Had a great stay at Ihaha. We had site 7 which has no trees so we were concerned about the heat. But it has a view that makes up for the lack of trees. Ablutions are typical of a Botswana camp site. Will definitely be back.

The game veiwing and bird life is fantastic. Driving to Ihaha through the Chobe reserve from Kasane is beautiful. The camp itself was pretty uninspiring, but you spend so little time there that it's OK. The ablutions could be a bit better, but you're on a camping holiday, so it's fine.

Nice campsite very close to the Chobe river with fantastic sightings; simple sites with braai and in total 10 sites far apart; site 7, 8, 9 10 relatively close to the ablution block. Upon arrival nobody at reception. During the night police is active along the river in view of illegal river crossing from Namibia. Lions in the unfenced campsite with a kill early morning around sites 1 and 2.

Ihaha campsite was very lovely, being so close to the river and seeing the animals was beautiful.. until we had to use the ablution blocks. Unfortunately, they were very filthy and were only being attempted to be “fixed” during our stay. Im pretty sure they could do better

Ihaha Campsite is located at the board of the Chobe river The check in was swift and friendly. The ablutions and campsite could definatly be better maintained. Due recent robberies at the campsite there are patrols during the night. The views over the river are very nice from any campsite.

Campsite 8 - not preferable as the road passes through the camp. There is not much flat ground for a roof top tenting. The ablutions have resident bats! Clean - the shower heads are blocked so no water pressure! Leopard and hyena spoor in our camp noticed the next morning. Crime from the Namibian side has been a problem, so vehicle policing during the night has become necessary. There are fishermen netting in front of the campsites - spoils the ambience somewhat. There were some beautiful vistas as we headed off to Kasane

We camped here with a little trepidation following reports of theft from tents at night. We found that some effort had been put into security with a regular police patrol from around 22h00 to 05h00 and a permanent police camp near the camp office. We had a lovely game drive along the river in the evening, and sat quietly watching a small herd of elephant females and calves when a lioness came into view. The same lioness walked through our campsite later that evening as we were going to sleep and this was the only incident during the night. The bathrooms were a bit grubby with a dead mouse that had clearly been lying there for some time and some mouse droppings, but there was hot water for showers.

We had a really thrilling night. The camping it self doesn't have much. But the staff was very nice and they came to see that everything was alright. It is really worth it to spend a night there. We saw a lot animal life.

Look there is a lot being said about crime at Ihaha at the moment. But we were there for 3 nights no problems. The army was patrolling every hour. We just locked our car and put away all valuables. No problems. It must be one of the best camp sites in the sens that 5 km left 5 km right we saw all the big five except rino. Great sun sets and will go again.
