Lebanon Citrus has a few wooden cottages (and others) at the dam close to the N7 but in the middle of nowhere! The area is perfect for hiking, mountain biking and just for enjoying the silence! The wooden cottages are basic but you will find everything you need! We stayed there 3 days in a row and had a BBQ 3 evenings in a row! It is a wonderfull place to have a "braai", with a stunning view on the water you can enjoy nature on his best! We never saw such a beautifull star heaven, the Milky way is clear and super beautifull! Before you got to Lebanon Citrus stop in Citrusdale or Clanwilliam to go to the supermarket! Don't forget to bring a torch and wood for the "braai" (their is some wood around there but not much and not easy to find when it gets realy dark). The bathrooms are a bit of a walk and realy basic but ok.
If you come from the direction of Cape Town (N7) it will take you more less 12km on the gravel road to get there, if you come from the direction of Clanwilliam ii will take you more less 8 km on the gravel road to get there. Nearest by supermarket = Super Spar Clanwilliam (tourist info as well).

Paul and Sue are wonderful hosts at Lebanon Citrus Holiday Farm. We have stayed in the cabins and camped. The setting is absolutely beautiful right on Clanwilliam Dam. Beautiful green lawns, shaded and very private camp sites with electrical points and the cabins are lovely - equipped with all you need for self catering (with electricity). The ablutions are very tidy and run with gas and electricity. This is one of my most favourite camping destinations and I would highly recommend this venue to everyone that enjoys peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and of course a keen bass fisherman.

We stayed in Citrus Cottage which is a 2 bedroomed detached cottage on the brow of the hill overlooking the dam, which regretfully for us was dry - I heard somewhere that the dam is only 6% full at the moment. We actually saw cows grazing on the dam bed! The cottage has everything that you need for a comfy stay, well equipped kitchen and large terrace that runs the length of the building at the back overlooking a small garden laid to grass and surrounded by trees that offer shade but do not obscure the view. Beyond this small garden where there is also a freestanding braai (which needs a little repair as the base has cracked and is being held by with a log of wood) there are groves and groves and groves of orange trees as far as the eye can see. I was concerned before arriving that the cottage would be too close to the cabins and campsite but everything is well laid out, with reasonable amounts of space between things, and on walking around I was very impressed at the campsite pitches which also offer privacy to each tent. Natasha, our host was extremely helpful and sorted out a few glitches quickly and without fuss. Only thing I would ask them to change is put in a few candles and lamps for when load shedding happens.

We have been coming to Lebanon Citrus for many years now and it is one of the top 5 destinations for our family. The location is simply sublime and allows us to camp right on the edge of the dam. Ablutions are clean and general upkeep is just as good. They also offer cottages and the main house does seem to be a bit dated but very comfortable ( our friends stayed in the house )

We stayed here to break our drive from the West Coast (Paternoster) to the Cederberg. The cottage had all the necessities (need to bring own towels) but if you want to braai you need to ask for a grid at the office. The bungalows are close to the water and it makes a relaxing place to end a day of driving. It is on the scenic route from Clanwilliam to the Cederberg. This whole route is a gravel road which we traveled ok in a small car.

Camped here in December 2018. Had a great weekend, big site facing the dam, nice and enclosed and kinda private. Nice big tree for shade.
Great spot for swimming, fishing and water sports.
We will be back for sure!

Nice place in terms of being next to the dam. The ablution facilities need a serious upgrade and cleaning. Also collecting garbage at 23:00 hours when guests are camping outside deprives the guests of sleep. Otherwise great location and a great place to have a braai/bbq next to the dam.
