My wife and i stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and we were blown away by the camp and staff. The staff at the camp made sure our stay was exceptional. Michelle was always there to greet us and make sure we were comfortable. Benjamin ensured our room was spotless each day and had all the amenities readily available to us. Even the chef deserves applause and is a prodigy in the making- I had some of the best meals of my life while staying here, even better than fine dining from our home in new york city. All the other countless staff as well deserve praise for their efforts Our guide TV also was an important part of our stay. His knowledge of the park and its game as well as his impressive off road driving skills made every time we left camp an enjoyable experience. He always tailored each drive or activity to our interests and led us to incredible game interactions in a safe manner. The amenities of the camp were astounding with plenty of places to relax and get comfortable. Our tent additionally had a pool which led to some great interactions with the elephants. Overall we had an all star experience in the park and with the team. Any one travleing through zimbabwe should ensure this camp is part of their stay.…
A beautiful location with 5 star accommodations & meals plus their wonderful staff made us feel like family. Nic Polenakis our guide made sunrise to sunset filled with life long memories. We saw so much wildlife and with his knowledge of the area & animals that was priceless! Thank you Nic for everything, you went above & beyond. We loved that Cloud was able to join us on some of our rides & Cherish she thought of all of our needs & more, Hope to see all of the staff in the future who treated us like they had known us forever. Take care of Sabrina : ) Thank you, Dina
Nyamatusi Mohagany is a beautiful, family-friendly experience in Zimbabwe's gorgeous Mana Pools National Park. The incredibly gifted guides - especially Nick - and the wonderfully welcoming staff - especially Cherish, Nobert, Blessing, Charlie, and Talent - have such keen attention to detail...they make your stay more perfect than you ever could have imagined. You'll sleep to birds cooing and elephants gathering food. You'll wake to hippos bellowing. A parade of animals make their way past your luxurious and eco-friendly/solar powered/water saving lodges each morning and night. You can sit on your balcony with a sundowner and watch nature at its finest.
We just loved our stay at Nyamatusi. The camp is luxurious and still gives you the feeling that you are in the African bush. You are very close to nature and experience the most exciting interactions between the animals (we were there in December which is not the best time of the year at all, but still saw lions killing buffalos, six baby lions, crocodiles and hippos fighting over food, etc.) - just amazing! Besides regular game drives, you can also go kayaking, fishing or for a boat ride. The scenic view is wonderful! Staff was extraordinarily friendly and did a great job at entertaining the guests. Food was almost always very good! We felt like we were in our African home! Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family!
An amazing few days at Nyamatusi Mahogany. The most friendly staff - Jaison, Pamela & Blessing & such an interesting knowledgeable guide - Alf.. our first time back in Mana after 27 years to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary & what a treat! Such an experience walking in the Bush, tracking lion & wild dog sightings. Awesome game drives, sun downers, Bush dinners & relaxing by the pool while the wild life wonder by. What an absolutely beautiful part of Zimbabwe. We are so privileged to call it home!
Mana Pools is a favourite for our family and Nyamatusi Mahogany Camp certainly did not disappoint. The facilities are fantastic, comfortable and perfectly situated with views out across the river to the mountains in Zambia. The animals roam freely through the camp with the elephants often stopping for a drink from the pool outside your tent. The food was delicious and plentiful and we were looked after by the amazing staff, led by Jaison. Jaison is truly welcoming and a fantastic host who took care of our every need. Our guide, Lovemore, is an exceptional human. His knowledge, his humour and his care is unbelievable. He made sure we had the best views at all our sightings, he walked with us, taught us so much and laughed with us endlessly. What a fantastic experience - we can't wait to go back. ABC you have a winning combination, fantastic people and fantastic camp, well done!!!…
Mana Pools is probably my favourite place in the world. Nyamatusi Mahogany really do this stunning place justice. We went as a family of 4 with kids aged 7 and 10. Both us and the kids were treated like family/royalty. Nyamatusi is split in 2 with Mahogany being child friendly - way beyond friendly really. The lodge setting is perfect, great views over the river floodplain with game a constant in camp and on the plain. Activities were varied, not just game drives, and every one was as close to perfection as I have ever had. We were guided by Nick who had a wealth of experience and knowledge but more that this he was amazing with the kids. Joyce hosted us and again nothing was too much for her. All the staff, Witness, Princess, Pamela and all the others made us so welcome and took a real interest in us - fantastic service and just made the stay perfect. The wildlife was fantastic, great sightings every day, but for me Mana is about the landscape and the 'feel' and this can't be beaten. I can't rate this highly enough, my kids cried as we left and I might have had a bit of dust in my eye too. This was a trip for my 50th and made my year.…
Lovely new member of the ABC family. Like all the other lodges we had been in the rooms were lovely, and central area looked out over an area that was plentifully inhabited by, guess, what?, animals: elephants, antelope, and others. Food was great.staff was friendly and helpful. Our guide Brian was wonderful found us a few lions, and my only sighting ever of wild dogs! A walk safari with Alf completed our delightful stay.
African Bush Camps were excellent and looked after us very well indeed. The accommodation was amazing and so well thought out. Our guide was very knowledgeable and looked after us very well indeed. The children loved seeing all the animals and we were so lucky to see the wild dogs as well as a lion kill - very special. They did an amazing bush supper for us one night which was just so lovely - under the stars by the fire with lots of singing and dancing. Jason, Pamela, Shingi and all of them were great. Thank you for a lovely time.
My husband and I, along with our adult daughters and their guys, spent the most incredible three nights at Nyamatusi Mahogany Camp in late July. It's hard to know where to begin, so I'll start with what stands out the most and that is the truly exceptional staff. Their warmth and congeniality combined with their professionalism and humor created an atmosphere that we will never forget. Our hosts, Joyce and Jaison, set the tone for the entire camp. Upon arrival at Nyamatusi, we were greeted by Joyce and Jaison leading the staff in song. The incredible hospitality we were shown made us feel at home for our entire stay. Lovemore was our awesome guide. With Lovemore as our leader on game drives and walks, it was as if we were in a college level course on the African eco-system. His depth of knowledge was truly remarkable. In addition, Lovemore, with his quick wit, kept us in stitches and seemed to possess unlimited tolerance for our incessant questions. We so enjoyed being able to spend our time in camp, at meals and around the campfire with our guide, our hosts and the extended staff. It was a lovely opportunity to get to know them better and hear about their experiences. We were so touched on our last night when we were surprised by a dance party and celebration in honor of a couple of major events in our family (an anniversary and a recent engagement). The kindness and thoughtfulness of the entire staff of Nyamatusi was just remarkable. On the banks of the Zambezi River, with views across to the mountains of Zambia, the setting for Nyamatusi Mahogany is stunning, especially at sunset. The design and decor is gorgeous: contemporary, spacious and comfortable. We loved the views from our "tent" and especially from the two-story common area. The food was wonderful! There were great, healthy choices and all so beautifully presented. Oh! yes, the wildlife! Mana Pools is an amazing area. We saw lots of elephants, impalas, kudus, zebras, a huge variety of birds, crocodiles, lions (several times) and tons of hippos. Don’t miss: 1) a canoe trip on the Zambezi: up close and personal with lots of crocodiles and hippos, that will get the adrenaline going! and 2) a walking safari - especially on the trail of lions! The guides in Zimbabwe are some of the best and most rigorously trained in Africa. It all adds up to an unforgettable experience!!!…
