Enjoyed the pan fried trout, we all ended up ordering it since the meat selection was limited or not available.
The fish was cooked great (would have loved a lemon butter sauce with it), the added vegetables could have been more exciting.
The fire in the fireplace looked nice, but it was a bit hot for a December.
Service was a bit slow.

A group of 7 of us on a motorcycle road trip of the Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces stayed over for a night in September 2021. The Dullstroom Inn is old but quaint and comfortable. The rooms are old and basic, but clean.

There is a pub and restaurant on the property. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. I have seen some negative reviews but we have always had good experiences and service.

We have stayed at The Dullstroom Inn a few times previously on similar motorcycle road trips and they once again arranged for the motorcycles to be locked up overnight.

The breakfast, included, was quite comprehensive and was enjoyable.

Rates are very reasonable.

I mostly came to Dullstroom in for the vibe and historical part of it. For this, I was happy, as it is a very traditional South african old pub. I loved it.
Re the food, I was not very impressed. My trout was dry, so would recomand it for that. Maybe another dish would be better...

Don't expect to feel welcome here at all!!
You feel like an absolute intruder with the kind of service from the staff/owners at Dullstroom Inn

Dullstroom inn have slots from Grand Gaming Slots..

Besides the absolute overall rude service in their restaurant, they turn off their the machines when they don't feel like servicing/helping gaming customers.. And tell client the all the machines are broken when just the previous day all was in order

Personally i feel that their lack of enthusiasm with already restaurant clients makes them even a worst fit for housing these gaming machines that they clearly don't feel the need or will to service customers that come to play

Worst experience in a restaurant hosting these slots ever - one would think they are purposely being rude to drive people away!

The one star rated is slightly over rated and not deserved!

Had Sunday lunch at the Dullstroom Inn. Food was value for money but likely won’t be back due to staff trying to add nearly R400 to the bill and when we detected this of course claimed they had no idea how this happened. Place is historic and we have been visiting for many years.

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service and hospitality received from Andre, which he provided to my children during their stay at Dullstroom Inn.

I commend you for your excellent service and assistance in finding a room to accommodate my children on such short notice.

You do not always come across such exceptional customer service, and I was truly impressed by the level of care and attention to detail you provided. Your quick and efficient handling of my request was a testament to your professionalism and dedication to your role.

Furthermore, your warm and friendly demeanour made my children feel welcome upon arrival and during their stay. Your dedication to ensuring their comfort and satisfaction (with a baby and a toddler) did not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you did.

Thank you again for going the extra mile to make their stay at Dullstroom Inn a memorable and enjoyable experience.

I will recommend your business to my friends and family, and I look forward to staying with you soon.

The people running the Inn are rude, arrogant and very unaccommodating. They have no idea how to treat people and they just don't seem to care what people think at all. We stayed there for 1 night, and that was too long. The service was extremely bad, and in fact the breakfast that was supposed to be served never even materialized. Not value for money at all. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

In March 2011, we stayed at Dullstroom Inn on our way back from Kruger park to Johannesburg. We definitely donot recommand this place. The walls and ceiling are deteriorating, the room had a strong smell of disinifectant or insect srpay, the light in the bathroom was out of order, etc. In addition breakfast was nothing but good food, and the price, about R 850 for 3, is not that cheap, in view of the quality of the place. Better take time to find a nice B&B around...

We were one couple in a party of three who stayed one night on our way South.
Lovely furniture in lounges and bar. They unlicensed rooms were not modern but very nicely done. The bedrooms? What can I say. All three of our rooms were the same standard, dreadful. Think the last time they were decorated was probably in 1960, and I think that's being kind. They were very clean though and the beds comfortable. There was absolutely no heating in the bedrooms except for an electric blanket. To make things worse the bedroom door had a gap from the frame all round and as they kept the back door to the hotel propped open it was very cold. We asked if the had heaters but they didn't.
They do say on a notice in the room that they will be refurbished in 2017. Before you stay better check they have been done.
Breakfast was very good as was the snack we had in the bar at lunchtime. Lovely staff as well. The only problem is the state of the bedrooms.
