We decided to stop over at Pongola on the way to Kruger from Durban. Gerdaira the manager was so helpful, accommodating and friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we wanted. The B&B was clean, had everything you would need for a night's stay over. The breakfast was hearty, served in a delightful diningroom.

I have stayed here three times and always find the owners and staff to be most welcoming. The rooms are very clean and have a microwave and fridge, which allow one to prepare something light or store whatever one is taking along for the trip. Dinners are available on request, prepared homestyle, which allows for a break from restaurant meals. The Dive Inn allows one to break a long journey in comfort. The passing traffic at night attests to the fact that this is sugar country, but that is part of the overall charm of staying in this part of the world. Some may find this impacts "sleep quality". I do not. Dog friendly on advance notice. The breakfast is rather standard, although the dining area is very clean and staff friendly. Recommended without hesitation.

friendly and invitingly warm, large family room was the choice, there was even a fridge in the room, we could bring food from outside and eat in the establishment. lots of room for the kids to play and run around. there is even a braai area with a microwave incase like me you have to warm milk for baby or when u peckish at night. there isnt much to do in pongola but we did find a wonderful hidden restaurant called Ntonga Restaurant found at the Sugar Mill.

Friendly reception at 22:00 on a Sunday night of a long weekend. Thank you :) well equipped, large room, a lot more than what I'd expect from a simple stop-over B&B.

Happy to accommodate our non-standard breakfast request.

Excellent value for money! This little place is a keeper!

Stayed only one night to break the journey from Kruger Park to St. Lucia. (You wouldn't really want more than one night in Pongola). We arrived on a Sunday and there is absolutely nowhere to go for dinner or a beer.
That aside, the Dive Inn was fantastic, the air-conditioned ensuite room we had was great. Fridge in room for our own beer made a pleasant evening with a take away pizza from the petrol station. Breakfast was good, would definitely stay again if passing through. Steve & Lyn Rood, Kent, England.

We only spent one night there but I can say it's a great place to be. We were greeted by a parrot! And the bird says "Hello!" Seriously! :) I loved it!!! The room was very nice. It felt comfortable and cozy.

Clean rooms, beautiful garden, excellent breakfast and wonderful service, Manager went out of his way to accommodate us with braai facilities and utencils. (Hope the neighbours didn't mind our noise) The perfect stopover from Gauteng to Mozambique. I recomend this place to all. Will definately stay there again. Well done to new owners!
