We camped here for one night and we were happy to not stay longer. The campsite was spacious but very basic- We also barely saw any animals in the area, even whilst driving around chobe, close to Savuti. Not really recommended!

As much as I read all the negatives about Savuti Campsite, I still took the plunge because of all those nostalgic NatGeo documentaries about Savuti. I initially had 4 nights planned here but only spent 2 and thank God for that. As others have mentioned...More

Over the past year travelling around southern and eastern Africa we've had the good fortune to visit many campsites and unfortunately this ranks in the bottom 10%. The reason it is so poor is that there is a diesel generator running continuously. At night it's...More

Went to Savute for an out of season visit. I also went to the wetland area of Moremi and oddly enough Savute was getting more rain. It was wet season so the wildlife were scattered but we had some fantastic dog sightings and saw the...More

Nice campsite, some places deep sand. The drive there (from Kasane, 4x4 only) is challenging but if you keep a slow steady pace going, deflate tires and avoid breaking too much you’ll be alright. The ablutions are clean, spacious, and have a rather ingenious wall...More

HI, sure it is easy to travel each part of the track in one day. You don't have to rush at all and can look around. From Savuti to Chobe we saw half way young elephants playing with each other in a pool.
