We happened upon this place by chance, after crossing from South Africa at the small border post of Tsabong. We liked it instantly. It is a good place to unwind, and the hosts (Jill Thomas and her brother-in-law Dave, not to mention their charming dog and cat) made us very welcome. Jill has lived in Africa all her life and has a fund of information about Botswana and its people, particularly the Bushmen with whom she has worked to preserve their heritage.
The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, and the whole place has a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. We also liked the original art works, done mostly by Jill and her friends, which decorate the place--it is worth a visit just to see the articulated skeleton of the 'dragon'.
An evening meal is available, but note that this is not a restaurant, so it is more like being invited to dinner at a friend's house. We liked that.
This would be an excellent place to camp, although we chose to have a room instead, as we had an early start. I would like to go back there and spend more time exploring the area.

Berrybush Farm is an exceptional place. When you have mastered the sand tracks of Mabuashehube you will take pleasure in the relative comfort offered by Berrybush Farm. And when you are on your way to Mabua, Berrybush will get you in the mood to venture out further. It is a place to breath nature, watch the sunset from the comfortable chair on the veranda, and at night get overwhelmed by the stars as the milky way stretches down to the horizon.

And you will enjoy the hospitality of Jill who herself would be reason enough to go to Tsabong. She will have much to tell you about live in Africa, about the lions in Mabuasehube, which routes you should take and which ones to avoid and how much tire pressure would be adequate to negotiate the deep sand.

Prices for camping, dinner and breakfast are very modest, and you get much value for your Pula or Rand. Do not forget to bring your own beer or Sauvignon Blanc for the sundowner as Berrybush does not operate a bar.

If Tsabong was not so far I would be on Berrybush much more often.

Enjoyed our overnight stop on the long haul from Port Alfred to Ghanzi. Berrybush is an interesting place with camels in abundance patrolling the fence. We were there on a cold winter's night and had a warm good night's sleep under an old fashioned carross, it was lovely to experience the deafening Kalahari silence with the occasional lonely cry of a jackal, once more. Berrybush is a no frills lodge and is priced accordingly, good value. Jill gave us a warm welcome and entertained us with reminisces of a Botswana now gone.
If planning an overnight in Tsabong, look no further.

We spent a night there on our trip to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, travelled with friends, 3 cars, 6 people. We had dinner, it was 'just like home'-cooking, really very good.
We liked our stay a lot. We were the only people on the site.

The week I spend a Berry Bush is something I will never forget. The place is simple and peaceful. The staff are friendly, hard working, and full of stories. I also highly recommend Jill's cooking. A perfect place weather you are stopping over for a night in a worm room, or camping a taking it essay for a few days.

Allways enjoyed our stay at Berry Bush Farm. They have good enclosed private campsites, a good common environmen and ok toilets, showers ets. Not luxury, but who needs it in the bush? You will enjoy your stay here as well.

Berry Bush is a small no frills establishment and I ideal for stop over or a weekend retreat. Facilities are very basic but this is made up by the welcoming environment one gets from the owner operator. It is perfect springboard to tour the Famous sand dunes and the trans frontier game reserve.
