We had an enjoyable stay at Tamboti, our host was very friendly, welcoming, and responded to our emails promptly. Tamboti is part of an old farmhouse set in a beautifully kept garden with lots of bird life present.
While Tamboti don’t caterer for dinners our host arranged access to Shayamoya Lodge close by for a sundowner and Al Carte menu. We felt safe with a security guard present from sunset to look after our vehicle and rooms.
Tamboti is an Ideal overnight stop before crossing into Swaziland.
The breakfast, including the fruit was filling.
The water pressure was very strong making for a great shower and plenty of hot water after a long day’s travel. Our only suggestion would be to try and reduce this pressure as it created the toilet and taps to drip the whole night.
We were disappointed with the WIFI reception which was very poor. We had important downloads to do but couldn't connect, the Web site advertised that WIFI was provided, but this does not mean you will be able to access it...maybe the owners should look at installing WiFi boosters to the rooms.
Overall, the venue set not far from the main road and Swazi Boarder makes for an easy stop over if you are going that way or on to another destination.

Our hostess welcomed us very warmly upon our arrival.
The place is quiet and peaceful, just what we needed.
The room was very spacious and clean, we spent our afternoon on the patio watching the sunset and just enjoying the tranquility.
The price was very reasonable and the breakfast, which was included was more than I expected and very delicious.
I look forwarding to seeing all Ziggy's big ideas for the place come to fruition and will definitely be visiting again, hopefully soon.

My girlfriend and I wanted a weekend away from home, and Tamboti Ridge was truly amazing. The room was clean, well decorated and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised and grateful when we returned late at night, and the staff had put the Aircon on for us, prior to our arrival.

It was a quiet stay, and driving up to the accomodation there was a calm dam, and even mango and litchie trees.

Breakfast in the morning... You will not find better! Seriously impeccable. A large selection of freshly prepared and cut fruit, a selection of cereals, muffins, cold meats, cheese, fruit juices and really really good coffee! All this was enjoyed after placing our order for the cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast was really a treat, and prepared and presented very well.

We were the only ones staying at the accomodation at the time, and we were treated like royalty.

Will gladly return any time. I really really wish other accommodations could be like this.

Little jewel near Pongola! Although the B&B was a few kilometers outside of Pongola the drive there was worth it! I was shown my spacious room with en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The AC was a bit noisy but the staff brought me a cooler that was doing the job. My room was looking out onto the garden with a lovely stoep infront of my room where I could relax. Breakfast the following morning was delicious quick and hot. Coffee was suberp and I enjoyed 2 cups while looking towards the mountains in the background. I will visit them again. Hopefully soon!

Tamboti Ridge is situated on a quiet and peaceful farm near Pongola. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. Ziphelele was an amazing host - very welcoming and willing to go the extra mile. We'll definitely be back.

It was our second visit to Tamboti Lodge we were upgraded to Shayamoya Lodge again! we just love the beauty of the gardens, the accommodation is stunning and the meals are excellent, there is now a spa which I will book into on my next visit. A great stop half way between Durban and Kruger Park. I cannot recomend it enough. Thanks so much for a great stay. We will be back.

Ideal stopover point - rural setting on working farm. Plenty bird life otherwise quiet.
The hostess was friendly and made frequent inquiries to ensure we were happy.
She kindly accommodated our request for an early breakfast.

What a lovely well-kept property! I was in a state because I was in an accident shortly befotre arriving there. Zigi did her best to comfort me and even prayed for me. Everything is neat and very tasteful. The breakfast was scrumptious and just the right way to start the rest of my trip. I can definitely recommend Tamboti Ridge as the perfect overnight stop.
