We just visited from another accommodation for dinner this place. The food is amazing next time I will book this accommodation. We ate garlic lobster and as a desert crepe with a delicious chocolate cream with some nutty flavour - awesome!

What an amazing place!! Absolutely a stunning environment that is worth the drive! You will feel in paradise and hardly believe how idyllic it is.
Excellent food too, lobsters and fish! Try to organize a bit in advance to make sure you have the best available from the market.
Not sure it is a good idea to promote publicly this hidden gem :)

Having stayed at busua inn, the owner's other hotel, we were convinced to visit their secluded getaway, ezile bay. It is truly a magical getaway, with a perfect little cove exclusively used by the resort and the neighbouring local village.

We stayed for a few nights and were sad to leave. The staff were great and in particular the owners, Olivier and Danielle, we're incredibly accommodating. They even organised a bonfire party for is on the beach one night! The food is also great.

The place is deliberately set up as rustic accommodation. Don't go there expecting tiled bathrooms, Tvs and air conditioning- as danielle says- the luxury exists outside, not inside.

Ezile is, quite simply, amazing. Having stayed on their lovely beach a couple of times (for two weeks in November 2013 and a week in December 2009), my wife and I chose it as the venue for our wedding in February, after trying out several of the lodges along the Akwida coast.

We and 40 of our friends stayed for one incredible week, and every one of our guests absolutely loved it.

The beach itself is beautiful, with postcard perfect white sand and palm trees, and the sea is safe for swimming. But with just enough waves to be fun!

The large, airy, restaurant/bar is excellent, with superb local and french food. Everything from french toast breakfasts and grilled lobster to groundnut soup and omo tuo was delicious.

Accommodation at Ezile is basic and simple, but all rooms are clean and have mosquito nets. And, as Danielle said on our first day there, "the luxury at Ezile is outside". All the bungalows have en suite bathrooms with running (cold) water and solar electricity, and the dorm rooms share open air showers just outside.

The nearby area is very safe and the village of Akwida is friendly and welcoming. Ezile can arrange guided day trips, including canoe trips up the river through the mangrove swamps, and longer walks to cape three points and further afield.

Best of all, though, are Danielle, Olivier and their fantastic team. Friendly, professional and great fun, they made our stay and surpassed even our expectations. From helping to organise our ceremony, and the night's entertainment, to making sure the drinks kept flowing for our thirsty guests, they were just brilliant.

Overall, we cannot recommend Ezile enough. Thanks for everything!

Ezile Bay is a lovely place, true paradise. We stayed there for four nights to relax on the beach and we'd really recommend this place if you want to come to rest. Quiet beach, lovely bay, beautiful fisherman village on the other side of the hill, great staff who's always there for you to make you feel at home. The assistent manager really knows what hospitality is, he's a nice and professional guy who makes sure you have the best time. The owner is a French lady who's really taking care of her business.

If you want to go to Ezile Bay, just take a trotro from Agona to Akwidaa and drop at 'new town', from there it's only a 15 min walk to Ezile Bay. If you ask there's always someone who's happy to escort you :)

Stayed few days in Ezile Bay with my husband. It’s a perfect gateway from the busy Accra. We enjoyed the bay so much, very peaceful... in one word: Paradise! the staff is very friendly and responded to all our needs, and the owner Danielle makes sure we were good and took time to discuss with everyone… the food is very good, using local products but as the same time having the French taste… I already miss this place and can’t wait to stay there again…

After a long, tough drive we arrived at Ezile Bay and felt like we'd stepped into a fantasy land. Unlike many beaches the region, this one is very clean and well taken-care of, as is the entire property. The manager was happy to show us all the options for accommodation-- my girlfriend and I took one of the bungalows and our friend stayed in the dorms, and we were all pleased with our quarters. The bungalow was small and airy yet private, and you can't beat the location: right on the beach, facing the water, literally steps from the waves. While the rest of the region tends to have pretty huge waves, Ezile Bay is protected by being in a cove and the surf is safe and easy to swim in and would be fine for kids. In fact, we had a pretty delightful experience while swimming there-- about fifteen or twenty small boys came to join us from nearby Old Akwidaa. Keep an eye out for one or two rocks (visible at low tide and the staff can point them out at high tide) and try the cassava leaf salad if it's on the menu.
