We were fortunate to spend 5 days at Cerruti Lodges 14th to 19th April. The facilities were excellent, comfortably furnished to a high standard with everything a self caters requires. The views are outstanding and the local Crocodiles and Hippos in the bay in front of the lodges are a reminder that you are in the wild. Just loved the silence and the amazing sunsets and bird life. Came away totally refreshed and wanting to return as soon as possible.

Beautiful chalets and landscape.Great time with 3 large families. Need to upgrade every room with Aircons as fans only not enough to cool the heat especially when sleeping. Large freezers and well maintained pool. More lighting needed outside. Jerry and rest of staff very helpful and experienced. Great stay

I agree. Aircons would be nice. We have looked into this. To aircon a thatched home is more expensive due to the dissipation of cooling. Also the cost of Zesa has increased dramatically. Alternatively, we are looking at portable cooling units.

Thanks so much. Hope you had a good time at Mana Pools. Often visitors stay with us on the return trip from Mana. Maybe the next time you come the water level will have risen so that we have water in front of the lodges.

The staff were amazing! It was very expensive for the accommodation which was basic, old fans (no air conditioning), old mattresses, bedding and furniture. However the refrigeration and catering facilities were very good. Overall opinion was terrible value for money.

Sorry you were disappointed. Over the festive period our rate is double that over a non peak period. I think this is the standard in the hospitality period. We have considered air conditioning but with the recent increases in Zesa costs this would result in either an increase in fees or installation of seperate meters for air con. Experience shows us that guests leave there fans on for 24 hours and that this would also happen with air conditioning.

We had comfortably 9 folk in our lodge. Fully equipped with linen freezers fridges braai microwave etc. Fans in every room. Clean and comfortable and Jerry on hand to assist wherever required. Pool and gazebo provided relief from the heat. Set on the waters edge gateway to boosting and fishing. Wonderful stay highly recommended

Was in 27 July - 29 July 2018, Lovely place , by the shore of Lake Kariba, plenty of nice viewing spots for the Lake, Hippos , Crocodiles, birds and some wild animals that come close to the enclosure.

Had fun as a group of 8 couples using Lodges 2 and 3, very friendly staff (Uncle Jerry Chitimura our Chef).

Would definitely recommend it if you want to relax and take a break from the noise .

I have stayed at wonderful Cerruti Lodges on three occasions with friends and family and have recommended it to many other people. There are five self-catering lodges and they are all very comfortable and well appointed. The rooms are large and three of the lodges cater for up to nine people and all have spacious kitchen, lounge and dining areas. It really is a fantastic place to relax and unwind.

The lodges are situated at Charara on the lakes edge and are in easy reach of Kariba town and the Kariba Dam wall. Lake Kariba is an absolutely amazing place to visit and the lake itself is approximately 225 kilometres in length and up to 40 kilometres wide in certain places. Kariba Dam, when built in the late 1950s, was a unique engineering feat of its time and remains a formidable sight. It became a very popular tourist destination because of its range of tourist facilities including houseboats, game viewing and fishing, however in recent years, with Air Zimbabwe’s troubles, Kariba had became somewhat isolated, but is now being rediscovered with flights having been resumed in August 2014. Kariba has always been very popular with anglers and still attracts numerous international and local competitors for the annual Tiger fishing tournament held in October of each year. Other than fishing, the lake and surrounding shoreline offers excellent game viewing and wonderful birdlife and visitors are bound to see the magnificent Fish Eagle.

Cerruti Lodges are privately owned and are flexible in their offerings. The location, set up of the lodges and grounds are ideal for groups and for hosting such functions as weddings. The grounds are very neat and well maintained and the views of the lake are stunning. Each lodge has its own braai (BBQ) and the lodge has a great swimming pool. Cerruti Lodges is the perfect place to just chill out, but for first time visitors I would recommend a stay of 3-5 nights and that will give you time to explore the area.

Kariba is renowned for its stunning sunsets and most visitors will have the opportunity to experience the amazing colours as the sun quickly disappears on the horizon. Truly a sight to behold and photographers will have some great shooting opportunities.

Cerruti Lodges are self-catering so it makes for a very reasonably priced stay. I highly recommend them. Check out their website: www.cerrutilodges.com
