I have so much respect for the husband & wife duo who run this place! It was one of the best holidays me and my friends could ask for just before the new year in 2019. Next time I'm in Ghana I will try and stay for at least a month. Forgive me for forgetting names, but I have to give a special mention to the lady of the lodge. She is attentive, kind, compassionate and caring. The attention to detail in each room, cleanliness, quality of food, and cleaning products is a sanctuary to find in Ghana. Well done Peter and your wonderful partner

We had a double room, with ensuite. When we arrived an interesting VIP Bus journey( If you take the bus from Accra, make sure you have a photo of your drop off point) not to be repeated...ever. Fly or STC. we were struck by the design, the colours, the understated comfort. A chest of drawers would have been helpful, but we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Lovely food fresh every day, simple, local and well cooked and served. The openness of the Lodge, ensured you mixed, easily with the other guests, plenty of space if you want to avoid them!! The Beach Club, which they own is a welcome haven - cold beer, attentive staff and the surf school provides much fun, life and enjoyment.

After traveling the middle and northern region of Ghana, arriving at the coast in Busua, specifically at Ahanta Eco Lodge was a dream come true. The spot is the picture of serenity, the room was beautiful, the people working here are very kind and helpful and the food is just to die for.

We had breakfast and dinner here every day and lunch twice, the chef is such a sweet and incredible cook. They also have a bar where they make their own liquor shots and serve cocktails for a fair price.

Definitely recommending this place to everyone that comes to Busua. If not for sleeping, then for the food. Thank you Eco Lodge, hope to see you next time!

I stayed at the Ahanta Eco Lodge for four nights with my family - an amazing experience! The lodge itself is located right on the beach but is tucked away among some lush trees which provide shade over the lodge's wonderful veranda and hammocks. We took surf lessons on the beach every morning (with very good instructors and surf boards) and then walked back to the lodge to eat a post-surf breakfast consisting of delicious cocounut pankakes, fruit and eggs. The staff were very kind and helpful - when our surf lesson ran over slightly one morning our surf instructor informed the staff back at the lodge that we were coming, and the staff kindly ensured that we could eat a slightly later breakfast. The beach itself is beautiful and lends itself to long walks and swimming when you are not surfing. Along the beach you can also find a couple of nice restaurants and bars. The rooms we stayed in were clean with great bathrooms, comfortable beds and mosquito nets. I would strongly recommend staying at Ahanta Ecolodge to anyone who wants a relaxing and calm getaway in a breathtakingly beautiful environment.

Pitched a tent at Ahanta Eco lodge because the facility was fully booked at the time of my trip. I must say I had a good time. The staff were very helpful from the moment I called to make a reservation till I left the Lodge. They called to make sure I was ok as the journey there was longer than expected. I got to Ahanta at 1 am, they helped me pitch my tent and made sure I was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Dinner was amazing. The environment serene and clean. Shower under a tree definitely the highlight of my trip.

1️⃣ Local staff who enjoy their work 2️⃣ Friendly and diverse multi-ethnic clientele 3️⃣ Lovely owner/manager couple who live on site and run the lodge with passion 4️⃣ Varied and healthy homemade meals 5️⃣ Great drinks and super chill bartender 6️⃣ Common areas indoors and outdoors where you can relax on your own or chat with others 7️⃣ Beautiful interiors with local materials and techniques 8️⃣ Cool outdoor “tree shower” (in addition to en-suite in most rooms) 9️⃣ Mosquito nets and bathrooms in good condition 🔟 Superb surfing school with the best teacher ever (Bébé). We had booked a week but decided to stay longer 🥰 (But this is Africa, and things don’t always run smoothly, so fussy guests will find things to complain about here too, I’m sure. Just relax and don’t be that fussy guest, and you will love it!)

I'd heard a lot about Ahanta Eco Lodge before going but the actual stay blew my mind. Warning: if you want a tiled, stark, plain room, this isn't the place for you. However, if you want a rich environment that radiates warmth, personality and a connection with nature in appropriately bright and soft colours, you need to stay here. You'll love the serenity, the helpful staff and the wonderful food. It's hard to recommend anything on the menu, try as many things as you can! Julia (the co-owner) is very insightful and one chat with her is enough to give you a deeper appreciation of everything there. It's a must-have experience.

Positive: food very delicious (finger licking good), good cocktails, rooms cleaned and nice, staff member extra nice and considerate, the place is exactly like in the pictures.
They offer surf lesson in a very nice spot, which is good.
Negative: every morning, you are woken up at 5:30, because of the rooster just under your window, or because of the church's loudspeaker which wails in Busua every morning from 5:30 to 7:00.
There wasn't wifi even after they told me on the phone that there would be, and asking them a couple of time once there. They never bought credit.

Unfortunately we never got to this place. We had very detailled communication beforehand, received a large range of information, were supported extremely well with our planning. Then, however, one of us fell ill, and we were not able to go. The still reimbursed the fee we had paid beforehand and acted very kindly.

Perfect place to stay with family for our first visit to Ghana. We had a great time, all the staff were very friendly and our rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and although we tried a couple of other local restaurants we kept coming back to Ahanta for dinner. Julia was extremely helpful right from when I made the booking and answered all my questions very quickly.

I don't know, there is land around to do so and the ownere is very wilco, so would not hurt to email them. I assume the tent has internal fly nets, you will need them as mosquitos are a problem.
