The resort consists of eighteen fully furnished chalets. There is a central area with an attractive restaurant, bar and swimming pool. The chalets sleep six people each and have a fully equipped kitchen. It is situated close to the Bazaruto Marine Park famous for it pristine sea life, coral reefs dives, turtle breeding grounds, dugongs and migrant whales For the more active, we boast an extensive knowledge of the area, with our Dive Instructor/fishing expert having operated in these waters for nearly 10 years. Our portfolio includes unexplored dive sites, fantastic surf, fly and big game fishing. A fully equipped SCUBA dive center offering on site PADI courses; boats and fishing equipment for hire, wind surfers, para sailing, banana boating, island trips and transfers, dhow trips, horse riding along the Vilanculos beach and much, much more.

We really loved our stay at Archipelago Resort. Priscilla and Kirsty were super helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. The Casas were spacious and well appointed and the gardens and views beautiful. The food at Sand Dollar restaurant on the premises was really good. We used Wild Africa and Sunset Dhow for our island trips and they fetched us on the beach in front by boat. The horseriding is also superb - lovely horses and a great guide. Instead of a taxi, we walked into town and caught a tuk tuk back. We bought fish from the local shop. We really loved everything about our holiday.

Tranquility. Relaxation. A piece of heaven on earth! We did the route via Pafuri/Mapai/Mabote! Although very scenic and beautiful… road was a challenge… and then we walked into paradise. Every staff nember - fromm office to gardener - always smiled, treated us with respect and appreciation! The food is out of this world! And your drinks are my with care and a pinch of love added. There was not a single day I didn’t feel blessed to be in paradise. As we have a disabled child - the stairs to the beach was not an option for us - yet a plan was made to get him down to the beach and picked up again daily. As we drove home - a call was received… I forgot my cooler 🙈 … but I arranged that the cleaner got his tip and they can keep the cooler …. I can’t thank the staff that tended to us every one by name … I don’t want to leave any one out … but from the moment the security guard opens the gate - everyone just wants to make sure you are happy and relaxed. Owners can be proud of each staff member who cared for us during our stay!!! Bring me some tea please… my husbands inside joke with the bartender! We will definitely go back!…

Although we sadly didn't stay in Archipelago, we had a delicious meal at the restaurant, ordered starters and the seafood platter and thoroughly enjoyed the meal! Loads of lovely fish, prawns and lobster beautifully cooked and tasty. And the hotel and views were spectacular. Definately going back

Once again we had a fantastic two weeks at the Resort. Priscilla and her team were as ever superb and very hospitable. We ate out a few times but never as good as Priscilla's fine cooking. We will be back next August!

The face of archipelago resort Priscilla Made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She went above and beyond for us and made us feel so treasured. I will always return here because of her. Everything we asked for was done and always made extra special. From the seafood platters for a 60th birthday bash to our 11 year beach front anniversary dinner everything from the deco to the food it was absolutely stunning we also had the most delicious chocolate cake for the birthday celebration which Priscilla organised 🎉 Gilodo, Vashco and Steven the waiters are always so lovely and accommodating. The sea view casa so lovely and spacious with everything you need to be comfortable. We will continue to return here 🙏 our home away from home.

Our family had another fantastic stay at Archipelago - what a beautiful spot, lovely spacious area, safe for our kids to roam, and with arguably the best beach in the area. The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient - Kirsty was front of house and couldn’t have done more to help. When we had a couple of issues in our casa she organised the maintenance team who sorted it asap and checked in regularly to see if all was ok. Our housekeeper Arlindo was amazing, and the restaurant/ bar staff were lovely, including Gildo, Vashco and Stephen, and they treated our children especially kindly. The food in the restaurant is delicious - great seafood and also of note is Pricilla’s mutton curry. they also organised a fun pizza night which went down a treat and had a great atmosphere out under the trees! The one down side is that sometimes we had to wait quite a while for our food, and the stairs down to the beach are a little risky. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back to Archipelago - thank you to all the staff! …

Without car not possible. No basic shopping at all. No windows in the house so it was always windy inside. Restaurant not varied and very basic. Breakfast always the same. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Good day to you. Archipelago Resort is 6kms south of Vilanculos on the best beach with amazing views of the ocean. It also had the deep water channel right in front of the resort so there is always the ocean to swim in when the tide goes out. We organise transport to town, if and when it is required, to do shopping or visit other resorts. The casas have mosquito netting on all the windows. There is also canvas to pull down when it is windy. We totally disagree with you with regard to the restaurant ( we have rave reviews from our clients and visitors from town) The menu is long and varied, including the breakfast meal.

For a family vacation it's worth it ,safe for kids , the casas are well maintained in good shape , the sea view verandah wooo my wife enjoyed her coffee there every morning . The staff members are very friendly and hospitable , the restaurant food it's mouth watering fresh and delicious . We created lasting memories , keep up the good work. As a suggestion , for activities if it's possible to have current prices from service providers before the trip so that one plans accordingly . It's better to use Sussundenga road as the Inchope turnoff road to Maputo is extremely bad. However, once at the resort , the resort kisses away all the road pains Well done team Archipelago Resort Vilanculos

Archipelago! You are always a winner. One of the best holidays you can have with either small kids or teenagers! The service and hospitality here is next to none, you can ask and from reception to the kitchen they bend over backwards to cater to your every need. The food at the restaurant never disappoints. The views, beach and sea are always stunning. The perfect family getaway to relax and unwind!

An amazing family holiday. Very special memories made. Priscilla is absolutely fantastic goes over and beyond. The staff are outstanding. Delicious meals although a little slow but worth the wait. Didn't like the walk down to the beach stairs not good but you can use the slip way which is quite steep. The sea and beach is beautiful the photos do not do it justice. Lovely grassed shady area right on the beach to settle down on should you want to get out of the sun. There is an outstanding hospital close by should you need it. Two great little grocery stores you can buy anything you want. Tatenda the wonderful driver at the Resort can take you in at a small fee to buy whatever you need. Casa's are very comfortable and serviced daily. Wonderful all round have alreayd booked for next year. A definate MUST!!!!…
