A maze of meandering water channels, papyrus-fringed banks and floating islands teeming with wildlife, Botswana’s Okavango Delta is the jewel of the Kalahari. In the heart of the Delta, on the edge of a waterway, sits &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. Situated on a diverse, wildlife-rich, private concession, Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge has exclusive traversing rights over a vast 22,500 hectares (55,600 acres) of wildlife land bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The inspired organic design of the lodge melts into the surrounding forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees. Towering trees offer ample shade as an intriguing curl and sweep of shingled wood comes into view, resembling a giant, scaled pangolin at rest. While the main guest area is set within the forest, the 12 guest suites peep out from beneath its canopy. Raised above the papyrus-lined banks like golden weaver nests, each is a cocoon of privacy, with breathtaking views, a private plunge pool and cosy fireplace.

This resort exceeded our expectations! Everything was beyond amazing, no pun intended. The accommodations were lovely, the staff was very accommodating, attentive, and welcoming. They thought of every detail, the to- go bagged lunch and snacks, as we were leaving, was much appreciated. Our guide K D and tracker Jose were just outstanding! We saw so many amazing things on our drives, and felt very safe with them. I have no idea how they managed to find all of the animals that we found! It was like finding a needle in a haystack, but still they managed. Our butler TT couldn’t do enough for us! He was awesome! The chef did a great job and food options were terrific! I highly recommend this resort!!!

We spent three nights at Sandibe and were pleased by the experience. The food was outstanding and the chef was willing to cater the menu to our specific likes/dislikes. Our butler, TT, was one of the best we have ever experienced. After day one he knew our preferences and went above and beyond to assist us at every turn. The lodge is gorgeous with a great view of the delta. The room is slightly smaller inside than expected but does have a large outdoor area (beware on the lookout for baboons). The only downside to the lodge is the lack of air conditioning. The room does have a small air conditioner over the bed which helps at night but it isn't able to keep up with the heat of the daytime. In addition, there is no air conditioning in any other part of the lodge so your meals can become quite warm if the temperatures are high. If you don't enjoy the heat then be cautious of the temperatures when you are traveling to the area.
The game viewing is amazing! We were able to spend time with many animals throughout our safaris. In addition, the scenery in the area is stunning. We submitted a last minute request for a private vehicle and the lodge manager, Bruce, went out of his way to make it happen for us. Our guide/tracker were very new to the lodge and could have used a little more experience but I assume that will come over time.
Overall, a very good location.

We have just spent 4 incredible nights at &Beyond Sandibe. The lodge rooms are large and luxurious with every possible comfort. Beds are extremely comfortable. The butler hatch is an amazing concept where anything from morning coffee to a plate of snacks can be delivered to your room. The outside shower was incredible and we used it every day. The lodge common areas are all luxurious with attention to detail and no good view is ruined by building structures. The unique architecture of the camp can not be done justice in photographs and blends seamlessly with the same environment. Food was great (and in abundance). We loved the interactive ‘build your own’ style lunching. The Nachos and Pizzas were delicious. Chefs at Sandibe are you wonderful people, so friendly and kind and went far beyond their duties to ensure that we felt special. Service in camp is among the best we have experienced in 20 years of visiting Bush camps. &Beyond has always been synonymous with excellent service but Sandibe is a cut above. A special thanks to lodge managers Greg, Penelope and Racquel who now feel like family and who went over and above to create memories we will never forget including a private dining experience served on the patio of our room and a wonderful surprise champagne sundowner. Butlers Moses, Joshua, TT and SP were amazing and constantly found ways to increase our enjoyment of the lodge common areas! Thank you! Our main reason for choosing Sandibe was for the game viewing and we were not disappointed. Our excellent guides Ronny and Jose stopped at nothing to ensure we saw everything we wanted to. Several leopard and lion sightings including lions on the hunt at night. We identified over 100 species of birds. Sundowner spots are chosen carefully at the most beautiful waterways on the reserve. We left agreeing that Sandibe was one of the most special lodges we have ever visited having visited almost 25 lodges in the past. We will be back again in the near future to see all the friends we met at Sandibe and experience all that this wonderful place has to offer.

Spent three nights at Sandibe with my two teenagers.
The experience was first class. The game spotting was out of this world. I have been to quite a few camps over the years but I have never seen game like it !
The accommodation is gorgeous. Beds were so comfortable . It wasn't nearly as cold as I feared it might be in the mornings. And the evenings were not cold at all. Just a hoodie was perfectly warm enough.
The little touches that the camp provide make it so special. Hot water bottles, welcome drinks every evening, personal butler for the duration of your stay, little notes from your housekeeper every evening etc etc etc.
It all adds up to a very personal and fabulous experience.
It's expensive but you come away feeling like royalty ....
I could write for pages about how great this camp was and all the things that make it so special! Would totally totally totally recommend.

We spent three nights as a family of five at the lodge and our stay was about as perfect as it could be. Our Butler, TT, was just amazing and made our visit so special. Our guide, Ben, and tracker, Jose, went the extra mile to ensure we saw plenty of lions, leopards, cheetahs and lots of other animals. They even put us onto a pack of wild dogs on the way to the air strip for our flight home just to put a bow on our great safari experience. The food was so good and plentiful, the rooms and views were spectacular and we had the best massages ever. We feel like we made friends with the staff since everyone was so friendly and helpful. One of the guides actually lent us his camera since ours was not the right configuration. Everyone at Sandibe was so great and the safaris and setting can't be beat. Our family is looking forward to returning one day. Well done Sandibe!

I hardly know where to begin with my review of AndBeyond Sandibe. Every part of our experience at this beautiful lodge was outstanding, memorable, and pleasing.
The staff at Sandibe are its real strength because they look after guests exceptionally well and do it in a personal, warm and genuine way. TH made our stay very comfortable and was always on the spot with drinks, food and anything else we needed. Josh, at the bar, dependably makes the best drinks. Penelope, the manager, cheerfully checked up with us regularly, including making sure our COVID tests were done without issues and even appeared at a beautiful picnic site on our last day with delicious smoothies. Effy, the AndBeyond rep in Maun met our flights, had our COVID results and made sure we got checked in quickly and smoothly. All the staff at Sandibe were helpful and cheerful, giving us a warm group send off as we left.
The property is unique among all the safari camps in which we have stayed in southern and Eastern Africa. It’s is beautifully designed and fits into the landscape perfectly. It overlooks a beautiful river visited by hippos and elephants, two of the latter spent an afternoon enjoying leaves and grasses just below our suite. The main lodge is airy and spacious, and there’s a beautiful elevated deck where we enjoyed most of our meals. Our suite was also, clean, comfortable and roomy, with an outdoor shower, pool, large outdoor seating area, and a beautiful view. WiFi was good, laundry service was excellent and the housekeeper kept everything neat and fresh while we were out. One nice feature is the pass through from outside where coffee was delivered early every morning before breakfast. The mini bar had a selection of gin and soft drinks.
The game drives were excellent. Sefo our guide and Boesi the spotter did a great job of finding what we wanted to see. They found mother and daughter cheetahs who had just killed an impala, and who were quickly eating it while jackals and vultures kept a close eye out for scraps. The unfortunate impala quickly disappeared while we watched from nearby. We also watched elephants playing in water, with a new born baby elephant (definition of cute), a hippo fight, comical baboons and lions stalking a Buffalo herd.
Food at every meal was really good and there were several menu choices each time. At lunch we enjoyed the build your own kitchen where you can build your own pizza (they have an oven), burgers and other dishes. Breakfast before game drives, lunch mid day and a relaxed dinner after the evening drive we’re all very enjoyable. Kitchen staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
We arrived and left Sandibe by helicopter, and there’s a helipad near the lodge. This flight option is very convenient plus there’s a great view of the surrounding delta as we flew along.
We enjoyed our 3 day stay here very much and hopefully we can return to enjoy this wonderful place again soon.

We have been fortunate to travel to many safari lodges in Southern Africa and this is a great one. We enjoyed our stay from the first to the last minute. Staff, incl. trackers and rangers, are very friendly and competent. We had exceptional sightings incl. a kill made by wild dog within an hour of our arrival. The main lodge and the rooms are beautifully designed and exceptionally positioned in their natural surroundings. The food was some of the best we have ever enjoyed in the bush.
Only a couple of minor grievances: The design of the rooms is quite innovative but is not aging particularly well. Some of the woven wall structures on the deck are falling apart and do not look nice anymore. Our pool pump was quite loud, so staff kindly turned it off whenever we were in the room.

Our first impression started right off the bat from the warm welcome when we drove up to finding out we got upgraded! The rooms are exquisite and you're torn between never leaving the room and having to go out on game drives! Not a bad problem to have though. The food was fantastic and we absolutely loved the idea of being able to make your own pizza and nachos. It was definitely a highlight! The boma dinner was also fantastic and a night we will never forget. The food again and the entertainment was just so special. Although every second of our 2 days was memorable, I have to point out 2 things in particular. The first being that right after our arrival, we sat down for lunch and had this delicious dessert with homemade caramel corn. I asked the waiter if I could get a small side to take back to the room which he happily gave. At the end of the day, I came back to find a special package of yet even more caramel corn with a handwritten note from the team. It truly was a moment I'll never forget and it just shows how they go out of their way to go above and beyond and make every moment special. Speaking of special moments, every member of the team at Sandibe deserves a round of applause, but Penny is a standout. Her smile is infectious and she has a heart of gold that loves to give and she'll do whatever she can to make your stay even more magical. We had the best 2 days ever here and definitely need to spend more time so we will be back!!

andbeyond's Sandibe is the most incredible place we have ever stayed. We consider ourselves experience travelers having been to over 50 countries worldwide. When it comes to travel we love authentic access to nature with creature comforts that weave in luxury. Sandibe sets the standard that all other travel destinations should aspire to be. our trip to Africa included three weeks and six countries. The height of our experience was to spend time in Botswana's Okavango Delta. Sandebe was the first of three camps. After enjoying an amazing experience at Sandibe we were disappointed in the next camp, also 5-Star rated. It fell short on the details andBeyond does so well. We ended up canceling the rest of our stops, chartered a plane, and went back to Sandibe for the rest of our vacation. Their response, "Welcome Home!" Fitting. You will make lifelong memories and relationships and want to return.

I think the kids would appreciate it more if they are a bit older.
You don't walk much , so this is not a problem. But the drives are long , around 4 hours and young kids may get tired and bored.
There are more places to choose from in the Okavango Delta area.
