fabulous with balconies and a view of a waterhole. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. We ate in the Eagle's nest restaurant which was a fabulous experience and the walk up was nothing like as challenging as we expected. Panoramic views whilst dining. THe grounds are well maintained and beautiful. Easy access to the vingerklip rock. Would recommend
Stylish and very comfortable chalets set in beautiful gardens. Great sunset dining experience at the Eagles Nest atop one of the terraces. Well worth the climb! Lovely sunrise walk to the impressive Vingerklip.
Staying only one day, we found an excellent accomodation at it´s best. Friendly stuff, convenient and silent room´s with magnificent outlock, various possibilities for hiking. At last a place i will stay again.
Mainly the friendly staff and quality of food. Also the fact that it is a pleasure for staff to address you in Afrikaans. Felt at home. Could do with maybe some MTB routes and longer trails for walking.
This was by far one of our favorite accommodation in 2 weeks in Namibia - the scenery was spectacular, the food and view from dinner at Eagle's Nest (reserve in advance; can go up for sunset drinks even if you miss dinner) was delicious and special, we saw a giraffe at the floodlit watering hole from our personal balcony, the room was spacious and gorgeous, the infinity like pool was a delight, the cake with free tea/coffee was amazing! BUT.... the power went out for at least 4 hours in the middle of the night (I guess no back up generator?) so we couldn't use the fans. And there were no screens on the windows so we didn't want to open them for fear of insects (there was a mosquito net though). So we had our worst night sleep of the trip, despite the fancy lodging.
The best lodge of Namibia ! I was there with one of my best friend and we realised we would come back for our honey moon or any other holidays in Namibia ! Its an amazing view and we felt we were alone ! we had the opportunity to see Girafe at night and great rockpainting !
It's a nice Lodge. Reception was rather cool with no information provided. Most staff wasn't customer oriented at all. In the Restaurant staff was playing with its handphone instead servicing guests. Many staff wasn't trained at all. Rooms/huts were nicely decorated. bath rooms we renovated but definitely not done by craftsman. Soup spender in the shower were fixed just under the ceiling!?!? The shower heads are so low that only people smaller that 1,7m could stay underneath. Maintenance is also not a priority here, e..g missing lock at terrace door, bulbs in security lights along the path to the huts are missing. The place has a beautiful landscape and garden. Aircon units were installed but not yet operating (no info about that when we booked). Here, high prices for wine as…
