Rates from USD 500 per person per night. Savute, a remote and wild corner of Chobe National Park, stretches from the park’s northern boundaries to the Linyanti River. It’s named after the enigmatic Savute Channel, which flows and dries up intermittently, seemingly unrelated to rainfall: it flowed in 2009, again in 2013 and no-one can say when it will flow again. Savute Under Canvas is a mobile camp carefully positioned close to this channel which feeds into the Savute Marsh, home to exceptional numbers of elephant-hunting lion. Situated within the unique and haunting Savute landscape, our exclusive mobile campsites are perfectly situated to explore this remote region. The common guest area comprises open-sided tents for dining, pre-dinner drinks, or simply whiling away the time between game viewing adventures with a good book and a frosted beer or glass of wine. Delicious meals cooked over the coals are shared around a blazing fire. You’ll love the spaciousness of our mobile tents. Each of the five canvas tents boasts a comfortable double or twin bed, as well as an ensuite bathroom, separate flush WC and an outdoor bucket shower – steaming hot water is available on request. A private butler is on hand to assist with any requirements. Live this real-life adventure, immersed in the wild world of Savute.

We had an absolute wonderful time at this camp! The tents are spacious, the bed super comfortable and the hot bucket shower works great. The food was outstanding. The location is right in the middle of where the wildlife is. We saw lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, impala, owls, ostrich, eagles and many more animals in just 2 days. But what really makes this camp stand out is the team working there. What a group of amazing people! Everybody went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and cared for. We laughed together and learned from each other and felt like part of a great family. Thank you and we will be back!

A luxury campsite in the heart of Chobe National Park, this was the holiday of a lifetime. Probably the most money we have ever spent on a trip but we have returned with memories and photos to treasure forever. The animal sightings were extraordinary. And Beyond have a reputation for hiring the most expert guides and in 'Chief' we had a guide who seemed to be able to predict exactly where the spectacular animals would turn up. Over eight days we saw 47 lions and 5 leopards. We walked, canoed, were driven and all the time were entertained by Chief's expert knowledge and enthusiastic stories of the lesser-known animal and bird life that we were seeing. Set against this, the campsites and their tents are as luxurious as they could be. Best of all, each and every staff member seemed

The guys here were fantastic - they couldn't do enough for you. From the moment we arrived to the day we left they provided excellent service, top class guiding and exceptional food. The lamb curry was the best I have ever tasted. Our guide Mork knew the country like the back of his hand and gave us some exhilarating experiences; from tracking a male leopard to being among a huge buffalo herd as they headed to a waterhole. The cakes they cooked in a camp oven were delicious too.

This is a marvelous mobile tented in the Savute park. The tents are very comfortable with a proper bed, furniture and even a flush toilet and bucket shower and wash hand basin. The food is terrific. First time I have ever had fried eggs done inside an onion ring - YUM!! Cakes, bread and everything is turned out over camp fires. Our guide was marvelous and we had terrific lion sightings.

My wife and stayed for 3 nights in November 2016 in Savute under Canvas. But before I summarize please consider that this is a tented camp which has to move approx. every week to a new place - also far away from a permanent camp. During our stay we were in a very sandy area. And it was really hot approx. 38 degrees Celsius. After a 24 hours trip to Savute, our guide Morenga expected us at the airstrip. And we immediately enjoyed our first game drive. Elephants, Lions, Impalas and wild dogs on the 1st afternoon. Once arrived at the camp we were welcomed by the whole team. The tent was quite big. A bush shower and toilet were installed at the back of the tent. There was no power in the tent. The source of power was a car battery. After the 1st bush shower we went towards the

We went to Savuti in the month of September. It's a dry land and very hot.... But you will be amazed what wildlife you gonna see. Elephants (a lot) at the waterholes, the famous Savuti lionpride, warthog, vulture, buffalo... We had the luck to see the wild dogs. The Camp is very basic, low eco footprint. But the staff is doing a fantastic job! Very friendly and helpfull. And they do magic in the kitchen, great food !!! Recommended !!

When we were there it was around 40 degrees Celsius, far hotter than we are used too. However, it was so worth it, the camp is small and it makes for a sense of community. You sit around the campfire at night and learn what people in the other vehicle saw that day. You are also all eating on a long table which makes for lively conversation. The guides are also there for drinks and the meals and they join in the conversations and often we learned just as much at these times as in the vehicle. There was a great sense of community. The tents had lots of ventilation and usually there would be a little breeze at night. The tents are large and have real beds in them. There is a real flush toilet and bucket shower that holds enough water for both of us to take one and the bucket

This tented camp of 3 -5 tents is located in the Savute area of the Chobe National Park and due to park regulations moves every five days to another location. During our stay, the camp was situated right at the erratic Savute channel which was however dry at the time (late July) and I believe has been for a while. Of all the camps of our vacation, this was the one we had the least expectations of, partly because we did not know how the area and wildlife would be and how basic the camp itself would be due to being a mobile one. As much more was our delight when we arrived, met the staff and went on our first safari with our guide. And it constantly grew throughout our stay. Savute under Canvas is an extremely well run camp thanks to Daniel, the manager, with a wonderfully

We spent 2 nights here as part of our honeymoom trip to botswana. Perfect mix of comfort but still experiencing staying in a tent and feeling very close to nature. Chobe has great wildlife too. The food they mange to cook in their mobile kitchen is also very impressive. Would definitely recommend it.

I traveled to Botswana with my father who is 63 years old. After spending two nights at 'andbeyond chobe under canvas' we traveled to 'andbeyond savute under canvas'. The drive was enjoyable although long. We drove through a few towns and were able to witness how the local people lived. We also had a coller box and the back on the vehicle with as much as you could drink, water, soft drinks, and beer! once we arrived at the gate to re-enter the national park we were back on games drives looking for animals. We immediately saw a heard of elephants of around 15 and plenty of different antelopes. once we reached the camp we had time to have a wash and get our things sorted in our tents. I do feel the camp was a little out of the way and we didn't get much activity in the night. The
