The Aloft Buffalo Airport hotel captivates guests with its distinctly modern ambiance and clean, well-maintained accommodations. While service experiences can be a mixed bag, ranging from commendable to disappointing, many travelers find the hotel's location near the airport and the free shuttle service incredibly convenient.
The hotel's rooms are generally seen as spacious and comfortable, yet some guests have suggested there's room for improvement in both cleanliness and amenities. During peak times, the hotel's value comes into question, as some reviewers feel price surges do not reflect the overall experience.

We stayed here for the first time to see what it’s like and save a few dollars. We normally stay at the Fairfield when flying out of Buffalo or having a shopping trip. Overall it was fine but a combination of a few little things made this hotel rated lower for us. Nothing the hotel could do better, really, it’s just the way it’s designed.
The layout of the bathroom and closet area was unusual and not our favourite. It’s kind of a combo bathroom/dressing area. The bathroom sliding barn door was clunky and noisy, which isn’t fun in the middle of the night. The walk-in shower itself was fine but really low pressure water. Pretty loud toilet flush. Bed was very soft, in case that’s a problem for your back. No free breakfast included.
One reviewer complained about no hook for the hand towel but there is one. It’s unusually positioned, though, so I can see how you’d miss it. And they said there wasn’t a Do Not Disturb sign for the room, but there was one in ours. They said the lights were “all on or nothing” but that’s not true: multiple light switches. There is some flight noise but it’s beside an airport so that’s to be expected. We didn’t find the noise troublesome, only noticed it once in a while, and not at night.
Positives: Our king room was spacious. Blackout curtains worked well. We liked the long sturdy bench for laying out luggage and storing packages. Thin carpets. And, if you’re easily entertained like us, from the west side rooms you can watch the action in the Parking Spot lot next door. So we’d stay again if the price was a lot better than Fairfield where breakfast is included, but it would have to be a lot better for us to switch.

I’m a New Yorker so my Surprise I got treated just like I was at home the young professional lady Tierra Lambert couldn’t have been more accommodating and understanding I was a Hilton honor member for many years until the treatment that I got last week so basically they can kick rocks. I was tired weary, and I had bought some groceries. Specialty items from New York for my son in college that had to be refrigerated, the bartender was amazing, he was able to supply me with Ice for my gigantic yeti so my Item stayed intact. The room was accommodating. The temperature was totally comfortable staff was Friendly and helpful. And this hotel is completely handicap accessible I utilize a mobility scooter, and I had no problem navigating in the room ample parking, airport shuttle and Amenities like an indoor pool with a Disability lift pool table ,games ,inviting decorum why would you stay anywhere else I want to Thank Hilton For guiding sending me Aloft which I’m familiar with already as this is my go to place when I have an overflow of family members that come to Harlem last minute 125 st customer service and hospitality still exist it was a pleasure.

We went and recently stayed for a hockey tournament with our whole team. We were very happy with our stay. There was an issue with the room we booked when we were checking in and the front desk staff took care of the issue right away and made sure we were happy. We stayed for 4 days and the entire time the front desk staff was extremely pleasant and very professional. Even though we were a big crowd they handled us very well and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I witnessed some other guest not in our group not being so pleasant to the front staff while checking in which also prompted me to leave a review because the gentleman was way out of line and so rude I could not believe it. The issue was out of the hands of the staff and a management issue to handle. The young lady at the front desk handled the situation very professional as she possibly could. Also, Ms. Patti who made us breakfast in the mornings was the sweetest and made the best sandwiches. Very delish !! The bartender was on staff in the evenings and made really good manhattans !!

We had booked a reservation for $149 about 6 weeks prior to arrival in April. The hotel cancelled our reservation without telling us the last week of March so they could charge customers much higher rates because of the eclipse. They cancelled the cheap reservations, gave us a sorry excuse about a computer glitch, and when we checked the website, the hotel was still selling rooms for $500+. Price gouging at it's best. Do not book there because you may not have a room when you arrive if the hotel can sell your room at a higher price.

Hotel very close to the airport, max 5 minutes from the terminals. It has free parking and an excellent breakfast service with various products and at a lower cost than other hotels we stayed in during our trip to the USA. "Lively and youthful" environment. I liked it a lot.

I really hope they change their mind about the new pet fee, Pets staying free is what kept us coming back every month on our drive. Not any more!! Lost another customer. I never received great service here, and the rooms are just OK, there tends to be occasional partying and loud hallways, smell of weed, but the fact that we could reliably come into town late on our roadtrip drives to MA, and know that we don't have pay extra for our dogs was the biggest appeal. We only stay from about 11:30pm to 6:30am, I am definitely not paying $75 extra for that.

The hotel is still a great option when we travel to Buffalo - centrally located, easy access to highways, reasonable pricing. The room itself is very nice, spacious, and the overall hotel concept is quite contemporary and fun. The hallway floor carpet tiles could use some refreshing, I've seem them look much nicer in previous visits. The staff is very friendly and helpful, make you feel right at home.

I booked this place based on how cheap it was, most of the recent reviews werent too pleasant so I was mot sure what to expect, but I've never had any problems with any of the Marriott Hotels ive stayed in. Mario & Linda were extremely friendly. There was another woman who was messaging me thru the Bonvoy app that I did not catch her name. I requested an early check in after a sold out night at the Hotel and a night of partying in downtown buffalo and was told my room would not be ready until 1, but they texted me around 11:30 saying I could come and get some rest. All of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A few noticed that I was in merchandise from the A Boogie show Friday, so we got to talking about where I was from & how long I was in Buffalo. I was not expecting a free breakfast (up to 10$) to be included with my stay, so that was very pleasant after my non-stop weekend. Overall, this is a clean, up to date, safe place to stay. I will be coming back in the future and I hope to see Mario and Linda & the other staff that I connected with. This Hotel is doing a great job of maintaining Marriott's level of customer service that I've experienced at the higher cost Marriotts across the nation. Truly a relaxing place with amazing staff. -Devon

I regret to say that the experience at this hotel was less than enjoyable. We stayed here for one night before flying out with the family to NYC. We booked a room with kings and got queens. Normally, this would not matter to most people, but we have three kids. The room with the kings makes a BIG difference. I tried to speak with the lady at the front desk, Shehonda, and not only was she terribly unhelpful, but I felt her to be dismissive, borderline rue and completely unconcerned. If it were me, I would have apologized and made things right, somehow, in some way. We were flying out very early, and no one slept. We were all quite uncomfortable. This, in turn, ruined the following day for all the kids on our short pre-start-of-school getaway. They were completely exhausted, and all the planned activities were not as enjoyable as they should have been.
Then, the hotel hallways stunk like sweaty feet. The place needs to be cleaned and ventilated, and the carpets should be washed. Perhaps air fresheners would help.

When I checked in the front desk unfriendly woman told me I had no reservation. Then she tried to convince me that I must have made the restart the other location in town. Not true. Then she said they were full and had no rooms available. I asked her to call the other location and she said they don’t have the same reservation system. Oh come on- it’s a Marriott for god’s sake. I asked to speak to the manager and she said there wasn’t one on site. Then she left me standing there while she went in the back room. By this time there were three other people in line behind me also waiting. When the desk attendant came back she had another woman with her and after clicking and clacking on her computer she stated” oh did you make your reservation online?” And then said because I elected something called Keyless access- can’t remember the exact terminology- that that system doesn’t really work. Really? It was just a button on their Marriott website. The whole thing was ridiculous and then she somehow came up with a room for us after saying there were none earlier. Never apologized to us or all the other people waiting behind us. We are Marriott Bonvoy cardholders and loyal to the brand. Maybe not in the future though.

Dear Shelley - I apologize for any inconvenience experienced during your stay. Your comments point to the fact that we have some specific training to do with certain individuals, and that we need to raise the bar so much higher during the arrival process. Rest assured - we hear you and we will be hard at work making those improvements happen. Thank you for your feedback. Regards,

It will depend on the type of room booked. In a King room the maximum occupancy is 2 & a double Queen room is 5. We also have to ensure social distancing and contact tracing (if needed by the local health dept). You can meet in the lobby area & since you are family you can be together at a table. I hope this helps.
At breakfast we now serve breakfast pots, something unique to Alofts...breakfast all in a cup for easy travel...We have one that has mini pancakes or overnight oats..
The shuttle runs 24/7 & has to be scheduled for drop offs; pick ups are on demand
