‘Kipwe’ meaning blessed in Swahili, is revealed amongst gorgeous boulders with sweeping views across the Aba Huab valley in the stunning ancient landscape of the Damaraland desert. When entering the nine dome shaped rooms you will feel like entering a cool secluded cave, whilst relaxing on the outside decks you once again become one with the breath-taking landscape, connecting you with superb views beyond. Nestled within these boulders, you are led from your room to your partially open outdoor bathroom where you can enjoy a starlit showering experience. Kipwe’s Suite provides you with all this and yet even more elegance, space and style for discerning guests. Activities at Camp Kipwe include nature drives to find the desert-adapted elephants, or visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein to see the rock engravings, and enjoy our signature sundowner experience with 360 degrees of breath-taking beauty. ** COMING SOON IN 2021 - 2 NEW SUITES **

We really couldn't recommend Camp Kipwe more! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so relaxed and welcome. All of the staff were so lovely and helpful and we really couldn't have had a happier time. Dinner was delicious and a lovely setting following a gorgeous cocktail on the top of the rocks. The rooms and bathrooms were so well kitted out and nicely decorated and the pool was a lovely little haven (although very hot but that was likely the time of year we were there!) They were also so kind in ensuring we had some breakfast for our 6.30am departure and helped us out when our car battery had run flat. All in all such a great place to stay - couldn't recommend it more!

We loved this small lodge. The common areas are just gorgeous. The lodge, sundowner area, boma area and walkways around the small lodge are very special. We booked for one night only, which after doing the excursions meant we did not have much time to enjoy the ambiance of this beautiful lodge and area. The dinner and breakfast served at the desert elephant excursion were excellent. We didn't partake of the breakfast before the excursion as we wanted the extra time to get ready to leave right after we were done. We enjoyed both the Twyfelfontein and desert elephant excursions. The Twyfelfontein one is not for the unfit though as you have to climb up quite a few rocks to get to see the carvings. They do have an alternate tour if you can't do the hike though. I would highly recommend this lodge and really wish we had spent one more night!!

This is the place to stay in Southern Damaraland without a doubt. The location is beautiful, the staff are exceptional and the Manager very attentive. The food is excellent as are the Sundowners on the hill top. The rooms are very individual and set amongst the rocks, beautifully appointed. The common areas are equally attractive and the outside fire pit a lovely touch. We also went on one of their Safaris which we found to be excellent as well. We really cant say enough good things about Camp Kipwe. Just stay thee!

Staying at this lodge was one of the highlights of our trip through Namibia. The rooms are centered around the boulders that form the landscape. The outdoor bathroom made this lodge truly special for us. You get the feeling of camping with none of the discomforts. It is very private too. The staff at the lodge couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The sundowner area at the top of the hill made sunset memorable - and yes they have a bar up there.
