My room was in the longhouse, towards the garden. Comfortable bed, spacious room with Coffee/Tea facilities and nice Sherry! It was a bit dark inside, as there are only small windows. The breakfast is wonderful! Decoration in the Guesthouse very stylish-I liked it. The owners are friendly and helpful persons. I definitely can recommend this place.

I made a booking for my son (15) and myself at this place via booking.com. On arrival we were requested to call in, so we did. A Swiss man slowly came up to us, mumbled something about him 'not talking to cars'. Then he looked into the car and realised that my son is African. His immediate response was "well I dont like you" - I was speechless. My son is on the autism spectrum and that is why I avoid any confrontation in his presence. So I told the guy that we do not feel welcome here. He just said "OK' and went back to the guest house In his communication to the local Tourism Council he denies even to even have seen my son - which is impossible. However, he apparently saw my son's dog in the car, Prospective guests should also be aware that the 4 stars advertised on booking.com or anywhere else are not granted by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa Their answer: 'Unfortunately, the establishment in question is not reflecting as a graded establishment on our systems." It is important to mention as well that they - on top of this despicable behaviour - refuse refunding monies paid

We spent 2 nights there and can recommend this beautiful place. We had a skiboat and Michel, the Swiss co-owner, was super helpful that we could park the boat inside the premises. The setting of this B&B is legendary because you live in a tropical garden (birds, plants, palm tree, big lawns to play on, two pools). Joseph, the manager, is friendly and knowledgable. Clanwilliam has become a bit rundown, but the huge dam is still amazing. Saw two Bald Eagles.

Dear Ken Thank you very much for taking your time to write and post a review. It was our pleasure to have you and your family to stay with us and we hope it is the first of many more visits to come. It was a happy weekend for us too as once more we were filled with happy guests who were able to take advantage of the wonderful weather and spend time with their families on Clanwilliam Dam. How lucky were you to see two Bald Eagles! What a privilege. Until next time, we send you our warmest regards. Cheryl, Michel and Joseph.

Arrived very late and nowhere to stay from Namibia. A room was offered and nothing was too much for my host Michel to do. He could see I was dead tyred and hot and made sure I was made comfortable. From the passion that goes into the interior decorating, making one feel the Tranquillity of the area, to the fantastic gardens. One can easily stay here for a few days to recharge. Can definitely recommend the Yellow Alloe boutique guest house in Clanwilliam. Thanks Cheryl and her partner Michel
