We will be back! Great option for couples or families. Plenty to do plenty to eat if you choose to. Superb location - we only spent one night with limited time hence our desire to return and enjoy the complete experience.
We had a wonderful stay recently at Bartholomeusklip. From the time we arrived on Monday afternoon to our departure the Wednesday after brunch, we experienced nothing but first class treatment and attention. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and nothing was too much effort for them. Stacy and Jana made a great fuss of us when it came to mealtimes and Esmeralda and Mariske were energetic & enthusiastic to show us city folk the wonderful treasures in the reserve. The food was exquisite and worthy of 5 stars or more, thank you Chef Louise & kitchen staff. We had a fabulous time, have already shared our experiences with family and friends. We would love to visit this gem again. Thank you for a wonderful time of refreshment & rejuvenation.
This place is an absolute dream. We were meant to stay only 1 night but fell in love and ended up staying for 2 days. We wish we could stay even longer. The property is well-designed. Love that the houses feel so private and not like a typical hotel. The service was also excellent. We will definitely book for longer next time.
If I could bottle the calming energy felt at Bartholomeus Klip, I would... Instant relaxation, calm and stillness. Tucked away in the beautiful mountains and only a short hour to hour and a half from the center of Cape Town - highly recommend a stay here (at least 2 or 3 nights). We were lucky enough to stay over New Years Eve, going into 2021 (the perfect place to separate yourselves from the crowds) and the amount of time and effort spent on making this a memorable event for the guests (max 10 at the main house), was evident. The food at Bartholomeus Klip is absolutely incredible! Each meal, whether it's brunch, high tea or dinner, is an exciting event as you know the offerings are going to be out of this world. Each meal is set, but with the amount of courses and offerings you definitely will not go hungry - already missing the food! Overall a delightful stay. We spent time on the dam, took bikes out into the reserve, enjoyed a morning nature drive (informative about what the farm gets up to and the projects they are involved in) and many hours by the pool and garden. This place is bliss and not to be missed!…
We were absolutely blown away by our experience as Bartholomeus Klip. From the moment we walked through the door we were treated like absolute royalty but also like very dear friends! We were treated to welcome drinks and snacks, high teas, delicious breakfasts and the most incredible multi-course dinner. They put so much love and
