We love this hideaway from the world. It is less than a 2 hour drive from our frenetic lives in Gauteng. No, it is not the cheapest in the area but it is more than fair value for the wonderful experiences. The accommodation is pristine and well thought through, the food is exquisite and the surroundings just feed your soul. My husband’s special dietary needs were catered for without hesitation. The chef is highly skilled, whilst the housekeepers were a pleasure to engage with.

What is extra special for us though is that although the owners are there to promptly assist us when needed, we felt as though we had the grounds to ourselves.

Our visit was not our first to this beautiful country lodge and it certainly won’t be the last.

We enjoyed our stay in the Trout House, which is conveniently located next to the trout dams. The fishing was great and we had a scrumptious breakfast at the Stone Manor. There is a lovely walking trail on the farm and we received excellent service from staff members. The road noise takes a bit of getting used to. Interior decoration at the Trout House is a bit dated.

Great to have your positive feedback on Stonecutters fishing and meals and on the friendly staff. Trout House styling is in keeping with a country cottage in this area - stone walls, corrugated iron roof, cottage pane wooden windows and furnishing are in line with this look. The R540 has become potholed that adds to the noise of the road, we believe repairs are due soon. The upside is that the dirt road to the lodge is just one kilometer! Best Wishes, Lesley

What an absolute pleasure, food and accommodation was great and the customer service was phenomenal! Big shout out to Christy for going above and beyond! Be sure to try their lemon curd and vanilla ice cream -it is to die for! The stone cobble rooms have everything that you need and the under floor carpet heating really help for those chilly nights. Would definitely recommending Stonecutters Lodge to family and friend. Great job :)

We visited Stonecutters Lodge at the end of November 2020.
We stayed in one of the cobbler units and it was very nice.
The venue is quiet and very good looked after.
Can definitely see the owner prides themselves in the accommodation and surroundings they are able to provide.
We can highly recommend the lodge for a weekend away (as a weekend is actually not enough)

We stayed in the Trout house. It was absolutely amazing. The attention to detail is fantastic. Coffee perculator with enough coffee, different teas, underfloor heating, electric blankets, mirrors near a plug for us women to dry our hair. The list goes on and on. Super clean and neat. Beautifully maintained gardens and trout dams. The owners cannot do enough for you. The service is excellent and the food to die for. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a place to stay while on business or for a fantastic restful holiday.

We had a lovely stay at Stonecutters Lodge. Close proximity to Dullstroom. Individual cabins were extremely clean, had our own kitchenette and a brai on the deck for cooking.
Staff were lovely and the property offers lovely walks. We would definitely stay again.

What a beautiful, relaxing time we had. Staff so very pleasant and will go to all lengths to make your stay an awesome one. The food was also very good and well presented, you will never go hungry as the portions are quite large!
The cottages are perfect with enough storage space and I loved the shower! Bed very comfortable and spacious. All in all a wonderful short break that was worth it. Thank you all

My partner and our little ones had a beautiful stay and the service was phenomenal. The surroundings are quite breathtaking and there's quite a lot to explore on the premises. Dinner baskets provided are quite generous and have a home-cooked meal touch. The premises have everything you need.
