We booked here based on the previous reviews I saw here and they were right! We stayed in the cottage which was so well-outfitted with everything including a full kitchen. The beds were so comfortable and my son told me it was his favorite of all the places we stayed on our tour through upstate NY. Also a special thank you to Abby for the great tips on restaurants and things to do in the area. We really had a wonderful time!

We stayed at the wooden Boat Inn 10/2/2020-10/04/2020. The room was beautiful. Super clean. It was close to town. Walking distance to everything. The owners were so nice. They have a common area for everyone. We will definitely stay again. Thanks so much.

We had a 3 night stay at the Wooden Boat Inn in Clayton, NY. It was perfect..a private, clean, comfortable room and bathroom. The owners, Berny and Valeriee were attentive and very informative about the area. The Inn is a few blocks from downtown, a very easy walk to restaurants and shops. There is much to do and see in the area...very easy drives to Cape Vincent and Alexandria Bay. We visited the Tibbetts Point Lighthouse in Cape Vincent and had a very good meal at Coal Docks(both at the recommendation of Berny). The Clayton Boat Tour to Boldt Castle was great. I'm glad we went and hope to go again!

We stayed at the Wooden Boat Inn on a friend’s recommendation. Bernie (owner) was wonderful. He was so helpful making suggestions of things to do and totally knew the area. We felt right at home, keeping our perishables in the kitchen fridge and hanging out in the back yard area with Adirondack chairs and a fireplace. The rooms were small but very comfortable, clean and within walking distance of everything Clayton. We would definitely stay there again. I was sad to leave! Great host!

We stayed three nights mid week. The owners are very friendly and helped us get to know the area, marking spots on a map for us. Very clean and comfortable. A few blocks from downtown, every thing was within walking distance, and was quiet at night. We will return for sure.
