The Resort consists of seventeen fully furnished chalets. The central area consists of an attractive restaurant, bar and swimming pool, all with incredible views of palm trees and the beach. The attractive Indonesian styled chalets sleep 6 people and have a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room and veranda that overlooks the ocean or the tropical garden. Archipelago Resort is situated close to the Bazaruto Marine Park which is famous for its pristine sea life, coral reefs, turtle breeding grounds, dugongs and migrant whales. The Resort has onsite boating activities for sailing, game fishing, visits to the glorious islands, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. A cross fit open air gym is available for intense exercise. Diving and horse riding can be arranged

My family & I booked at Archipelago Resort for a fun holiday & our wedding. I spent a year communicating with the brilliant Priscilla via email to organize our wedding - she was extremely helpful, reassuring & full of great ideas. Our holiday was absolutely amazing, but our wedding day was extra special. Priscilla, Marcial & the rest of the great team at Archipelago Resort went to great lengths on the day to organize our wedding on the beach, with a stunning arch that was beautifully decorated accompanied by a champagne and snack bar for after the ceremony. The dinner was delicious, which included peri peri chicken, Prawns, salad ...the works, which was followed by a delicious cake made by Priscilla herself. I highly recommend this Resort for both a family holiday & a beautiful location for a destination wedding. Thanks again to everyone at the Resort for being so hospitable, friendly & helpful.

What an incredible stay at the resort. Given the weather a few days before from cyclone Freddy the resort staff did such a fantastic job to clean up, rebuild and make every single one of us feel totally welcomed.
The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much to for them to do. They even hired us a wonderful nanny to baby sit in the evenings for us while we got to enjoy some family time at the bar/restaurant.
The wedding was brilliant, the food amazing (best muscles dish I’ve ever tasted) and generally such a brilliant week away. Would HIGHLY recommend to everyone.

An amazing family holiday. Very special memories made. Priscilla is absolutely fantastic goes over and beyond. The staff are outstanding. Delicious meals although a little slow but worth the wait. Didn't like the walk down to the beach stairs not good but you can use the slip way which is quite steep. The sea and beach is beautiful the photos do not do it justice. Lovely grassed shady area right on the beach to settle down on should you want to get out of the sun. There is an outstanding hospital close by should you need it. Two great little grocery stores you can buy anything you want. Tatenda the wonderful driver at the Resort can take you in at a small fee to buy whatever you need. Casa's are very comfortable and serviced daily. Wonderful all round have alreayd booked for next year. A definate MUST!!!!

Archipelago has everything a holiday maker is looking for! We have been going to Archipelago for 10 years and it is still by far our most favourite holiday. We call it our second home. Arriving there is surreal. No time to unpack, but put costumes on, head into the beautiful blue sea for a swim and then onto the deck for a delicious seafood lunch! The Casas are situated high up with a full view of the sea and constant breeze and a few footsteps onto the white sandy private beach. There are beautiful walks and boat trips out to the islands and the snorkeling at 2 mile reef is magical. The restaurant offers the best food in town and the menu has a wide variety. Priscilla and her staff go out of their way to look after you and you don't want to leave when the time comes! Days are filled with swimming, snorkeling, walking, island trips, making new friendships, reading, building sandcastles, buying seafood, trips to Vilanculos town and marketing shopping! The countdown for our next trip has already begun!!

Absolutely incredible venue! We went for a wedding and the staff were amazing and very very accommodating, even after a cyclone had caused damage they managed to clean up and accommodate us after just 2 days! I’d highly recommend this little gem in a beautiful part of the world!

The face of archipelago resort Priscilla Made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She went above and beyond for us and made us feel so treasured. I will always return here because of her. Everything we asked for was done and always made extra special. From the seafood platters for a 60th birthday bash to our 11 year beach front anniversary dinner everything from the deco to the food it was absolutely stunning we also had the most delicious chocolate cake for the birthday celebration which Priscilla organised 🎉
Gilodo, Vashco and Steven the waiters are always so lovely and accommodating.
The sea view casa so lovely and spacious with everything you need to be comfortable.
We will continue to return here 🙏 our home away from home.

There are some positives about staying here - the staff are lovely, particularly the restaurant staff who will go out of their way to make your meal great. The food is delicious (the peri peri chicken and grilled prawns are so good!), and because it's located on the southern part of the beach and is the only resort there, it can feel like you have the entire beach to yourself.
The huge downside of my experience was interactions with the male manager. The resort currently has a bit of a dog problem - some of the dogs from surrounding areas follow people onto the property (the dogs themselves are very friendly, healthy) when you walk there from the stables or the beach. This happened to me when I was walking onto the property and the manager started screaming at me, cursing and threatening, demanding I walk the dogs back to where they came from. He was horrible and it put a huge dent into my experience staying there, making me scared of bumping into him in case he decided to start shouting at me again. I appreciate it's a difficult situation with the dogs, but screaming at guests isn't the way to go.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you appreciated our fabulous restaurant and enjoyed the best beach in Vilanculos. At Archipelago Resort we obey all the Mozambican laws and one of those laws is that all dogs must be registered and no dogs are allowed in the restaurant. Our dogs Mango, Lady and Stumpie roam freely and are given lots of attention from our guests. Regrettably we noticed more dogs coming onto the premises and it was necessary that we corrected the situation before receiving a fine from the authorities. I am sorry that you were offended by our Managers harsh words.

Our stay at Archipelago Resort was amazing, the view is just Fantastic (magic) !!! In a dream setting, Priscilla the 'conductor', and her team make your stay even more pleasant. The positioning of the hotel is wonderful, easy access to the beach, to everything... Our Priscilla knows everybody and always has good advice, horse riding in the ocean, boat trips to the surrounding islands, snorkeling on the two-mile reef, name it she knows...! We would love to come back (soon)!

What a great resort. The team at Archipelago Resort was so wonderful - a special shout out to Karen, Vasco and Stephen who took care of us during the week we were there. It was my son's birthday while we stayed there and they went the extra mile to make sure he had a special meal that evening. And the food was out of this world!
Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a beautiful spot with excellent food. Simple accommodations, but great for two families to stay at.

where we stayed there was a restaurant very kind as we usually leave for diving before the opening so, they open earlier just to help us for breakfast (very good one). Also, all the meals are served there.
for diving, there is rental gear and scuba diving just inside the property. The money should be local money but they accepted us dollars at the end. To get to the Archipelago resort from the airport, if you made reservation you can have the transportation. Also, they call taxi as you need to go to the village. they are all very kind.
