Business trip to Jozini, location of Umziki was ideal for the type of business trip i was on. The self-catering facilities were excellent but not utilized due to my short stay. Lovely view of Jozini dam from unit 1, some wild life roam amongst the units which was peaceful and beautiful. The bedding was of a good quality, The unit is fitted with Aircon and fan. Which essential in that area because of the extreme heat and humidity of the area. .

What a fantastic weekend we had. We where a group and found this venue to be perfect. The office was so helpful and we all were pleasantly surprised when we got a phone call prior to out arrival to enquire if we needed any wood or ice, which was then delivered to our chalet. The communal boma and kitchen area is perfect for groups and made the weekend extra sociable. The children loved the slide and play area which is all very well maintained. We will definitely be back next year.👌

Overall Very good.
We stayed in campsite 1
The two bathrooms / shower needs benches to put your clothes/vanity on, otherwise there is only the floor. For elderly people this can be a problem. Also put a few towel hooks to hang your towel on would also be great. The outside shower has no light ? Put a small LED solar light in to use.
What is the reason for putting out the power after midnight ? It is extremely hot and now no fan can work - and it is not schedule in load shedding time.

Hi. Thank you for your kind review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. We did unfortunately have a power outage. It was reported and restored at around 3 in the morning. The showers each have 6 hooks in the walls for towels or other clothing. The portable towel rail may be moved to where it is more comfortable for the camper. It is a good idea to put some solar lights up for the outside showers, especially for the rainy season when power outages can happen unexpectedly, thank you for that, it is definitely something to look into. Warm regards Mari

I stayed at Umziki for 6 nights with my two young girls, my mother and her best friend. We had the most wonderful time!

Everyone was extremely welcoming from the housekeeping and security staff to the managers and owners who came around each day to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying their stay.

The chalets were exquisitely cleaned and well catered for! The sheets were spotless and the beds were very comfortable.

The view was stunning and we regularly had some furry visitors come past out chalet. We saw impala, nyala, monkeys and even buffalo!!

The swimming pools were wonderfully blue and the kids had a blast on the jungle gyms and trampoline with big fields for them to run and play.

We will definitely be back soon!

Originally, Umziki Chalets was a randomly selected venue for a spontaneous holiday. Since our first visit, Umziki Chalets has been mine, my husband's and our friends most favorable choice of accommodation. The area of Jozini/Mkhuze has always been our getaway holiday destination and finding Umziki Chalets has just made every Holiday more than we could ever expect. We fell in love with Umziki so much so, that my now Husband and I chose Umziki for our Wedding Venue. The beuty of the surrounding nature and the tranquility of the night life sounds, makes this the perfect destination to find yourself and get away from all the stress that we encounter in our daily lives. The staff and management always impress and go out of their way to go beyond your expectations. I rate Umziki a top class self-catering resort for both families and friends. Umziki Chalets offers excitement and relaxation for adults and kids. I cannot wait to visit again. To ALL Management and Staff at Umziki - Thank You for existing, Thank You for your friendly hospitality and Thank You for the best memories. #highlyrecommended

A delightful gem at Jozini Dam! Seven chalets and two campsites all with views across to Jozini dam. The water slide was perfect for the kids. We did a mini self game drive on the property and saw Buffalo, and came across a 4x4 “play pit” to add more spice to the game drive! Both campsites have full ablutions, well kept and a lovely braai area, each with a mini splash pool/jacuzzi. Lona was very friendly and helpful from start to finish and assisted us to book a big 5 game drive with a lodge at Manyoni and then tiger fishing out on the dam. We had a wonderful weekend!

Umziki Chalets is the most wonderful holiday for kids. We went away with friends- all together 7 kids. They did not stop playing. We bird watched, walked, went on game drives, lounged in the spectacular rock pool and super tubed for hours. The boma was a treat as we braaied, made stick breads and roasted marshmallows while listening to the laughter of the distant hyenas. The best part was how the warthogs and different buck happily walked through the camp, great excitement from the children. The friendy hospitality was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.

We booked out almost the entire place for the weekend for a 40th Birthday Celebration. This place is awesome. Well priced, clean well equipped chalets, lots of fun amenities for the kids. The kids particular enjoyed the water park style water slide. Game can be viewed at the water hole rather from the hide at the water hole or from the lapa next to the slide pool. We also managed to book a day of Tiger fishing at Jozini Tiger Lodge through the Mziki office which was convenient. There is really every you need including Dstv, ice and wood for sale, Boma and fire pit and fully equipped communal kitchen. The local staff also did an excellent job of cleaning up daily and servicing the chalets. We will definitely be back as this place is ideal for large groups. We just not sure if we could walk on our own on the bush trails or if we needed a guide. We therefore stuck to the chalet area and water hole.

Hi Lee. We are happy that you enjoyed the 40th birthday celebration at Umziki and we are looking forward to your next visit. The roads are mainly used for self gamedrives. We do not recommend walking in the bush but we do get guests that prefer walking completely at their own risk. Kind regards Mari

We found this little gem on our trip to Kosi Bay. Quiet, clean, well managed, with excellent facilities all over. The camp site surprised us with inside and outside showers, chalets far enough from each other to give privacy, and views over Jozini dam. We will easily spend a couple of days at a time and definitely our new stop over!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with group of friends, the setting is of such a nature that it lends itself to privacy but also to enjoy with a group of friends. The facilities were great and I enjoy the availability of the facility and utensils amongst other things on a trust basis. Lee is an exceptional host. Will definitely promote Umziki amongst family and friends
