The Lodge is very nice, but the rooms are rather small and not everything is as new anymore. But the view from you room is one of the best you can get in Namibia. There are 2 pools and the whole hotel area is very cool with several view points. You can do some hikes during the day and take a closer look at the Vingerklip. If your lucky you can spot some elephants at the Ugab river (about 14 Kilometers from the Lodge). They have to Restaurants, one at the lodge and one on top of the Mountain (which you'll have to climb for 20 minutes but it's well worth it). But the best thing by far is the kitchen. Their chef cooked probably the best meals we had in Namibia. You can't even describe how good the food was! Staff and Owners are lovely hosts and do everything to make your stay as…
Vingerklip team did everything during our stay although we were the last guests before lockdown. We deeeply thank the team that made our stay such remarkable. Hope that the normal times are back soon. Good luck. Philip&Sabine
HI All, You wont be disappointed, So far the Best Hospitality i have received was at this Lodge! The Friendliest Staff makes you feel so Welcome! We stayed up at Heavens Gate! The Perfect Cocoon for a couple :-) The Room is amazing with the View and the Privacy! Oh and I just loved the POOL! I Got engaged up there so I wont be Forgetting it anytime soon!
Magnificent location with a tranquil and meditative view and atmosphere. Warm hearted and very friendly staff. Will come back for our third stay. A small and lovely oasis in a unique landscape in Namibia.
We chose Vingerklip as a stop en route from Etosha to the coast - if we'd known how beautiful the area & the lodge were, we'd have stayed longer, It is isolated, and certainly not on the tourist trail, but if you are looking for amazing scenery, a very tranquil stay and great accommodation, then Vingerkilp is ideal. By the way,,,,the Eagle's nest restaurant, belonging to the hotel, is perched high above the ground on a cliff top that is only accessible by foot (up a metal stair way that clings to the rock...). Anyone with vertigo (aka me!) should avoid. I made it to the penultimate level and had to opt out:) The food in the restaurant at the lodge on terra firma is lovely, so don't worry if (like me) you don't have a head for heights!!
