Detailed Reviews
We spend one night at the Lodge. Spectacular Kalahari! Lodge is luxurious. Friendly hostess. Birders paradise. If you want to experience the Kalahari in luxury, this is the place! Although you need to drive about 50 km gravel road, you can reach the Lodge by car.

This lodge is simply awesome. Just off the R380 en route to the Kgalagadi Game Reserve one finds this hidden gem. Pure bliss!
The hosts Marelise and Jan Theart guarantee a comfortable stay in this self catering lodge with essentials provided, including fire wood, hot water, stove and fridge. Braai packs available on request.
Once you have kicked off your shoes after your long journey be certain to chill on the deck in awe of the expansive landscape and star filled heavens.
A must as a refreshing watering hole towards the North!

Not sure why the address here shows Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve - it is not part of Tswalu, but privately owned and managed by the Theart family.
Three bedrooms, each with 2 single beds. One bathroom with shower and toilet.. Open plan kitchen and sitting room with opening hatch to outside braai area. Firewood supplied for braai and donkey (warm water). Nice, private, with all required amenities for self-catering.
We paid R450 per person self-catering. I think it is overpriced for what you get. We stayed at several other farm "lodges" with similar offerings for much less.
