The Roundhouse is the best Self-Catering place to stay in Gansbaai as the owners are well experienced travel operators and own the tourism booking office in Town. The Roundhouse is in De Kelders, THE prime land based Whale watching area in the world and has a unique African feel with special touches such as Shell-stone clad walls contrasting with rough earthy paints. With Free WIFI, Rooftop Jacuzzi, outdoor Swimming pool and Games room with Pool and Table Tennis we have a large variety for you to lick back and relax for a few days. Our speciality is Shark Cage Diving and stay packages and offer a fantastic combination package for shark diving and Whale watching. I personally run the best outdoor activity in Gansbaai, Fatbike Tours down the stunning sand dunes in Walker Bay

Excellent stay. This place is well maintained. Clean and tidy. Dave the owner takes pride in ensuring guests are comfortable. This is close by to all amenities. A gem in Mossel bay. Will visit when we're in the area again. Not to be missed. Excellent views from the lookout deck.

Last minute booking but Dave the host did not disappoint, still in level two of the LOCKDOWN with all the restrictions Dave made sure we were happy and catered for, clean house and ofcourse the area was lovely time out of the city with friends or family a walk to the beach the neighbours are soo friendly we are coming back to explore gaansbaai nothing beats hospitality and dave and his team were amazing hosts

Had a very lovely one night stay here last week en route to L'agulhas. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. I slept very well. The self catering facilities in the room itself were small but if you need larger facilities there is a full kitchen on another floor and if you don't feel like cooking you can order dinner from the hosts. The top floor is an open deck area with amazing views. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Me and my friends had a lovely stay at Dave’s place in De Kelder. From the first moment they had great communication and were accommodating with all our special requests as well as flexible with checking in and out times. The place is stylish, very neat and had everything that we needed. We had such fun, we regrettably forgot to take photos. Thank you Dave. We will certainly come visit again.

We had the Chordata suite. Everything was clean, and comfortable. Come bed time, we found out that our neighbours bed and our bed were right next to each other, there was only a thin wall in between which divided the 2 bedrooms. It felt like there was a 3rd person in our bedroom, so loud the snoring was. We mentioned this to the hostess the next morning, but we didn't get any response from her. The breakfast was great, so was the jacuzzi, but that didn't make up for our sleepless nights. We didn't want to post a review, but on 2nd thoughts, why not. We have to warn people not to book this room. We felt like we were robbed from our weekend which we were so much looking forward to. Needless to say, we will not book here again.

Thanks for your review. I am really sorry about the person in the next room snoring, I have never heard this before from the 18 years that we have been open. That person must have had a really loud snore and I am not surprised you had an uncomfortable sleep. Sincere apologies for this as I was not made aware by the manager and if there was another room available for the 2nd night I would have upgraded you to another room and closed the Chordata suite off. I am glad you enjoyed your Breakfast and rooftop Jacuzzi and so sorry that this was not escalated to me. If you do visit the area again we will upgrade you and spoil you rotten :-)

The personnel in the establishment are nice and where always there for me. They even called me to ask what time I will be and helped me to look for supper. Maybe they need to get a TV at the entertainment

The Roundhouse Guesthouse's staff was more than welcoming and very helpful when questions were asked. Breakfast was delicious and right on time. I did not have a car, so it is not in the best location for walking to restaurants but it is in an ideal location if you wish to hike, which I did. Walkers Bay and Klipgat Cave is maybe a mile and a half away, and the De Kelder patch along the shoreline is even closer. I would stay again if I am in the area.

This is the place to be for a few days if you are in Gansbaai for Whalewatching or Shark diving. Friendly staff always available and a very romantic and nice house. Bedding was good (only a little short beds for me). Breakfast was good and the view from the rooftop is perfect. Relaxing staff and location.

This is a 'sleepy-like village', quite, very clean environment. The landscape is gorgeous. The bedrooms, shower/bath, toilet are clean, well maintained and comfortable. You will not starve at breakfast. From this location you can wonder the coastline and do your own thing or the lovely ladies (Sonia, Trudie, Jessica) and the one and only 'action man' Dave will advise on anything you want to do into reality. Unfortunately, they can't control the weather yet! Lovely people offering hospitality & tourism of a 6* Hotel service at a B&B Guesthouse. Their transport driver, Wynand, is a polite nice responsible driver. The restaurants the Roundhouse advises are excellent. Dave is not the quickest communicator but endeavour with him!! Would go back again with family.
