We’ve stayed at Walkersons a few times and it never disappoints. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff are always friendly and obliging. The only (slight) negative is that the WiFi is slow with very little coverage outside the main building. Other than that, no complaints. We’ll definitely be going back.

Blown away by the scenery . A relaxed environment where you can rest and recharge in nature . The staff is very helpful and eager to assist. We stayed in a luxury suite , catering for all our needs - comfortable and cozy. Loved that there is a good hair dryer , large towels , coffee machine , Wi-Fi and room service. Fly fishing equipment available at reception and you can book a guide to assist you . Just loved it so much that we stayed and extra night. The food is also great and the breakfast is included.

What a lovely stay we had at this beautiful property which is truly remarkable. The fire in our bedroom really added a great touch and was highly appreciated. The setting is remarkable. The STAFF are truly well trained and knowledgeable. Our food was of a high standard! We will be back next year.

The hotel is not geared for children at all. We would not recommend coming to the hotel if you have children. If you do, you eat separately from the other guests and your room is put behind the hotel without any view. The only view you have is of the helicopter pad. Food was good, room was very average. Definitely not 5 star accomodation. Also we do not eat pork and this was put on our child’s pizza which she ate. We did make mention of this before we got to the hotel. No attention to detail. Don’t think we will be back in a hurry. You pay a premium to stay at the hotel and it is certainly not worth the money!

We arrived at Walkersons for a 1 night stop over and though we would spoil ourselves with a Luxury Lakéside Room, we have been prevoiusly, but in the Lakeside Rooms. My biggest concern with this room, is that the bathroom is split into 2, one room has a double shower and toilet - no sink, you have to turn on the shower to wash your hands or run across the room the the other bathroom where there is a Bath and Sink, not very hygeneic at all. The carpets were soiled and the room looked like it could do with a good coat of paint. We lit the fire in the room, as it was quite chilly, went up to the dining room, where I had told them we don't eat lamb, this was acknowledged , however, what was on the menu...........lamb!! Yes there was a choice, a bony fish or vegetarian curry. We got back to the room, fire out :-( No turn down due to covid! Breakfast was really nice and the massage was good. This place needs a revamp.
