What a fantastic experience. Can only agree with all the other excellent reviews which sum up what Amakhosi is all about. We came away after 3 days feeling we had enjoyed every moment we had been there. The staff are really special, they are so warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way...

A group of 8 of us from Hever Castle Golf Club in Kent stayed at Amakhosi in March and all agreed that the experience was fantastic. Most of us had experience of other safari lodges and agreed that Amahosi was one of the best. We were treated like royalty and had a memorable three days.

safari luxury at its best. The game drives are led by really knowledgable guides. The food is excellent and the lodges large and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and manged to see everything. This place is faultless and I would be suprised if you could find anywhere with a better combination of luxury, safari, food and accommodation

Stayed at Amakhosi for 3 days in October 2010. Luxurious lodge, really helpful staff, great game drives, delicious food. Lodge: We stayed in the honeymoon suites which were really luxurious. When we arrived at our lodge, there was champagne chilling in a bucket. Another evening that we arrived back from a game drive, a bath had been freshly drawn, and...

Since returning, I have spent at least an hour a day looking at the pictures and just savoring the memories. I travel extensively for my job and am fortunate enough to be able to stay at many of...

This luxury private game lodge is a great mixture of traditional Zulu cultur and good old British colonial style. Our ranger had a lot of experience and the rest of the staff made our three day stay at the lodge an uforgettable experience. The standard of the cottages are on top level and so is the food starting with the...

We stayed at Amakhosi for two nights - 15 and 16 November 2008. What a wonderful experience. The Game Reserve is lovely and the staff are amazing. You get personal treatment from the start. We arrived late but they had kindly kept our high tea available for us - which we had on our private patio overlooking the river. The...

Amakhosi is a fantastic place to unwind and get a feel of the bush and the hospitality of South Africans. From the wet towel on arrival and the washed car with a lunch pack in it on departure we were looked after superbly for our complete stay. The accomodation is private and luxurious with beautiful views of the river. Sitting...

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Amakhosi in South Africa. We can honestly say that this trip was the most amazing experience of our lives. Allow me to start at the beginning: We arrived to the lodge on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted at the beautiful entry way with warm hand towels and cool drinks....
