5 days of heaven, swimming in the crystal clear waters a treat, eating the sumptuous food, waking to bird song, wonderful. This is a place to go for everything, from holiday to conferences. sets your body and mind in order, recharges the batteries and clears the mind.

Gorgeous location, great staff. Incredible place to go and spend a couple days or more. Go on hike adventures, explore the local flora, eat well, hang with the baboons, get away. I loved my experience and plan to do it again if ever back in the area. Also, great value...

Natural beauty and abundance, soul food from the garden, lots of love, earth, water, air and fire. All centered in the core of conscious communal living. Doggi, cat, chicken, horses... Ancient land which teaches you magic. Come explore yourself...

After years of attending (hosting) retreats and having an incredible experience, our last visit was terrible. There was no coffee served and no explanation given. We experienced intermittent water suppy as our room "shared it's supply with the laundry". We could not flush our loo or bath one evening (the laundry was not the problem) and we were initially expected to wait until morning, and sleep in a room smelling of human waste, for something to be done. After making a fuss only, was something done. The kitchen served insufficient, raw and awful tasting food because "the oven was faulty" and nothing was done about it. We still paid extra per head for the food! Certain staff were rude, unfriendly and unhelpful, and you're actually expected to wash your own dishes while kitchen staff stand around idly observing.

I have just organised our 6th yoga and meditation retreat at Bodhi Khaya. Every time we go to Bodhi Khaya it is such an enriching and inspiring experience. The venue is very well set up for yoga, meditation, nature walks, swimming, the labyrinth walking and excellent accommodation. The location is breath-taking, with one of the largest milkwood forests in the country on site, two dams for swimming, the pointy topped mountain keeping an eye on the space. Everything about Bodhi Khaya is exceptional.
What really made this retreat so outstanding was the catering and the attention given by the management. Estelle Hartford was invited in by BK as our caterer. Every meal was outstanding. Some of the yogis described her food as the best vegetarian cooking they had ever eaten. We were really spoilt with three excellent and thoughtful meals a day. Our host, Georgina, greeted us, helped make people feel welcome. Marlene was on top of the room allocations and reservations, courteous and kind.
If you are looking for some special time to heal, find some stillness, enjoy nature and take care of your body, mind and spirit. I really encourage you to experience Bodhi Khaya Retreat centre.

A friend and I spent 2 nights in this beautiful place. The courtyard rooms are wonderfully simple with a nice, hot shower. There was no course or retreat at the time so we took time to explore and meditate at our own pace. The labyrinth is gorgeous. There is a medicine wheel to spend time sitting contemplating...the meditation and yoga room is filled with peace and a perfect place to chant and do yoga. The fynbos trail is absolutely magical and a must if you enjoy walking. This place is a pocket of pleasure in serene surroundings.

I stayed at Bodhi Khaya for a meditation retreat and had a room of my own. The rooms were basic, but perfect with white linen, great hot shower, and a dressing table. The mountains, ponds, gardens and surrounding area made for a perfect retreat getaway.
We only had vegetarian dishes, so I think the hotel does not do other menus but the food was fresh, organic and delicious.
