The Roadrunner Lodge Motel is a fabulous retro-boutique 1960s motel decked out in mid-century style located directly on historic Route 66. We are dog friendly and have a limited number of dog friendly rooms. Please contact us directly to confirm availability of a suitable room for you and your pooch(es). This motel offers period accommodations with a few modern amenities including premium bedding, plush towels, fast Wi-Fi internet, and satellite channels on HDTVs. If the weather is right, bring a drink out to either of our fire pits and share your road trip experiences with our guests from around the country and around the world. Ask for our lawn bowling set or other outdoor games or just listen to our 1960s radio station complete with music and commercials from the time. Our guest rooms are a bit smaller than new facilities and do NOT have coffee makers, refrigerators, or microwaves in them. These amenities are available in our lobby and in our shared courtesy room.

Hotel's Favourite
This was my third visit to the clean, swanky, comfortable Roadrunner lodge. The owner obviously takes great pride in creating such a cool, modern nod to a classic Mother Road ethos for the rest of us to enjoy. I love the stylistic details in the rooms, the sounds of the 60s, and the creature comforts of fluffy towels and reliable internet. Laundry, ice, and a morning cup of coffee are all available on the premises. The new fire-pit area for human guests to enjoy socializing outdoors reminds me of the days when neighbors knew each other and gathered outdoors together on summer evenings and the dog park is a stylish place for puppy friends to have their outdoor needs met as well. The outdoor area provides a perfect place for Route 66 travelers to share experiences and tips. This time I chose to fly over the Mother Road rather than driving on it. I landed my small aircraft at the local airport and arranged for pick up and drop off with generous, professional, and courteous owner of the Roadrunner, David. One of the few motels in town to offer this service, the Roadrunner makes it possible for weary travelers of both the road and the sky to find their rest. All along the Mother Road are dreamers looking for a fruitful future while rolling along the roads of what we remember as a simpler way of life. At the Roadrunner you will find a unique vision for the future of this special place created on the foundations of the style of the early sixties. Get off the highway and get those kicks on Route 66!

We loved the thoughtful retro touches of the Roadrunner! The room and grounds were sparkling clean. The "magic fingers" bed and the vintage radio, board games, and reading material made the stay super fun, and the complimentary Moon Pies were too charming. The bed was also very comfortable. We really appreciated the hospitality extended to our sweet pup as well; the staff left her a tray of treats in the room. The hotel provides a very cute and clean dog run with seating for humans and nice nighttime lighting.

We knew we wanted to travel Rt 66 but had no idea where to stay and which portions of the "original" road would provide the nostalgic experience we desired. We found the Roadrunner Lodge and it was a winner! We arrived in the evening and the owner, David, personally greeted us and escorted us to the fire pit area with flames aglow and what a thrill to have an original transistor radio playing Oldies music from the motel's personal radio station! The guest rooms were immaculate with original pictures and furniture. There were many structures still standing along the Boulevard which gave us a very good sense of a by-gone era of the Mother Road. The Roadrunner exceeded our expectations and I would happily return and highly recommend. Although we did not have a dog with us, I could see they were very welcome to include a fenced in dog park area.

This was our first trip on Route 66 and the Roadrunner Lodge Motel was definitely one of our favorite motel to spend the night. It was nicely renovated and the owner kept the nostalgic look of the 60's. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner was very friendly.
